Abstract

This study aims to explore the Islamic educational values embodied in the nine-night tahlil tradition after death in Karang Lebah Village, Praya. The tahlilan tradition is a religious practice that serves not only as a prayer for the deceased but also as a means of Islamic education based on local culture, passed down through generations in the community. This study used a qualitative approach with field research, using data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation involving religious leaders, community leaders, and local residents. The data obtained were analyzed through systematic data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.The results show that the nine-night tahlil tradition is carried out consecutively for nine days after death, with a series of activities including the recitation of Surah Yasin, dhikr (remembrance of God), tahlil (recitation of the Quran), and communal prayers led by religious leaders. This tradition embodies Islamic educational values, including faith, worship, morals, and social values. Furthermore, the values of muamalah (social interaction) are also reflected in harmonious social interactions, the practice of sharing wealth through meals, and the strengthening of ties between residents. Thus, the nine-night tahlil tradition not only serves as a religious ritual, but also as an effective non-formal Islamic educational medium in shaping religious character and strengthening solidarity and togetherness in community life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation process of Majelis Zikir Basmalah in Abian Tubuh Baru Village and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing its development. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the leader of the assembly, administrators, congregation members, religious figures, and local community members. The results showed that the transformation of Majelis Zikir Basmalah occurred gradually through changes in organizational structure, religious functions, social interaction patterns, values, and adaptation to social changes. The assembly developed not only as a religious ritual forum but also as a medium for spiritual and social development within the community. Supporting factors included routine religious activities, active participation of community members, and the role of religious leaders in strengthening spirituality. Meanwhile, the primary inhibiting factor was the limited involvement of younger generations in religious activities. Overall, Majelis Zikir Basmalah plays an important role in strengthening religious values and social harmony in the community amidst modern social changes.

Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ low academic achievement. The study aimed to determine the effect of the TaRL approach on students’ academic achievement in the subject of Social Studies (IPAS) regarding local cultural acculturation in Grade 5 at State Elementary School 200 in Palembang. A quantitative research method was used, with Grade 5A and 5B students as the research subjects. The results showed that the average pretest scores of the control class and the experimental class indicated relatively similar initial abilities. After the treatment, the average posttest score for the control class was 79.1 and for the experimental class was 84.2. The results of the independent t-test (hypothesis) yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.034 < 0.05, so H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. The Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach has a significant effect on learning outcomes in the IPAS subject regarding local cultural acculturation in Grade 5 at SD Negeri 200 Palembang.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of local wisdom-based Canva learning media on students’ engagement in IPAS learning for fifth grade students at SDN 136 Palembang. This research used an experimental method with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The sample consisted of 52 students divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and questionnaires, then analyzed using the t-test with SPSS version 26. The results showed that local wisdom-based Canva learning media had a significant effect on students’ learning engagement, indicated by a significance value lower than 0.05 (Sig. < 0.05). Students in the experimental class were more active, enthusiastic, and focused during the learning process. Therefore, local wisdom-based Canva learning media is effective in improving students’ engagement in IPAS learning

Abstract

This study aimed to describe students' skills in coloring Jumputan batik motifs in Cultural Arts and Crafts (SBdP) learning for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 90 Palembang. The study was motivated by the importance of developing students' creativity and artistic skills through local culture-based learning. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were students of class IV C at SD Negeri 90 Palembang. The results showed that coloring Jumputan batik motifs improved students' creativity, accuracy, neatness, and ability to select and combine colors. Students also demonstrated good enthusiasm and developed an understanding of the local cultural values of South Sumatra. The average score of students' artwork was 87, categorized as "Good." Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation procedures and components ofpositive and negative reinforcement used by teachers in the learning process at TKPurnama Mataram, this research employed a qualitative approach using a casestudy. The research subjects consisted of the principal, Group B teachers, parentsand students. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model,which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while datavalidity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The result showedthat the implementation of positive and negative reinforcement was carried out in arules, teachers role modeling, observation of childern’s behavior, and the provisionof reinforcement based on the behaviors displayed. Positive reinforcement providedin the form of characters star cards, rewards, praise, applause, thumbs-up gestures,appreciation for parents and star badges to maintain desirable behaviors.Meanwhile, negative reinforcement was implemented through simple reprimands,additional learning time, environmental cleaning activities to reduce desirablebehaviors. The application of both forms of reinforcement its used alternativehelping teacher manage childern’s behavior during the learning process, particularlyin improving discipline, social-emotional development, and moral religious value.

Abstract

Perkembangan jaringan 6G diproyeksikan menjadi fondasi utama bagi ekosistem Internet of Things (IoT) berskala masif dengan kebutuhan cakupan yang luas, latensi sangat rendah, serta efisiensi energi tinggi. Namun, area sulit jangkau seperti pedesaan terpencil, daerah pegunungan, atau wilayah dengan banyak halangan fisik masih menjadi tantangan utama bagi operator jaringan. Di sisi lain, arsitektur jaringan mesh dan teknologi Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS) muncul sebagai kandidat kuat untuk membentuk lingkungan radio yang dapat diprogram dan memperluas jangkauan sinyal tanpa menambah daya pancar secara signifikan. Artikel ini mengusulkan sebuah arsitektur mesh 6G-IoT berbasis IRS yang dirancang khusus untuk mengoptimasi kualitas sinyal di area sulit jangkau. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini meliputi: (1) perancangan topologi mesh 6G-IoT yang memanfaatkan node IoT sebagai relay adaptif; (2) integrasi IRS sebagai “reflektor cerdas” pada titik-titik bayangan sinyal (non-line-of-sight); dan (3) formulasi model optimasi gabungan pemilihan rute mesh dan konfigurasi fase IRS untuk memaksimalkan Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) dan probabilitas cakupan. Hasil simulasi konseptual menunjukkan bahwa arsitektur yang diusulkan mampu meningkatkan SINR rata-rata hingga sekitar 35% dan cakupan area hingga 30% dibandingkan skema mesh tanpa IRS, serta lebih efisien energi dibandingkan pendekatan penambahan base station konvensional. Penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa kombinasi mesh 6G-IoT + IRS berpotensi menjadi solusi praktis untuk memperkecil kesenjangan digital di area sulit dijangkau.   Abstract The development of 6G networks is projected to become a fundamental foundation for massive-scale Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems, characterized by wide coverage requirements, ultra-low latency, and high energy efficiency. However, hard-to-reach areas such as remote rural regions, mountainous terrains, and environments with significant physical obstructions remain major challenges for network operators. Meanwhile, mesh network architectures and Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS) have emerged as strong candidates for creating programmable radio environments and extending signal coverage without significantly increasing transmit power. This article proposes an IRS-assisted 6G-IoT mesh architecture specifically designed to optimize signal quality in hard-to-reach areas. The main contributions of this study include: (1) the design of a 6G-IoT mesh topology that leverages IoT nodes as adaptive relays; (2) the integration of IRS as “intelligent reflectors” deployed at signal shadowing (non-line-of-sight) locations; and (3) the formulation of a joint optimization model for mesh route selection and IRS phase configuration to maximize the Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) and coverage probability. Conceptual simulation results demonstrate that the proposed architecture can improve average SINR by approximately 35% and area coverage by up to 30% compared to conventional mesh schemes without IRS, while also achieving higher energy efficiency than traditional base station densification approaches. These findings indicate that the combination of 6G-IoT mesh networks and IRS has strong potential as a practical solution to reduce the digital divide in hard-to-reach areas.

Abstract

Access to clean water remains critical in peat-water regions such as Central Kalimantan. Peat water typically exhibits unstable pH, high turbidity, and elevated dissolved solids. This study aims to design, build, and test an IoT-based water filter prototype using activated carbon from three local biomass types—rice husk, palm kernel shell, and empty fruit bunches (EFB)—tested individually and as a mixture (1:1:1) with mass variations of 200, 300, 400, and 500 g. An experimental comparative multi-treatment design was applied, with three replications per treatment. The prototype uses Arduino Uno R3, NodeMCU ESP8266, pH, turbidity, TDS, DS18B20 temperature, and YF-S201 flow sensors, transmitting data to Firebase Realtime Database and displaying it via a Kotlin-based Android application. Testing was conducted on two water sources: PTM lab tap water (initial pH 8.2; TDS 0.0 mg/L; turbidity 162.8 NTU) and engineered peat-like water (pH 9.1; TDS 249.4 mg/L; turbidity 14.7 NTU). Results show the mixed activated carbon achieved the best TDS reduction of 93.0% (from 249.4 to 17.5 ± 0.8 mg/L), neutral pH of 7.6 ± 0.1, and turbidity of 0.0 NTU in engineered water. The highest iodine adsorption capacity was achieved by rice husk activated carbon (862.92 mg/g), exceeding the SNI standard of 750 mg/g. All filtration parameters met Permenkes No. 2/2023 standards for sanitation purposes.
