Abstract

The threat of extinction of regional languages in Indonesia is increasingly evident, Balinese is one of the regional languages experiencing this threat, the massive use of Indonesian and other languages is alleged to be the cause. This article discusses the maintenance of Balinese language in the Regency of West Lombok, an island next to Bali, where the Balinese language is spoken by a minority of people. Data were collected from primary and secondary sources including by speaking and listening (cakap dan simak) techniques. Data were analyzed by using qualitative methods and presented by narrative methods. The results of the study show that the Balinese language in West Lombok Regency is surviving, this is seen from various aspects, namely, Balinese ethnic children master and use the Balinese language well, the massive use of Balinese in various areas of life, and concrete steps taken to make efforts to maintain the language to the fullest.

Abstract

Krisis ekologi global yang ditandai oleh perubahan iklim, pencemaran, dan degradasi lingkungan telah menjadi ancaman nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup manusia dan makhluk hidup lainnya. Artikel ini mengangkat persoalan tersebut dari perspektif fiqh Islam dengan pendekatan maqasid al-syari’ah untuk merumuskan paradigma ekologis yang relevan, kontekstual, dan aplikatif. Dalam kerangka ini, pelestarian lingkungan tidak sekadar isu teknis atau ekologis semata, melainkan persoalan teologis dan etis yang berkaitan erat dengan tujuan utama syariat: menjaga kehidupan, akal, keturunan, harta, dan agama. Pendekatan ini juga menempatkan peran manusia sebagai khalifatullah fi al-ardh yang memikul amanah untuk menjaga harmoni semesta sebagai wujud aktualisasi dari tauhid dan kesalehan sosial. Tulisan ini mengkaji tiga dimensi utama: teologis, filosofis, dan praktis. Dimensi teologis menjelaskan dasar-dasar normatif Islam mengenai tanggung jawab ekologis manusia. Dimensi filosofis menelaah pandangan para pemikir Islam seperti Ibnu Arabi dan Seyyed Hossein Nasr, serta dialog dengan filsafat lingkungan Timur-Barat seperti Konfusianisme dan gagasan ekosentrisme Fritjof Capra. Dimensi praktis berfokus pada artikulasi fiqh lingkungan berbasis maqasid yang mampu merespons kerusakan ekologis secara sistemik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi pustaka terhadap literatur klasik dan kontemporer. Melalui integrasi nilai-nilai maqasid, artikel ini menawarkan landasan konseptual fiqh lingkungan yang adaptif terhadap konteks zaman dan relevan sebagai kontribusi Islam dalam wacana etika ekologis global. Dengan demikian, menjaga lingkungan merupakan bagian dari ibadah dan tanggung jawab spiritual yang bersifat kolektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This community service (abdimas) activity aims to introduce ways to find problems and alternative learning solutions in an appropriate and innovative manner that is in accordance with the empirical learning problems faced by elementary school (SD) teachers in North Lombok Regency (KLU). This is based on the fact that the majority of teachers who take part in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) at Mataram University (Unram) have not been able to find real learning problems. In fact, these teachers have not been able to differentiate the type of problem that arises, whether it is part of the task that must be solved or the task of another party. Methodologically, each stage of the activity carried out to overcome this problem is coordination, communication, presentation and discussion. The results of activities with 30 KLU elementary school teachers as participants in the socialization show what was implied. In relation to this, the Abdimas Team put forward a learning problem discovery strategy carried out in stages: reflection, determining the type of problem, and problem analysis. The strategy for determining alternative solutions has stages: reflecting on causal factors, asking colleagues, asking educational experts, and searching the literature. Each stage can be carried out in stages and in stages that are systemic in nature.
