Abstract

This study was conducted to explore the existence of entrepreneurial learning patterns that can be used to develop students' business management skills through the implementation of the PATROT model after the COVID-19 pandemic. This effort was carried out through the implementation of the PATRIOT model with five online class facilities, an entrepreneurship laboratory, and field observations for the Undiksha Young Entrepreneur Association (YES) group. Field activities are based on the idea that increasing the ability to innovate creatively, the courage to face risks, and turning challenges into opportunities are the basic characteristics that shape the entrepreneurial behavior of college graduates. Learning activities are carried out by integrating activities in the Undikaha e-learning class (synchronous and asynchronous) and through SIPEJAR FE UM. This exploratory research was conducted in 5 classes of FE Undiksha Singaraja students, and 5 classes of partner students of FE UM offering 2020 who took the Entrepreneurship course. Data were obtained through document review and student questionnaires about the effectiveness of learning which were analyzed descriptively according to the characteristics of the information and content analysis according to the message content. The results of the study indicate that there are five components of learning activities that can be integrated or combined to develop the ability to take business actions. The five components are: online information search, learning interaction (synchronous vs asynchronous), job training (group vs independent), assessment (process vs outcome), and feedback and follow-up. The results of the study indicate that the ability to manage a business can be improved through a cooperative mechanism in group work, with the supervisor and project partners. The findings of this study should be continued by testing the effectiveness of learning patterns and scenarios for integrating online work activities, KWU laboratory assignments and business partnerships with practitioners.

Abstract

This study is to examine the impact of motivation, knowledge, and self-efficacy on entrepreneurial intents in graduates of Batanghari University's Faculty of Economics, Odd Semester, Academic Year 2023–2024. 130 students from Batanghari University's Faculty of Economics who had completed their final exams and planned to participate in graduation in the odd semester of the 2023–2024 academic year made up the study's population. A sample size of 98 was reached by using a 5% margin of error to the hypothesis devised by Slovin to calculate the size or number of samples in this research. Partial Least Square (PLS) data analysis and a quantitative approach using a survey method are used in this study. The findings of the study demonstrate that knowledge and self-efficacy, both directly and indirectly through motivation, have a favorable and significant impact on students' plans to start their own businesses, as does motivation itself. In spite of this, students still choose to hunt for employment after finishing their education rather than taking the risk of starting their own business because they are terrified of the hazards involved.

Abstract

This research explores the role of SMEs, both in individual and corporate forms, in enhancing community well-being, particularly in Malang City, Indonesia. The research method employed is a literature study. SMEs have shown strong economic resilience, as evidenced during the 1998 monetary crisis when they survived and even thrived. While many SMEs operate in the culinary sector in Malang City, the utilization of technology remains limited. The research findings indicate that SMEs make a significant contribution to GDP, employment generation, and unemployment reduction, supporting poverty alleviation efforts. Increased community income and purchasing power are also demonstrated through the role of SMEs. To maximize the contribution of SMEs, the government needs to provide support, training, and guidance, including in the utilization of technology, to ensure that the growth of SMEs continues to have a positive impact on community well-being and economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the influence of students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy and perceived attractiveness on their entrepreneurial intentions and investigates the moderating role of students’ learning orientation. It considers how learning orientation may moderate the instrumentality of their perceived attractiveness to become a successful entrepreneur. The data used to test the hypotheses were obtained through an online survey issued to undergraduate students in business currently studying at a public college in Indonesia. Data received from 325 respondents is used to investigate the hypothesized correlations using the partial least squares structural equation modeling technique (PLS-SEM). The results show that students’ entrepreneurial self-efficacy and perceived attractiveness affect entrepreneurial intentions. A supplementary examination reveals the moderating effects of learning orientation on the connection between perceived attractiveness and entrepreneurial inclination. Moreover, the impact of learning orientation on the perceived attractiveness and intention relationship suggests that policymakers should give priority to the consideration of learning orientation when developing their strategies.
