Abstract

This research aims to produce learning activities that can help students understand the concept of probability material using the PMRI approach through Prabumulih City market snacks. This research was conducted at SMAN 6 Prabumulih, class 12. The      research method used was design research with validation research type (preparation stage and pilot experiment). The instruments used in this research were observation,   documentation, interviews and tests. This research produces student learning estimates (HLT) in the form of student learning trajectories in probability material. The researcher tested the sequence of activities and conjectures of students' thinking that had been designed at the preparation stage on 8 students and compared the results obtained. This testing was carried out at the design experiment stage, namely a pilot experiment to    produce learning trajectories in the form of appropriate learning activities on probability material, the subject of enumeration rules. The results of data analysis conclude that the resulting learning activities can be seen as an alternative method for teachers to help   students learn the concept of opportunity. The context of market snacks that researchers use are relevant to probability material and improve the reasoning ability of students

Abstract

A learning process is said to be good if learning is student-centered. Students perform activities in the learning process by using context as a starting point in learning. Design Research with a cycle that contains components of knowledge (K), design (D), experiment (E), reflection (R) is an alternative to create student-centered learning and obtain information and findings in research. This research was conducted in one of the junior high schools in Palembang City with a sample of 23 students. Research procedures were carried out including observation data analysis, interviews and documentation analysis. The conclusion of this research is that the existing knowledge of students is used as a basis for designing learning activities so that when implementing experiments students are able to carry out activities that are related to the initial abilities of students so that the context appears to be a strating point in learning so that the findings that arise can be analyzed and become a reflection to carry out cycles. Then the effectiveness of learning goes according to design and produces a series of understanding of numbers and also the situation of "pulling" and "stretching" in the kite game can be converted into "positive and "negative" symbols

Abstract

Fractions are one of the materials that have an important role in mathematics learning both domestically and abroad. Therefore, several articles discussing fractions published in several journals can be found in several sources, both national and international. This article aims to provide an overview of learning fractions, especially in context, activities and learning outcomes based on relevant literature. Therefore, we are interested in conducting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of the 10 articles resulting from the Meta analysis (PRISMA) process. This research focuses on three aspects, namely: 1) Activities and contexts used in learning fraction material, 2) Learning outcomes related to the application of these activities and contexts and 3) Main findings in the research. Systematic literature review found that there were 10 contexts and activities implemented in learning fraction material. Apart from that, we also concluded that the holistic, interactive and contextual learning approach, namely PMRI, had a positive impact on students' understanding of fraction material. Providing meaningful and relevant experiences can increase student interest and build a strong foundation for further mathematical understanding. The results of this research can provide a summary of existing literature and literature to identify weaknesses or gaps for further investigation in future research related to the topic of fractions.

Abstract

The issue of climate change is a global problem that is very strategic to be overcome, because it has an impact on the environment. Low ability to understand and interpret climate change data presented statistically is associated with low statistical literacy skills. Statistical literacy is the critical ability to access, understand, interpret, and evaluate statistical information or messages in various contexts. This underlies researchers to design learning trajectories using the context of climate change to train the statistical literacy skills of prospective teacher students. The method used is the design of research type validations studies with the subject of prospective teacher students. This research produced HLT which is able to facilitate statistical literacy skills and successfully identify the level of statistical literacy ability of students who are at low and middle stages.

Abstract

A tourism route is a sequence of tourist attractions visited. Students are familiar with tour activities and often plan tourism routes to visit several tourist attractions. Students' experience and knowledge about tourism routes can be used as a context for teaching the rule of product. Therefore, this research aims to design a learning trajectory for the rule of product using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach in the Kerinci nature tourism route context. The research method used is design research with a validation study type, which consists of three stages: preparation and design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. The subjects involved in this research were 11 third-semester mathematics education students at a university in Jambi, Indonesia. The instruments include learning video recordings, student work results, field notes, and test sheets. The research results show that learning trajectories designed in the context of tourism routes can help students discover, understand, and use the rule of product in solving relevant mathematical problems. The learning tracjectory consists of four activities: making a list of Kerinci tourist attractions, determining the location of several tourist attractions on a sketch map, arranging tourist attractions in tourism routes, and solving problems regarding possible tourism routes. This research shows that the designed learning trajectory is vital in helping students discover and understand the rule of product and apply them to solving relevant problems.
