Abstract

This study aims to improve students' social skills and learning outcomes through the case method model with a cooperative learning approach. Students ' social skills are still low, considering the indicators of group work, group presentations, discussions, and opinions that have an impact on learning outcomes. Student learning outcomes also include affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains. This study uses a class action research method with three cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation of actions, observation, analysis, and reflection. This research was carried out in Class A with a total of 32 students who are in the class of 2022 History Education Study Program, PIPS Department, FKIP, University of Jambi. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and literature analysis. The results showed that the application of CSE method model with a cooperative learning approach can improve students ' social skills. The percentage of social skills in the first cycle was 41.4. In the second cycle, social skills increased to 63.2, and in the third cycle, to 82.2. For the learning outcomes in the cycle, I got a score of 71.1. Cycle two increased by a value of 74.4, and cycle III got a score of 78.9. it can be concluded that the case method learning model with a cooperative learning approach to improve students' social skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang perkembangan kesenian Jatilan di Unit V Sungai Bahar Propinsi Jambi 1990-2020. Permasalahan yang di bahas  mengenai keberadaan kesenian jatilan  di Unit V sungai Bahar yang di tinjau dari sisi historis mulai dari sejarah kedatangan kesenian ini, perkembangannya, dinamika dan pergeseran yang terhadu, peran masyarakat transmigrasi dalam melestarikan dan mengembangkan kesenian ini serta dampak  yang ditimbulkan akibat modernisasi dan perkembagan teknologi.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode sejarah yang langkah-langkahnya terdiri dari Heuristik (pengumpulan sumber), kritik sumber, Interpretasi dan Historiografi. Kesenian jatilan adalah sebuah kesenian yang menyatukan antara unsur gerakan tari dengan unsur magis yang dimainkan dengan mengunakan properti berupa kuda tiruan yang dibuat dari anyaman bambu yang di kepang. Kesenian Jatilan yang terdapat di unit V Sungai Bahar Propinsi Jambi dibawa oleh masyarakat transmigrasi yang berasal dari pulau jawa. Kesenian ini sampai sekarang masih memiliki eksistensi walaupun mengalami berbagai perubahan. Kesenian Jatilan dikenal dengan unsur-unsur kesakralan dan nilai-nilai budaya yang melekat didalam setiap gerakannya, sehingga menjadikan kesenian ini unik dan harus dilestariakan. Kesenian Jatilan ini sangat di gemari hamper setiap acara besar kesenian ini dipakai sebagai sarana hiburan masyarakat. Dampak dari kesenian jatilan ini bagi kesenian lain dibuktikan dengan bergabungnya kesenian gedrug. Dampak sosial ekonomi kesenian jatilan ini menambah pendapatan anak-anak muda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kreatif dan kritis mahasiswa  kelas B prodi Pendidikan Sejarah. Model Project Based Learning ini di pilih sebagai solusi yang ditemukan peneliti di lapangan tentang masih rendahnya kemampuan berfikir kretif dan kritisnya mahasiswa di lihat dari pembuatan tugas makalah dan tampilah power point presentasi mereka, cara mengajukan dan menjawab pertanyaan di mata kuliah pancasila. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, Implementasi Tindakan, Observasi dan Analisis dan Refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara studi dokumentas dan studi literature. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa  pemanfaatan Model Project Based Learning Berbasis Infografis pada Mata Kuliah Pancasila dapat  Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berfikir Kreatif dan Kritis Mahasiswa. Presentase siswa dengan kemampuan berfikir kreatif pada siklus I adalah 37,5. Pada siklus II presentasenya naik menjadi 56,8 dan pada siklus III mengalami peningkatan presentase menjadi 91,1. Sedangkan untuk kemampuan berfikir kritis mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I presentase di peroleh adalah 36,0. Pada siklus II presentase diperoleh 59,8 dan pada siklus tiga mengalami kenaikan menjadi 80,4.

Abstract

This research explores the educational values embedded in the local wisdom of Lubuk Larangan in Rantau Pandan Village, Bungo District. To achieve this goal, the method used is qualitative research with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and data validity was maintained through data source triangulation. The results of this research reveal that the local wisdom of Lubuk Larangan encompasses several valuable educational values. First, there are moral and ethical education values that promote awareness of good and proper behavior. Second, social education values help strengthen interpersonal relationships in the community and promote cooperation. Third, religious education values inspire spiritual and moral beliefs among the local population. Lubuk Larangan serves as an important public space for education for the people of Rantau Pandan. Through the introduction and understanding of these values, the community can preserve and pass on their cultural heritage while enhancing their understanding of ethics, morals, and deep-seated social and religious values. The results of this research make a significant contribution to appreciating and utilizing local cultural richness as a source of valuable educational values.

Abstract

The low reading literacy of history students has an impact on the low level of Higher Order Thinking Skills they have, especially in the scientific field. Therefore, an innovation is needed in learning history by digitizing learning resources through e-modules based on case method. This research aims to produce case method-based e-modules in improving students' higher order thinking skills and determine the feasibility of the developed e-modules. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research using the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of analyze, design, develop, implementation, and evaluation. The developed e-module was validated by a team of media experts and material experts. The results obtained are that the e-module is suitable for large group tests and small group tests. The small group test got a percentage of 85% and the large group test got a percentage of 77%. Based on these results, it shows that this case method-based e-module is very feasible to be used as a learning resource for students in the history of the entry of Hindu-Buddhist religions into Indonesia in terms of design, content, videos, case studies and practice questions in the e-module and this e-module is effectively used as a learning resource after the T test.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakang oleh degradasi moral terjadi pada pesert didik sehingga di butuhkan pendidikan karakter religius. Pendidikan karakter religius bisa di setiap mata pelajaran di skeolah salah satunya mata pelajaran sejarah melalui tokoh perjuang kemerdekaan Indonesia yaitu Agus Salim. menggali nilai karakter religius yang dimiliki oleh Agus Salim agar bisa diterpakan dalam pembelajaran sejarah di SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi Pustaka. Teknik keabsahan data yang digunakan yaitu triagulasi sumber dengan tujuan data terkumpul valid dan objektif. Teknik analisis data dipakai yaitu analisis induksi yang berangkat dari fakta kemudian di Tarik kesimpulan tentang karakter religius agus salim. Karakter religius agus salam yang ditemukan yaitu patuh dan taat dalam melaksanakan perintah agama, toleransi, teguh pendirian dna cinta damai. Karakter religius agus salim ini bisa di terapkan dalam pembelajaran sejarah melalui RPP, modul pembelajaran, dan video pembelajaran sejarah.

raining in making digital modules as learning aids has become a necessity for educators to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process in the classroom. the purpose of this service is to improve the quality of learning through the use of technology in the preparation of innovative and interactive teaching materials in the form of e-modules. the method used is the first, determining the location of the activity. Second, determining target partners, third, types of activities. Fourth, the activity stage is divided into the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the reflection stage. the results obtained in this training are teachers at SMAN 6 Batanghari who participated in this training totaling 26 people. This teacher knows, recognizes and understands the Flipbuilder application and is proficient in making e-modules using this application so that they can be used as teaching materials for students. The conclusion of this service is that this training is very useful for teachers and students in the form of e-module products.ABSTRAKPelatihan pembuatan modul digital sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran telah menjadi kebutuhan bagi tenaga pendidik untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi proses pembelajaran di kelas. tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui pemanfaatan teknologi dalam penyusunan materi ajar yang inovatif dan interaktif dalam bentuk e-modul. metode yang digunakan adalah yang pertama, penentuan lokasi kegiatan. Kedua, menentukan mitra sasaran, ketiga, Jenis Kegiatan. Keempat, tahap kegiatan yang dibagi kedalam tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap refleksi. hasil yang didapat dalam pelatihan ini adalah guru-guru di SMAN 6 Batanghari yang ikut dalam pelatihan ini berjumlah 26 orang. Guru ini mengetahui, mengenal dan memahami aplikasi Flipbuilder serta mahir dalam pembuatan e-modul menggunakan aplikasi ini sehingga bisa di jadikan bahan ajar untuk siswa. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini bahwa pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi guru dan siswa dalam bentuk produknya e-modul.

Abstract

Learning about traditions is of course important so as not to lose existing culture and to be able to maintain and introduce wider traditions. This research aims to examine the tradition of weighing the bride and groom in the marriage customs of the Sekernan Muaro Jambi community and its relevance in learning history. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Based on this research, it can be seen that the tradition of weighing the bride is a tradition passed down from generation to generation and is very closely related to the social life of the community and there are local wisdom values ​​in each implementation. Abstract

The writing of this community service article is the result of activities carried out to provide socialization and implementation of the application of digital literacy in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) in Nyogan Village. Community service activities for the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) community in RT 15, Nyogan Village, Mestong District, Muaro Jambi Regency. This activity is carried out as an effort to introduce Digital Literacy skills and is expected to provide awareness that the Suku Anak Dalam community in Nyogan Village are able to contribute to the success of digital transformation and eliminate negative stigma among the general public. The method used by the Jambi University PKM-PM Team is community service with ice breaking to build the enthusiasm of the participants then provide socialization and assistance to achieve the goals of implementing community service. The results obtained from this activity are that the development of digital literacy will increase the potential of the Nyogan village community to continue to increase both from SDM and SDA.Keywords: industrial revolution, digital literacy, Suku Anak Dalam, nyogan village

Abstract

The tradition of proposing in Jambi Malay wedding customs is an important aspect that reflects social, religious, and cultural norms passed down through generations. In Jambi Malay culture, proposing is not only the initial process leading to marriage but also solidifies relationships between families and the community. This study aims to explain the origins of the proposing tradition, its processes, and the meaning of each stage. The historical research methods used include heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of the study show that the proposing tradition in Jambi Malay wedding customs includes various official processes with profound meanings. Based on interviews with traditional leaders, community members, and literature analysis, it was found that this tradition is regulated according to Islamic teachings, as expressed in the Jambi Malay proverb "Adat menurun, Syarat mendaki, Adat bersendi syarak, Syarak bersendikan kitabullah." This emphasizes that customary rules and Islamic law go hand in hand, with religious prohibitions also being customary prohibitions.
