Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap : (1) kemampuan kognitif anak (2) penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis alam (3) dampak penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis alam terhadap pengembangan kemampuan kognitif anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak, pendidik, pengelola dan orangtua anak. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan, wawancara, catatan lapangan dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, mendeskripsikan data dan membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis alam mempunyai dampak sangat baik ditunjukkan dengan kemampuan kognitif anak yang mengalami perkembangan yang sangat baik. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa pembelajaran berbasis alam ini sangat penting diajarkan pada anak khususnya taman kanak – kanak. Pembelajaran dengan bahan – bahan dari alam sangat menarik perhatian dan minat belajar anak. Pembelajaran ini juga sangat mendukung perkembangan karakter anak dan menjauhkan anak dari sifat kejenuhan dalam belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pembelajaran literasi dan layanan pendidikan yang diterapkan di TK Amalia Makassar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi anak usia dini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menerapkan berbagai strategi pembelajaran, yaitu strategi langsung, individual, kelompok, dan deduktif. Strategi langsung digunakan untuk mengenalkan huruf dan kata sederhana, strategi individual memfasilitasi kemampuan motorik halus melalui kegiatan tracing, strategi kelompok mendorong interaksi sosial dan kolaborasi anak, sedangkan strategi deduktif mengembangkan kemampuan fonologis dasar. Layanan pendidikan seperti sudut baca, media visual, buku cerita, kegiatan mendongeng, serta supervisi kepala sekolah turut memperkuat proses pembelajaran literasi. Namun, keterbatasan fasilitas dan rendahnya keterlibatan orang tua masih menjadi hambatan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan literasi anak usia dini dipengaruhi oleh sinergi antara strategi pembelajaran, layanan pendidikan, dan dukungan keluarga. Penguatan media literasi, peningkatan kompetensi guru, serta kerja sama intensif antara sekolah dan orang tua direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan perkembangan literasi anak.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Implementation of Local Wisdom Cultural Values ​​of Bugis-Makassar in TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal III Karunrung, Makassar City. The purpose of this study is to see the application of local wisdom culture of Bugis-Makassar in developing aspects of moral values ​​in children aged 5-6 years. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, with a descriptive research type. The data sources in this study were the Principal, Teachers, and Children aged 5-6 years. Data collection techniques were in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that there are effective changes in the moral value aspects of children aged 5-6 years through the implementation of local cultural values ​​of Bugis-Makassar such as sipakatatau (mutual respect), sipakalebbi (mutual appreciation), sipakainge' (mutual reminder), lempu'/lambusu' (honesty), reso/akkareso (trying or being responsible), and assamaturu'/situlung-tulung (helping each other or mutual cooperation) at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal III Karunrung Kindergarten, Makassar City. A total of 11 children (73%) have developed Very Well, 3 children (20%) have developed according to expectations, and 1 child (7%) has started to develop. These cultural values ​​are implemented informally through habituation methods, role model methods, and character strengthening methods through social interaction.

Abstract

The focus of this research is how local cultural values are integrated into character and moral education for children at TK Bukit Permai 2. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data is tested through triangulation of time, technique, and source, as well as collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that TK Bukit Permai 2 consistently integrates local cultural values into children's daily activities, such as the use of polite language ("iyye", "tabe"), the habit of greeting teachers, the practice of sharing food, and the reinforcement of empathy and mutual cooperation values through collaborative activities. Teachers also use culturally-based learning methods such as playing traditional games (dende/engklek), performing regional dances (Mappadendang), and storytelling folk tales rich in moral messages. These values are instilled through habituation, exemplary behavior, and socio-cultural approaches in accordance with the developmental theories of Vygotsky, Piaget, and constructivism. Parental support and synergy with the school environment strengthen the effectiveness of character education based on local culture. Children show improvement in character in aspects of empathy, discipline, responsibility, and respect.

penggunaan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa di Kelas V UPTD SDN 214 Baru Tancung. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan yang mengikuti langkah-langkah Kemmis dan Taggart yang melibatkan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pendekatan yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif terdiri dari pengamatan terhadap proses pembelajaran dengan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah di kelas V UPTD SDN 214 Baru Tancung. Sementara data kuantitatif berfokus pada hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran tersebut. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dengan menggunakan aplikasi Canva di Kelas V UPTD SDN 214 Baru Tancung dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Terlihat peningkatan dari hasil belajar siswa sebelumnya, dimana pada pra-siklus hanya 41% siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan dengan rata-rata nilai 59,11%. Pada siklus pertama, 11 dari 17 peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan dengan persentase 65% dan rata-rata nilai 70,58%. Pada siklus kedua, jumlah siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan meningkat menjadi 15 dari 17 siswa dengan persentase 88% dan rata-rata nilai 85,29%.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the traditional congklak game on the development of numeracy skills and Islamic values in early childhood education. The study addresses a gap in the literature, as many previous studies tend to separate cognitive development from spiritual and moral formation, despite the holistic orientation of Islamic pedagogy. While congklak has been widely recognized for its contribution to early mathematical skills, its potential role in fostering Islamic values such as honesty, patience, and cooperation has received limited scholarly attention. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. The participants consisted of 28 children aged 5–6 years selected through purposive sampling at TK Al-Alaq Barombong. Data were collected through structured observation, numeracy tests, and documentation, and were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test. The results show a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups (Z = −4.513; p = 0.001), with an average increase of 18.93 points in numeracy scores among children who participated in congklak-based learning activities. These findings indicate that congklak is not only effective in improving numeracy skills but also serves as a meaningful medium for internalizing Islamic values through interactive and rule-based play. Therefore, this study recommends the integration of traditional value-based games into early childhood curricula to support holistic development encompassing intellectual, social, and spiritual dimensions.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the gross motor skills of children aged 5–6 years before and after engaging in traditional play activities at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 20, Pangkep Branch. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed. The population of this study consisted of all students at TK Kemala Bhayangkari 20, Pangkep Branch, totaling 61 children. Purposive sampling was used to select 20 children, who were divided into two groups: 10 children in the experimental group and 10 children in the control group. Data were collected through observation and performance tests, while data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests. The results showed that the implementation of traditional games significantly contributed to the improvement of children’s gross motor skills, particularly in aspects of balance, agility, and coordination. The findings indicated that: (1) children in the experimental group were initially categorized as “Not Yet Able” before the intervention and improved to the “Very Able” category after the intervention; (2) children in the control group were initially categorized as “Not Yet Able,” and after participating in seesaw play activities, they showed only a slight improvement, placing them in the “Fairly Able” category; and (3) statistical analysis revealed a significant effect of traditional game interventions on the development of gross motor skills among children aged 5–6 years in the experimental group. Therefore, it was concluded that traditional games had a positive effect on the gross motor development of kindergarten children.
