Abstract

This study compares two multi-criteria Decision Support System (DSS) methods, Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) and Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS), for ranking natural tourism destinations in Banyuwangi Regency, Indonesia. Using a quantitative design, survey data were collected from 50 respondents who assessed 48 destinations using five criteria like facilities, entrance fee, safety, travel distance, and cleanliness. The analysis followed the CRISP-DM framework from business understanding through evaluation and interpretation. The MOORA method applied vector normalization and benefit cost optimization, while the WASPAS method combined weighted sum and weighted product models to produce preference scores. Results show that Bangsring Underwater emerged as the most competitive destination overall, achieving preference values of 0.1932 using MOORA and 0.6837 using WASPAS for Decision Maker 1. Sensitivity testing across ten weight variation scenarios indicated that WASPAS showed stronger individual level dominance, ranking the top alternative first in 8 of 10 scenarios, while MOORA ranked first in 7 of 10 scenarios. However, when extended to all respondents, MOORA demonstrated higher population level robustness and slightly higher average accuracy at 51.61% than WASPAS at 50.32%. These findings indicate a trade-off between stability and responsiveness. MOORA is preferable for generalized tourism planning involving diverse stakeholders, while WASPAS is better suited for adaptive or personalized recommendation contexts.

Abstract

Recognizing Balinese script from electroencephalogram (EEG) signals remains a challenging problem due to low signal amplitude, non-stationary dynamics, and significant inter-subject variability. Despite previous attempts, no single feature extraction method has been universally effective in addressing these limitations. To fill this gap, this study systematically evaluates five feature extraction techniques—differential entropy (DE), power spectral density (PSD), discrete wavelet transforms (DWT), Hjorth parameters, and statistical features—on the Balinese imagined spelling using electroencephalography (BISE) dataset, which contains EEG recordings specifically designed for Balinese script recognition. For classification, both artificial neural networks (ANN) and support vector machines (SVM) are applied, and their performance is validated across multiple experimental settings. Results demonstrate that DE consistently provides more stable and discriminative features than the other methods, achieving the highest classification accuracy when combined with ANN. These findings highlight the potential of DE-based approaches to advance electroencephalogram driven Balinese script recognition, offering a culturally significant contribution to brain-computer interface (BCI) research and supporting future applications in inclusive artificial intelligence, digital heritage preservation, and assistive technologies.

Abstract

The global landscape is undergoing a digital transformation marked by the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the move toward society 5.0. Companies are expected to manage data efficiently. CV Bali Treasures, a percussion instrument manufacturer, still records wood-based production data manually using Microsoft Excel, complicating trend analysis and decision-making. This study implements a Business Intelligence (BI) dashboard using Microsoft Power BI to improve raw material inventory management. The methodology follows the BI Roadmap using data from the Processed Wood Inventory Mutation Report (LMHHKO) from March 2019 to September 2024. System evaluation was conducted through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the Black Box Testing method involving five users. The results show the dashboard effectively visualizes inventory data, supports data historical analysis, and speeds up decision-making. Users confirmed the dashboard met their needs and was easy to use. This BI implementation is expected to support digital transformation and enhance the company's efficiency and competitiveness.
