Abstract

Numerous studies have examined ecological ethics from an Islamic perspective; however, Ali Jum‘ah’s thought, particularly his contributions to an epistemological and spiritual framework of ecology, has not yet received sufficient critical attention in the academic literature. This research examines the ecological thought of Sheikh Ali Jum‘ah through content analysis of his book al-Bi’ah wa al-Ḥifẓ ‘Alayhā min Manẓūr al-Islāmī. The research argues that Ali Jum‘ah positions mahabbah (love) as the highest ethical form of the human–environment relationship, articulated through tajallī (divine manifestation in creation) and jamāliyyah (beauty as contemplative access). These concepts frame nature as a reflection of the asmā’ Allāh and foster an affective bond between humans and the cosmos. This research contributes by conceptualizing mahabbah as a substantive ecological ethic and by identifying a shift from a normative fiqh-oriented approach toward a Sufi-based framework of cosmic ethics as a foundation for ecological sustainability in Islam. الملخص تناولت دراساتٌ عديدة الأخلاقيات البيئية من منظور إسلامي، غير أنّ فكر علي جمعة—ولا سيما إسهاماته في بناء إطار بيئي ذي طابع معرفي وروحي—لم يحظَ بعدُ باهتمام نقدي كافٍ في الأدبيات الأكاديمية. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل التصور البيئي للشيخ علي جمعة من خلال تحليل المحتوى لكتابه البيئة وحفظها من منظور إسلامي. وتُبيّن الدراسة أنّ علي جمعة يُؤسِّس علاقة الإنسان بالبيئة على مفهوم المحبّة بوصفها أعلى قيمة أخلاقية، وذلك من خلال مفهومي التجلّي والجماليّة بوصفهما مدخلين للتأمّل. وتُقدَّم الطبيعة في هذا الإطار باعتبارها مرآةً لأسماء الله الحسنى، بما يُنشئ رابطةً وجدانية وروحية بين الإنسان والكون. وتسهم هذه المقالة في بلورة مفهوم المحبّة بوصفه أخلاقًا بيئيةً جوهرية، وفي الكشف عن تحوّلٍ إبستمولوجي من مقاربة فقهية معيارية إلى إطار صوفي قيمي يقوم على أخلاقيات كونية تُشكّل أساسًا للاستدامة البيئية في الفكر الإسلامي. Abstrak Berbagai studi telah mengkaji etika ekologis dari perspektif Islam; namun pemikiran Ali Jum‘ah, khususnya kontribusinya dalam membangun kerangka ekologi yang bersifat epistemologis dan spiritual belum memperoleh perhatian kritis yang memadai dalam literatur akademik. Penelitian ini mengkaji pemikiran ekologis Syekh Ali Jum‘ah melalui analisis isi terhadap karyanya al-Bi’ah wa al-Ḥifẓ ‘Alayhā min Manẓūr al-Islāmī. Penelitian ini berargumen bahwa Ali Jum‘ah menempatkan mahabbah (cinta) sebagai bentuk etika tertinggi dalam relasi manusia–lingkungan, yang dirumuskan melalui konsep tajallī (manifestasi ilahi dalam ciptaan) dan jamāliyyah (keindahan sebagai jalan kontemplasi). Kedua konsep ini memandang alam sebagai refleksi dari asmā’ Allah serta menumbuhkan ikatan afektif antara manusia dan kosmos. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dengan mengonsepsikan mahabbah sebagai etika ekologis yang substantif serta mengidentifikasi pergeseran dari pendekatan normatif-legalistik (fiqh) menuju kerangka etika kosmik berbasis tasawuf sebagai landasan keberlanjutan ekologis dalam Islam.

Abstract

Dakwah kontemporer di media sosial mengalami tekanan algoritma, viralitas, dan fragmentasi pesan yang berpotensi menggeser substansi nilai Qurani menuju sensasionalisme dan simplifikasi. Penelitian ini menganalisis wacana tafsir Alquran dalam merespons fenomena tersebut menggunakan metode kualitatif berbasis kritik wacana dan analisis teks tafsir klasik-kontemporer. Penelitian mengidentifikasi paradoks epistemologis antara prinsip hikmah, mauizhah hasanah, dan mujadalah billati hiya ahsan dalam QS An-Nahl: 125 dengan praktik dakwah digital yang cenderung mengutamakan metrik keterlibatan daripada transformasi spiritual. Studi ini mengembangkan kerangka hermeneutis kritis untuk mengungkap kesenjangan antara idealitas normatif dakwah Qurani dan realitas performativitasnya di media sosial. Temuan menunjukkan urgensi revitalisasi epistemologi tafsir kontemporer, dengan implikasi edukatif bagi pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan epistemologi dakwah di lembaga-lembaga pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

This study examines Masdar Farid Mas’udi’s concept of transformative exegesis, particularly his reconstruction of zakat as a social justice instrument that can be integrated into the national taxation system. Employing a contextual and maqâṣid al-sharî‘ah-based approach, Masdar challenges the ritualistic view of zakat and proposes its reinterpretation as a structural mechanism for equitable wealth distribution. This study uses a qualitative method through literature review, analyzing Masdar’s works and relevant scholarly sources. The findings suggest that a transformative understanding of zakat provides a promising path for renewing Islamic legal thought in ways that uphold the core values of the sharia while remaining responsive to contemporary socio-economic realities. Masdar’s framework offers a constructive bridge between religious texts and public policy grounded in social justice

Abstract

Sharia law found in the Qur'an still requires interpretation and has the potential to evolve. Abdullahi Ahmed An-Na'im answers the gap between sharia and issues of modernity. The deconstruction of sharia is used in the problem of Islamic law with current issues using an analytical knife in the form of Mahmud Thaha's theory of legal evolution, the theory of nasikh mansukh, Makiyyah and Madaniyyah, the meaning of gender texts and the concept of sharia on human rights. All Muslims in the world have the right to apply Islamic law as long as it does not violate the rights of other people, other groups or other religions

Abstract

This papper is an attempt to integrate the method of interpreting the Al-Qur'an developed by Nasr Hâmid Abû Zaid, namely the theory of takwil al-Qur'an. This study found that the takwil theory that constructed by Nasr Hâmid Abû Zaid emphasizes the importance of paying attention to the role of the author of the text, interpreter and context, as a theory for interpreting the Qur'an. Once applied, this theory can provide an interpretation that can reveal the side of justice in the concept of distribution of inheritance in the study of Islamic law. The approach used in this study is a hermeneutic approach in order to understand the interpretation of religious texts which are considered relevant to the concept of distribution of inheritance in the study of Islam law

Abstract

Architecture is a building art that is universal. A design architecture is part of science, art culture and civilization that cannot independent and free, instead it is influenced by yhe ideology, politics, economy ang culter of society which influence the final product of an arsitectural design. The monotheistic aesthetic in the framework of Islamic architecture describes the conceptual relationship between God, humans and nature which is a combination that cannot be separated from one another. Where Allah SWT created humans by giving them ability to reason so that they have the power to think to form a divine concept in translating the sentences of the Al-Qur’an into architectural masterpieces in the world. So that an architect can convery his spiritual messages in an architectural medium. This writing methode using Library Research with approach deskriptif kualitatif, where writing data comes from a variety of literature both in the form of text studies an relevant books. This paper attempts to describe the aesthetics of monotheism in Islamic architecture which can convery the spiritual values of an architectural work so that reflects the reality of harmony of an aesthetic of creation and science
