Abstract

Integrating entrepreneurship into various subjects, particularly biology, helps foster creativity and problem-solving skills. Often seen as theoretical, biology can link to entrepreneurship through eco-friendly activities. This study aims to develop electronic worksheets (E-LKPD) as a learning tool based on ecopreneurship to increase students' interest in entrepreneurship, especially in waste recycling, within an Islamic context. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model Thiagarajan (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), which is modified into 3D (without Disseminate). The instruments used in this research included a checklist of student’s worksheets, interview sheets, content validity for student worksheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire entrepreneurship interests. The development process involved validity testing by nine experts, readability testing by 15 students, and field trials by one biology teacher and 36 students. The results showed that the E-LKPD had a very high validity and readability. Teachers and students gave positive feedback during the field trials, and the entrepreneurial interest of students increased significantly, moving from a high to a very high category after using E-LKPD. It indicates that the electronic worksheets are valid and practical for enhancing entrepreneurial interest within biology, particularly in environmental awareness and sustainability. E-LKPD based on ecopreneurship also successfully integrates Islamic values, such as responsibility and concern for the environment. In this way, students not only get academic knowledge, but also entrepreneurial skills.

Abstract

The widespread adoption of technological advancements today has brought changes to many aspects of society, including education. The Ministry of Education and Culture has sought to adjust teaching strategies to accommodate new technological advancements, such as internet usage. SMP NU Sunan Giri Kepanjen, which has implemented digital learning, follows these guidelines. This policy is developed with consideration for the latest technological advancements in the field of education, particularly in Islamic Religious Education. This study aims to assess the level of digitization in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMP NU Sunan Giri Kepanjen; to examine student learning motivation in PAI classes at SMP NU Sunan Giri Kepanjen; and to identify the factors that facilitate or hinder the digitization of Islamic Religious Education learning at SMP NU Sunan Giri Kepanjen. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through documentation, in-depth interviews, and observation. The research found that digitization in Islamic Religious Education learning can enhance students' motivation to learn. The digital tools used include educational videos and presentations using digital devices.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of a visual communication design workshop involving collaboration between teachers and students in Metro City, focusing on enhancing students' technical skills, creativity, and collaborative abilities. The workshop, organized by the Metro Arts Council, involved 10 junior high school teachers, 10 senior high school students, and 10 junior high school students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to the workshop participants. The main findings of this study indicate that the collaborative workshop effectively improved students' technical skills in using graphic design software and deepened their understanding of design principles. 85% of students reported feeling more proficient in using design tools, and 78% reported an increase in creativity after attending the workshop. Additionally, 90% of students felt an improvement in their collaborative skills when working in teams. This study also shows that a collaborative learning approach not only enriches students' technical skills but also stimulates their creativity and innovation, as well as enhances their ability to work in groups. Based on these findings, it is recommended to integrate visual communication design workshops into school curricula and provide training for teachers to support more effective collaborative learning.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan lingkungan bisnis mengahruskan para pelaku UMKM untuk terus beradaptasi, agar tetap menjaga keberlanjutan usahanya. Kondisi pelaku usaha yang kemasan produk dan pemasaran yang menggunakan metode tradisional, sehingga mempengaruhi tingkat penjualan UMKM tersebut. Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan memiliki tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evalausi. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada para pelaku usaha untuk membuat inovasi dalam kemasan, dan memanfaatkan e-commerce sebagai pemasaran produk, dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan penjualan para pelaku UMKM telor asin di Desa Bendung-Kasemen Kota Serang.

Abstract

Abstract:The existence of Indonesia as an independent nation is intricately linked to the vital role of journalism worldwide. However, Indonesian journalism currently faces serious challenges, triggering polarization and societal divisions. To address these issues, a new paradigm of patriotic journalism emerges as a proposed solution. This research critically aims to understand the concept of patriotic journalism, focusing on the Indonesian journalistic context. Critical review methodology is employed to provide initial insights into the patriotic journalism paradigm. Findings indicate that patriotic journalism encounters challenges in objectivity, identity conflicts, reporting perspectives, and consistency in goals and practices. Nonetheless, the study offers solutions such as justice implementation, transparency, adapting to core values, engaging in new media interactions, global journalism ethics, and aligning goals with more suitable practices. Although the goals of patriotic journalism align with Indonesia's journalism ecosystem, its advocated practices aren't always congruent. This paper proposes alternative ideas to enhance alignment between patriotic journalism and Indonesia's journalistic ecosystem. In conclusion, implementing patriotic journalism holds significant potential in addressing national issues, particularly concerning societal unity. Suggestions for future research include delving deeper into reporting deemed patriotic using methodologies like content analysis or phenomenology. Abstract

This study focuses on Student Attendance Monitoring Information Systems with WhatsApp Notifications using the Waterfall method. Is a system designed to assist teachers and parents in monitoring student attendance effectively and in real-time. This system will send notifications via the WhatsApp application every time there is a lesson. Because there is still cheating or errors on the part of both students and teachers who are wrong in marking student attendance and the use of conventional attendance systems that are inefficient in terms of managing and controlling student attendance data. The Waterfall method was chosen because it is in accordance with a structured and gradual system development process. This method involves stages such as planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. In the planning stage will determine the needs and specifications of the system. The analysis phase will evaluate requirements and specifications to ensure that the system meets user requirements. The design phase will determine how the system will look and function. The implementation phase will execute the design and build the actual system. The testing phase will ensure that the system functions properly and meets specifications. From the results of the research, a Student Absenteeism Monitoring Information System with WhatsApp Notifications was created using the Waterfall method which can assist teachers and parents in monitoring student attendance effectively and in real-time. This system will simplify communication and make more informed and accurate decisions. This system can help in increasing student attendance, helping teachers and parents to work together in minimizing student absence.

Abstract

Selengen Village is one of the villages in Kayangan District, North Lombok Regency which has abundant potential for plantation and agricultural products. One of the existing plantation products is cashew nuts. Abundant plantation products also result in high levels of plantation product waste which cannot be managed optimally by local communities. One effort that can be done is processing waste into organic fertilizer. For this reason, the PMD KKN team from Mataram University, Selengen Village, held a socialization regarding the manufacture of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) with the aim of utilizing plantation waste in the hamlet of Tangga, Selengen village. There were two methods used, namely socialization and direct practice involving the community members. farmers in the hamlet of Tangga Selengen Village. The activity was carried out on January 16 2024 in Tangga Hamlet, in collaboration with the North Lombok Regency Environment and Forestry Service (DLHK) as presenters and KKN students as demonstrators of the stages of making a LOF. From this activity, the output was obtained in the form of tools for making liquid organic fertilizer, namely stacked buckets and Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) products from cashew nuts. The resulting LOF can be utilized and applied by spraying it on plant leaves. After the entire series of events had been carried out, the event was closed by the presenter and ended with a group photo and distribution of POC products by KKN students to the participants. Socialization and education regarding the management of plantation waste into products must continue to be carried out. This is to increase community knowledge and habit in managing existing waste, as well as increase community consistency in protecting the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of news consumption on citizen engagement through political communication mediation, using a quantitative approach and explanatory design. The main variables studied include news consumption (KBE), political communication (consisting of political issue concern/KIP and frequency of political communication/FKP), and citizen engagement as measured by citizen self-confidence (KDW), future involvement interest (MKM), and actions to promote important issues (MIP). Data were collected through an online survey involving 103 students in Bandung City. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) to evaluate direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results of the study showed that news consumption had a positive and significant effect on political issue concern (β = 0.460, p < 0.001) and frequency of political communication (β = 0.212, p = 0.007). Furthermore, political communication proved to be a significant mediator in bridging the influence of news consumption on citizen involvement. FKP had a positive effect on KDW (β = 0.382, p < 0.001) and MIP (β = 0.308, p < 0.001), while KDW was an important predictor for MKM (β = 0.522, p < 0.001) and MIP (β = 0.199, p = 0.007). Various indirect effect pathways also showed statistical significance, confirming the important role of political communication as a mediating mechanism. These findings underscore the importance of media literacy in increasing student political participation in the digital era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh penerapan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) dan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di SMPN 5 Pekanbaru. Dengan mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dan budaya dalam proses pembelajaran, diharapkan terdapat peningkatan dalam keaktifan siswa sehingga nantinya akan berdampak pula pada peningkatan pemahaman dan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kuantitaif yang dilihat dari dua siklus yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Populasi dan sampel penelitian terdiri dari 32 siswa kelas VIII 6. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara pendekatan CRT terhadap keaktifan siswa. Hasil ini terlihat dari analisis data pada variabel X dan Y yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa telah melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CRT oleh guru dan menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan terhadap keaktifan mereka dalam pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan CRT. Hasil uji F juga menunjukkan adanya pengaruh antar pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CRT terhadap keaktifan siswa dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.041<0,050 yang bermakna adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antar variabel dan nilai Fhitung sebesar 4.537 > dari nilai Ftabel sebesar 4.149.

Abstract

Desa Pangan Jaya merupakan salah satu desa di wilayah Kecamatan Lainea Kabupaten Konawe Selatan Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara yang terdiri dari pemukiman, persawahan dan perkebunan. Desa Pangan Jaya dihuni oleh 304 kepala keluarga dengan jumlah 1074 jiwa terdiri dari laki-laki 539 jiwa dan perempuan 535 jiwa. Desa Pangan Jaya memiliki luas wilayah 284 Ha. Masih ada Sebagian masyarakat desa Pangan Jaya yang tidak memiliki sarana sanitasi seperti Sarana Pembuangan Air Limbah, jamban keluarga dan Tempat Penampungan Sampah serta lingkungan desa yang masih kotor. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi, pemahaman dan persuasive kepada masyarakat desa Pangan Jaya agar senantiasa menjaga Kesehatan dan sanitasi lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah melalui pemberian edukasi dan demonstrasi langsung kepada masyarakat. Alat dan Bahan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu leaflet, spanduk, proyektor (LCD) dan peralatan lainnya yan dibutuhkan. Penyuluhan Kesehatan dan sanitasi lingkungan yang dilakukan akan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan inisiatif masyarakat dalam menjaga dan meningkatkan derajat Kesehatan masyarakat. Kagiatan yang dilakukan yaitu penyuluhan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat, Pencegahan Stunting, pengenalan dan penanaman tanaman obat, pembuatan tempat sampah dan pemeriksaan tekanan darah dan kolesterol. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan inisiatif masyarakat desa Pangan Jaya Kecaatan Lainea Kabupaten Konawe Selatan tentang pentingnya menjaga Kesehatan dan sanitasi lingkungan.
