Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of school principals in the management of the Independent curriculum at SD Negeri 64 Lubuklinggau. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were principals and teachers at SD Negeri 64 Lubuklinggau. Data collection by interview, observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique begins with data collection and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the role of school principals in the management of the independent curriculum runs in accordance with the stages, namely curriculum planning, curriculum implementation, curriculum evaluation, and follow-up of the independent curriculum at SD Negeri 64 Lubuklinggau, and has a significant impact on improving the quality of learning, especially in terms of improving student competence, both in the academic and character fields. The successful management of the independent curriculum also shows an increase in student involvement in the learning process, an increase in critical thinking skills, and the strengthening of the values of the Pancasila Student Profile in the school environment. However, there is still a need for improvement and improvement in certain parts to be able to maximize the management of the independent curriculum at SD Negeri 64 Lubuklinggau.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa di Fakultas Bahasa Ilmu pengetahuan dan Teknologi melalui kegiatan workshop. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) berorientasi pada pemberdayaan mahasiswa. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memfasilitasi para mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilannya dalam hal membuka peluang wirausaha. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama bulan Maret-Juli 2025. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan adalah para mahasiswa yang berjumlah 30 orang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa para mahasiswa sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan dan berkomitmen untuk kedepannya dapat terus mengembangkan keterampilan wirausaha salah satunya berupa teknik ecoprint ini.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the folding cupboard learning media in the fourth grade science lesson of SD Negeri 224 Palembang. The subjects of this study were the fourth grade of SD Negeri 224 Palembang. Data collection techniques in this study used student and teacher response sheets, pretest posttest question sheets and validator sheets. The results of this study indicate that the pretest results with a minimum value of 25 and a maximum value of 90 with an average value of 54.46 with fairly effective criteria. Posttest results with a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 100 with an average value of 76.42. While the normality test, homogeneity test, validity test, reliability test, and level of difficulty were tested with SPSS version 25.

Abstract

Background: Salmonella enterica subspecies enterica serovar Typhi, sometimes known as Salmonella Typhi, is the bacterium that causes typhoid fever. It is a systemic infection that is mostly spread by contaminated food or water. Methods: Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, this systematic review concentrated on full-text English literature published between 2014 and 2024. Editorials and review articles that appeared in the same journal as the submission were not accepted without a DOI. The literature was assembled using a variety of online resources, including ScienceDirect, PubMed, and SagePub. Result: Following a rigorous three-stage screening procedure, eight papers were found to have relevant links to our current extensive investigation. After that, the entire text was carefully examined, and these particular sections got extra focus. Conclusion: In summary, there is a significant amount of typhoid-related disease and mortality that may be avoided by implementing preventative measures, such as the introduction of a typhoid conjugate vaccine.

Abstract

Binahong leaf extract has been experimentally tested containing several compounds that are effective used as corrosion inhibitors. Further computational chemical research was conducted to determine the interaction of the compounds contents, including vitexin, ursolic acid and p-coumaric acid with the iron using the Density Functional Theory (DFT) method based on B3LYP/6-31G. Quantum chemical parameters from optimization results include EHOMO, ELUMO, dipole moment, energy gap (ΔE), electronegativity (χ), ionization potential (I), electron affinity (A), hardness (η), softness (σ), electrophilicity (ω) and nucleophilicity (ε). The interaction strength parameters of the inhibitor with Fe atom, namely charge transfer (ΔN), interaction energy (Δψ) dan back-donation energy (ΔEb-d), indicate that ursolic acid is the best inhibitor molecule. The interaction of inhibitor with Fe (100) seen from the energy of adsorption (Eads) and the bonding energy (Ebinding) suggests that among the three main contents of plant leaf extract, ursolic acid has the highest value of 111.92 kJ/mol with a bond length value of Inh-Fe of 1.91 Å. Binding length data and binding energy indicate that the interaction that occurs is a chemical interaction.

Abstract

Chronic disorders such as cancer can be caused by an imbalance in free radical production with antioxidant defenses in the body. This research aims to obtain the best compounds as future drug candidates. The potential of catechin compounds and their derivatives as cancer drug candidates has been studied through antioxidant properties, toxicity, drug scores and molecular docking. In this research, antioxidant activity was studied using the DFT (Density Functional Theory)/B3LYP/3-31G method in the gas phase. Toxicity and drug scores were analyzed using OSIRIS Property Explorer software. Analysis of the interaction of catechin and modified catechin compounds with 5KYK cell protein using MOE (Molecular Operating Environment) software. The research results show that the antioxidant properties are well explained through the antioxidant reaction mechanism which occurs more easily in the Single Electron Transfer – Proton Transfer (SET – PT) mechanism. The total energy produced by IP (Ionization Potential) + PDE (Proton Dissociation Enthalphy) is smaller. Catechin compounds and their derivatives are not toxic (no risk) for gene mutations, tumors, irritation and reproduction. Catechin compounds and modified catechins (1-5) have a drug score value of (0.453-0.871). It is estimated that catechin compounds and their derivatives can be used as potential antioxidants without side effects on biological systems. From the pharmacophore study, it was found that the compound that had the best interaction with the 5KYK receptor was compound 1.

Abstract

The Gamkonora people are an ethnic group in Indonesia whose members have an outstanding linguistic ability: they are able to speak more than two languages, that is, two or more of Gamkonora, Ternatan-Malay, Ternate, and Bahasa Indonesia. The use of these languages is related to the residual traces of the powers that have ruled the area in the history of North Maluku: the Ternate sultanate, European colonialists and Indo nesian central government since independence. Reflecting on the current language behaviour of the Gamko noran younger generation, which tends to be the Indonesian language (read Malay); the authors question how far the Gamkonoran’s Indonesian language ability has influenced their Gamkonoran language and culture. Through ethnographic studies, the authors found that two languages—Indonesian and Gamkonoran—have different roles in their culture. Therefore, the language shift to Bahasa Indonesia by Gamkonoran youth will not replace the Gamkonoran language because the use of their tribal language is supported by their traditional institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the conceptual understanding of mathematics among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 9 Medan through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model combined with the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), based on the model developed by Kurt Lewin and further modified by Kemmis and McTaggart. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 32 students from class VIII-4. Data were collected through observation and conceptual understanding tests. The results showed that the combination of PBL and TaRL effectively improved students' conceptual understanding. The percentage of learning mastery increased from 25% in the pre-action stage to 59.38% in the first cycle, and reached 81.25% in the second cycle. These findings indicate that the integration of PBL and TaRL had a positive impact on students’ mathematics learning outcomes, particularly on the topic of triangle congruence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Role Playing learning model on students’ speaking skills in Indonesian language learning for third-grade students at SD Negeri 101740 Tanjung Selamat. The background of this research is based on the low speaking skills of students, including a lack of confidence, anxiety when speaking in front of the class, and the limited use of varied teaching methods. The Role Playing model was chosen because it is considered capable of encouraging students to actively engage and express themselves through relevant and enjoyable role simulations. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. Data were collected through questionnaires and speaking skill tests. The sample consisted of 32 students from the third grade of SD Negeri 101740 Tanjung Selamat. Data were analyzed using normality tests, correlation tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there is a positive and significant effect of using the Role Playing learning model on students’ speaking skills. The implementation of this model increases students' self-confidence, fluency in speaking, and their ability to construct proper sentences within the context of Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) in Rasau Jaya Dua Village, Rasau Jaya Subdistrict, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, was conducted under the theme “Independent and Sustainable Development through Health, Education, Environment, and Village Facility Development Programs.” This program aimed to address key issues faced by the community, particularly in the areas of environment, education, and limited supporting facilities. The main activities included areca nut tree planting to prevent abrasion and preserve the environment, an anti-bullying campaign for elementary school students, a financial literacy program to encourage saving habits, and group exercise activities to promote health and physical fitness. In education, study groups were organized for elementary school students (grades 1–6) to enhance learning motivation and academic performance. Additionally, the program contributed to village development through the installation of cemetery signboards and papaya cultivation to support local economic benefits. The implementation of all activities was supported by village officials and community participation, resulting in positive impacts such as increased environmental awareness, improved educational quality, and the promotion of sustainable village development.
