Abstract

AbstractTeaching materials are an important component to influence the motivation and interest of BIPA learners. This study aims to describe the use of teaching materials based on concept maps containing the legend of Surabaya based on the results of problem analysis and needs analysis. Data collection techniques were carried out through literature studies, observations, and interviews with teachers, students, and the head of BIPA, Surabaya State University. The data analysis technique used the Miles Huberman model. The results of the study showed that teachers agreed to the use of teaching materials based on concept maps. Concept maps are recognized as an effective graphic tool in language learning. Utilization of concept maps using Canva. BIPA students responded positively to the use of concept maps using Canva media. The legend of Surabaya was chosen as the content of teaching materials because the history of Surabaya is important to be used as a topic for developing teaching materials as a means of promoting the city of Surabaya and Surabaya State University itself. The use of teaching materials based on concept maps with the content of the Surabaya legend will be applied to level 3 reading classes at Surabaya State University.

Abstract

Pesantren is known as a traditional educational institution with the yellow book. However, with all its traditionalism, pesantren have been in contact with the development of science. Thus, pesantren emerged that integrated their traditional Islamic education with science and technology, such as Pesantren Sains Tebuireng Jombok and Pondok Putri Pesantren Tebuireng Kesamben Jombang. Then, this can be linked to the role of pesantren in helping to realize the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045, welcoming 100 years of Indonesia. This research aims to document, describe, and understand how these two institutions integrate Islamic education and science to create an excellent generation toward the Golden Indonesia 2045. In addition, it is also to provide inspiration for other pesantren institutions, that the intersection of science with pesantren is not a taboo. The research approach is descriptive qualitative with an observational research method. Active and full participatory observation (total participant observation) was chosen with the aim of having the researcher as the main instrument or tool of the research, directly and fully involved in every process and activity related to the research subject.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Kompleksitas yang melekat mulai dari institusi pendidikan hingga pada siswa sendiri terlihat jelas akan mempengaruhi motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Kajian ini mengidentifikasi berbagai faktor yang memengaruhi motivasi belajar, menganalisis strategi pembelajaran yang efektif, serta mengevaluasi peran guru dan pemanfaatan teknologi—khususnya media video—dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi literatur. Artikel ini menyaring berbagai literatur dari tahun 2020-2025 melalui database Publish or Perish dengan fokus penelitian yang tersebar dalam Google Scholar. Teknik pembahasan menggunakan Systematic Literature Review ini memanfaatkan PRISMA dan VOSViewer. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dapat ditingkat melalui pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan perhatian, keterlibatan, dan minat siswa. Strategi yang berpusat pada siswa, dukungan dari guru, serta penggunaan teknologi yang sesuai, secara signifikan turut berkontribusi dalam membentuk motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi acuan praktis dan teoritis dalam merancang pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang lebih menarik dan efektif.

Abstract

Javanese script is a cultural heritage of the Indonesian nation that has high historical, philosophical, and aesthetic value. However, in the context of education, student interest in learning Javanese script is still relatively low. Low student interest results in low Javanese script writing skills in students. Lack of Javanese script writing skills results in low student learning outcomes. This occurs because students have difficulty distinguishing the form of Javanese script that is almost similar, the lack of reading sources containing Javanese script, the lack of use of Javanese script in everyday life and the lack of learning media that is adaptive to the development of digital technology. These conditions require a solution, so in this study Rajagita Media becomes a solution to the problem of students' lack of skills in writing Javanese script and the low learning outcomes of writing Javanese script students of SMP Negeri 7 Madiun. This study aims to determine the process of implementing Rajagita media in learning to write Javanese script for grade IX students of SMP Negeri 7 Madiun which influences students' writing skills. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental method, namely a Quasi-Experimental Design, applying a "post-test only control group design." The results of the study show that the process of implementing or using Rajagita media in the experimental class with the following steps: 1. Providing trigger questions in apperception, pre-test, introduction of Rajagita media and procedures for use, as well as group discussions and practice of writing Javanese script on various platforms independently by students, and discussions of various obstacles and challenges can have a significant impact on students' writing skills. These writing skills include neatness of writing, correct use of pairs and sandhangan, using scripts in words and sentences correctly. Students' writing skills have an impact on improving student learning outcomes. The increase in student learning outcomes is proven by the p-value = 0.000 <0.05, meaning the p-value is smaller than the significance level, so Ha is accepted, so the study shows that the use of Rajagita media has a positive effect on improving students' Javanese script writing skills. This is evidenced by the difference in the average post-test score in the experimental class using Rajagita media with a pre-test score of 68 and a post-test score of 68. 87, an increase of 19 points. The control class, which did not receive any treatment, had a pretest score of 67, increasing to 69, a 2-point increase. This difference in scores indicates that Rajagita media is effective as a learning medium in improving students' Javanese script writing skills. The conclusion of this study confirms that the process of using Rajagita media in learning has proven effective in developing students' Javanese script writing skills. The application of technology in education not only enriches learning methods but also contributes to the preservation of Javanese script and strengthening cultural literacy in the context of modern education.

Abstract

Kritik sosial dan nilai-nilai moral selalu tertuang dalam suatu karya sastra karena merupakan cerminan dari realitas sosial di masyarakat. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bentuk-bentuk kritik sosial dan nilai moral individu yang dapat diteladani dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data simak dan catat. Dari penelitian ini dapat ditemukan perwujudan kritik sosial yang berupa 1) Pihak berwajib dan penguasa tidak mampu melindungi rakyat kecil, 2) masyarakat yang malas berbenah diri, 3) penindasan untuk mendapatkan informasi, 4) penyelewengan hegemoni dan ideologi pemerintahan, 5) pergerakan radikalisme mahasiswa, 6) tindakan sewenang-wenang kepada petani dan empat nilai moral individu yang diantaranya 1) pantang menyerah, 2) suka membantu, 3) kesetiaan, dan 4) rela berkorban. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan yaitu masih banyak ketimpangan sosial yang terjadi di dalam masyarakat oleh karena itu, pengarang mewadahi kritik sosial dan nilai-nilai moral melalui karya sastra agar pembaca senantiasa peka terhadap konflik-konflik yang terjadi di lingkungan sosial.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis teks argumentatif merupakan bagian penting dalam pengembangan literasi kritis siswa, namun masih menjadi tantangan di jenjang Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas aplikasi Quillbot dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks argumentatif siswa kelas XI SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Kedungpring. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen semu dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Sebanyak 40 siswa terlibat, terbagi dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, masing-masing terdiri dari 20 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes tertulis (pra dan pascaperlakuan), observasi, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji independent sample t-test dan perhitungan skor N-Gain menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 25. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen, dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 68,00 menjadi 84,10 dan skor N-Gain sebesar 78,42% (kategori tinggi). Kelompok kontrol mengalami peningkatan dari 66,20 menjadi 76,45 dengan skor N-Gain 53,75% (kategori sedang). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Quillbot memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap struktur kalimat, ketepatan tata bahasa, dan pilihan diksi siswa dalam menulis teks argumentatif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap inovasi pembelajaran menulis berbasis teknologi di SMK, serta membuka peluang pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan dalam meningkatkan kualitas literasi akademik.

Abstract

Poetry, as a form of literary expression, not only offers aesthetic beauty through the arrangement of words but also contains profound meanings that represent values of life, culture, and education. In the context of modern Javanese literature, poetry serves as a reflective medium of the collective experiences of Javanese society amidst dynamic change. Modern Javanese poetry acts as a bridge between traditional heritage and modern awareness, combining artistic expression with moral messages.This study aims to examine the educational values embedded in modern Javanese poetry through the lens of Ki Hajar Dewantara’s educational philosophy. His seven fundamental principles—freedom, nature, culture, humanity, nationality, kinship, and student-centered education—serve as the theoretical framework for analysis. Through a literature review and hermeneutic approach, this research reveals that modern Javanese poetry holds transformative educational messages relevant to character development and cultural preservation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the strategy for managing the library at Ahmad Wahid Hasyim Middle School, Jombang. This research is a qualitative research. As a source of information in this research is the library manager. Data collection uses observation techniques, structured interviews and documentation. The results showed that the management of the library in this school had managed the school's library facilities well. To find out who is on board at the library, the school principal establishes an organizational structure for managing the library as the executor of daily activities. The head of the library management conducts an evaluation with the aim of finding out what is lacking in an effort to develop the library which will be used as input for improving the organization of the library in the following academic year.

Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between students and educators and learning resources in a learning environment. Learning will come alive depending on how the teacher manages the class well. Like the teacher at Abdul Wahid Hasyim Jombang Middle School, he manages the class well in learning Akidah Akhlak. Classroom management is needed to optimize learning. Therefore the teacher must have a role in managing the class including the teacher's skills in creating conducive learning conditions and the teacher's skills in controlling learning so that it is conducive again Improving the quality of learning aqeedah akhlaq has been carried out, both efforts to improve the quality of teachers in the field of aqeedah akhlaq itself as well as improving the quality of teachers by the principal as well as the teacher's role in improving the aqeedah akhlaq learning with students. The role played by the teacher is to improve material, use various methods, use facilities and conduct evaluations. In improving the learning of aqidah morals there are also driving and inhibiting factors. As for the driving factor is the high interest of students in the subject of aqidah morals while the inhibiting factor is the background of students who have different levels of intelligence that are not the same. Thus, to improve the learning of aqeedah morals, as teachers and principals, they strengthen their duties by carrying out various efforts and being able to solve the various obstacles they face. This study aims to find out more about the teacher's role in managing the class in improving the learning of the moral creed for students at SMP Ahmad Wahid Hasyim Jombang. To achieve the above research objectives, a research approach was used, namely qualitative research. Then the method used in this research is observation, and interviews.
