Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is often called the silent killer because this disease can affect all organs of the body and cause several kinds of complaints. The number of people with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) based on the province in South Sumatra is 5,220 people. The region with the most sufferers is Lubuk Linggau City with 1,176 DM sufferers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics and length of illness with the compliance of respondents to control blood sugar levels at Rupit Hospital, Muratara Regency. This type of research uses analytic observations with cross sectional methods. The sample in this study were type 2 DM patients as many as 42 samples. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling, the researcher conducted an interview with the help of a questionnaire instrument. The dependent variable in this study was compliance with blood sugar control, while the independent variables were characteristics and length of illness. Data analysis using the Chi Square test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between age and education with respondents' compliance with controlling blood sugar levels (p = 0.000) and there was no relationship between work and length of illness with compliance with controlling blood sugar levels (p> 0.005). Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between age and education with respondents' compliance in controlling blood sugar levels, and there is no relationship between work and length of illness with respondents' compliance in controlling blood sugar levels. The research suggestion is for the hospital to increase knowledge and information to patients with type 2 DM about the dangers posed by diabetes mellitus in the form of complications and how to handle them.

Abstract

Sex education is still very taboo and is still considered not a topic of conversation that needs to be discussed with children. talk about sex is not an easy conversation for parents. Parents tend to avoid and close themselves about this topic by prohibiting children from asking and talking about sex. Based on the facts in the field, the level of sexual violence against children continues to increase every year. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the role of mothers as educators with early childhood knowledge about sex in the working area of Puskesmas Batu Bandung in 2023.This type of research is analytical observational with cross sectional design. The number of samples of this study were 92 respondents selected by putposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that most of the respondents (72.8%) stated that their mothers acted as educators in early sex education, half of the respondents had good knowledge about early sex. The results of the Chi-Square test obtained p = 0.000 means that there is a relationship between the role of mothers as educators with early childhood knowledge about early childhood sex. This research should be used as information and reference material to examine how the role of parents in early childhood sex education.

Abstract

Individual Health Efforts (UKP) or often called curative services, the target is individuals and or households. The orientation is the healing and rehabilitation of someone who falls ill. UPT Puskesmas Muara Kulam is an inpatient health center, which in its implementation implements programs both Public Health Service Efforts (UKM) and Individual Health Efforts (UKP). The utilization of basic health services by the community in 2020 was 45.8% of the 12,021 population.The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the decision of parents to bring their children to the UKP service of the Muara Kulam Puskesmas, North Musi Rawas Regency in 2023.This type of research is analytical observational with a cross sectional design. The sample size of this study was 62 respondents selected by putposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that there was no relationship between age, education, employment, ownership of health insurance, availability of health workers and accessibility with the decision of parents to bring their children to the UKP Puskesmas Muara Kulam Mutara District. While for the perception of pain there is a significant relationship with a value of p=0.002. This study should be used as information and reference material to examine how to improve the utilization of health services at the puskesmas.

Abstract

Children are the next generation of the nation, so the quality of the next generation depends on the quality of child development, especially in infants aged three years (toddlers), because the first three years of life. Monitoring the growth and development of toddlers is very important to determine the presence of growth disorders (growth faltering) early. To achieve effective interactions between mothers and children, mothers must pay attention to their attitudes because attitudes arise from interactions in understanding, feeling and behaving on an object that is valued positively and negatively.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and attitudes about child growth and development with maternal behavior of conducting SDIDTK in the Working Area of the Tanjung Sakti Health Center, Lahat Regency in 2023.This type of research is analytical observational with a cross sectional design. The number of samples of this study was 81 respondents selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that most respondents (63.4%) had good knowledge, supportive attitudes (70.4%) and good behavior (58%) towards the implementation of SDIDTK. There is a relationship between maternal knowledge and attitudes with maternal behavior to implement SDIDTK in children with a p value of 0.000. Abstract

Hospitalization is a plan that requires children to stay in the hospital to undergo therapy and treatment. During this process children can experience traumatic and stressful. Most children who experience hospitalization show uncooperative behavior towards health workers shown by crying reactions. playing games will release children from the tension and stress they experience because by playing games, children will be able to divert their pain to the game. The type of research is Quasi Experimental, with a research design of One Group pre test and post test design. Sample 58 people. Structured mini-modules were given to every mother whose child was treated at Rupit Hospital. Questionnaires were given to respondents to assess the level of knowledge. Data analysis using Paired T-test parametric test. The average knowledge of respondents before being given a mini module is 54.7 and after being given a mini module to 71.21, with p < α = 0.05 with knowledge (p = 0.000). From these results it is concluded that there is an effect of giving mini modules about play therapy during hospitalization on knowledge. It is expected that the Rupit Hospital can provide a special room for play and play programs for children.

Abstract

Toddlers are the age group that most often suffers from malnutrition and malnutrition, which can be assessed by measuring nutritional status. Nutritional status of toddlers is closely related to various factors including mother's age, mother's education level, parents' occupation, total family income, child characteristics and the regularity of mothers checking their children to the health service unit. This study aims to determine the relationship between the characteristics of mothers, toddlers and compliance to come to Posyandu with the nutritional status of toddlers at the Padang Serai Health Center, Bengkulu City in 2023.This research method is observational research using a cross sectional study approach and this research design is focused on knowing the factors of maternal characteristics, toddlers and compliance with coming to Posyandu that affect the nutritional status of toddlers with a total sample of 87 samples with a purposive sampling method then conducted interviews and filling out questionnaires by parents / mothers of toddlers and then measuring nutritional status based on anthropometric measurements of BB / UU compared to WHO_NCHS Z-score values. The results of the univariate test analysis of respondents who had toddlers with good nutritional status were 78 respondents (89.3%) while respondents who had toddlers with poor nutritional status were 9 respondents (10.3%). Bivariate analysis results There is no relationship between the characteristics of mothers, toddlers and the level of compliance of maternal visits to posyandu with the nutritional status of toddlers at the Padang Serai Health Center, Bengkulu City in 2023.Researchers suggest that the health center can provide useful information and input in efforts to improve health services for mothers and children, especially in providing counseling to mothers related to posyandu and nutritional status in toddlers.

Abstract

Based on the Ministry of Health's Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) (2022), the prevalence of stunted toddlers in Indonesia reached 21.6%. Meanwhile, data from the Bengkulu City Health Service shows that out of 10,237 toddlers, 147 toddlers are stunted, whose height and weight are lower than children their age. Based on the conditions above, one form of treatment that can be done is through education about balanced nutrition.This study aims to be able to carry out nursing care and document the results of nursing care for Families of Mr. D and Mr. M with a stunted toddler, by providing health education about balanced nutrition in the working area of Betungan Nursing Health Center in 2023.The method in nursing care is a case study using a descriptive method, namely by using facts according to the data obtained regarding the patient's condition.The results of this study show that in assessing families with stunted toddlers, 1 nursing problem can be established, namely a knowledge deficit. Health education about balanced nutrition can be carried out in the Families of Mr. D and Mr. M with a stunted toddler for 5 days, within 45 minutes of administration, there was an increase in knowledge, in the pre test the client could only answer 1 question out of 5 questions while in the post test the client could answer all the questions correctly.Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that providing health education about balanced nutrition can increase patient knowledge. It is recommended that community health center officers frequently provide health education therefore people can be exposed to material about stunting and increase their knowledge.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO), declared the COVID-19 or corona virus outbreak to be a global pandemic. children are at risk of contracting COVID-19 due to their high activity and tendency to group together (Pradana et al, 2020). In addition, children's immune function is immature, and children are susceptible to respiratory system infections (Nurhidayah et al, 2021). Vaccination against COVID-19 is one of the government's breakthroughs to fight and deal with COVID-19 in the world, including Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the Determinant Factors Affecting Mother's Behavior in Receiving the Covid 19 Vaccine for Children Aged 6 - 12 Years in the Work Area of ​​the Mukomuko City Health Center in 2022. This type of research is a descriptive quantitative study using a Cross Sectional approach. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with a total of 81 respondents who had school-age children 6-12 years in the working area of ​​the Mukomuko City Health Center. The independent variables in this study were knowledge, perceived seriousness, cues to act, perceived benefits, perceived obstacles. While the dependent variable is Mother's Behavior in Receiving the Covid 19 Vaccine. The statistical test in this study used the chi-square test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between knowledge, cues to act, perceived benefits, and perceived obstacles to Mother's Behavior in Receiving the Covid 19 Vaccine for Children Aged 6-12 Years with a p value of 0.000 <α = 0.05.

Abstract

Cases of pre-eclampsia in Bengkulu City are still one of the causes of maternal death. Based on data from medical colleagues, in 2013 it was 324/10000, 2014 experienced a slight decrease, namely 320/10000 January-October to 426 cases/10000 births caused by pre-eclampsia/eclampsia. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of Pre-eclampsia. Eclampsia at the Midwifery Polyclinic at the Mukomuko Hospital in 2022. This research was an accidental sampling study which was taken incidentally, the population was pregnant women who came to the midwifery polyclinic with a total sample of 81. Data collection was carried out using a direct interview technique using a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using Univariate and Bivariate analysis with the chi-square test at α 5%. %), it was mostly known that pregnant women who had primiparous parity were at risk, namely 38 respondents (46.9%), a small number of pregnant women who had a history of hypertension before pregnancy experienced pre-eclampsia, namely 5 (6.2%), almost the majority of pregnant women who obese had preeclampsia 28 (34.6%). And the results of the chi-square value of ρ = 0.027, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, and 0.015, indicating a relationship between age history, family history of pre-eclampsia, parity, history of hypertension before pregnancy, and obesity with the incidence of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women at the Obstetrics Polyclinic Mukomuko Hospital in 2022... It is hoped that hospitals will increase counseling for pregnant women to carry out regular pregnancy checks so that possible complications during pregnancy can be detected early.

Abstract

Hand washing has health benefits, namely it can reduce the number of microorganisms, reduce germs found on dirty hands, so as to reduce the occurrence of infection. The goal of health education is to change people's or society's behavior from unhealthy behavior to healthy behavior. To change one's behavior can be done by teaching and learning. The role of nurses as educators can be done by helping clients to increase health knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education about hand washing on the level of knowledge and hand washing behavior of the patient's family at the Mukomuko Regional General Hospital in 2022. The design in this study used a Quasy Experimental One-group pre-post test design method. Sampling used purposive sampling technique, the number of respondents was 26 patients' families who were in the internal medicine inpatient room at the Mukomuko Regional General Hospital. The independent variable in this study is the Influence of Health Education about hand washing while the dependent variable is knowledge and behavior of hand washing. Statistical tests in this study used the paired t-test. The results showed that there was an effect of health education on hand washing on the level of knowledge and hand washing behavior of the patient's family with a p value of 0.000 < α = 0.05. It is expected that nurses have a role in continuing to remind patients and families to practice hand washing behavior. Educational activities can increase the knowledge of the patient's family, which will lead to attitudes and ultimately foster individual or group behavior based on individual awareness and willingness to perform the six stages of hand washing.
