Abstract

Conflict is an inseparable part of human life, including in organizations within companies, which often arises in various conditions. Conflict, although it occurs very often, requires proper understanding and handling so as not to hamper company activities. Good conflict management can not only prevent negative impacts, but also open up opportunities for introspection and improving team performance. This research examines strategies for implementing conflict management in work teams, with a focus on how company organizational leaders play an important role in managing conflict effectively. The research results show that well-managed conflict can strengthen teamwork, increase productivity, and create a more harmonious work environment. On the other hand, conflicts that are not handled well can have a negative impact on the continuity of the company. Strategies such as open communication, mediation, and approaches to decision making are very effective in work team conflict management

Abstract

This research discusses the role of performance management in increasing company effectiveness at PT. X. In an era of increasingly tight business competition, company effectiveness is the main key to achieving long-term success. Performance management is a systematic process that aims to improve individual and team performance in an organization. The role of performance management is not only limited to measuring work results, but also includes developing a positive and results-oriented organizational culture. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a sample of 35 people from a total population of 55 PT employees. X. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and interviews. Through the use of effective performance management, companies are not only able to identify and overcome existing problems, but can also create new opportunities for growth. Thus, performance management becomes an integral component in a company's development strategy, which in turn can contribute significantly to business effectiveness and sustainability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pemasaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan daya tarik pelanggan usaha katering di tengah persaingan industri yang semakin ketat. Usaha katering menghadapi tantangan besar dalam mempertahankan keberlanjutan bisnis di era digital, di mana preferensi konsumen terus berubah dan persaingan semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada beberapa usaha katering di wilayah perkotaan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik usaha, serta observasi langsung terhadap kegiatan pemasaran yang dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pemasaran yang menggabungkan promosi digital, inovasi produk, manajemen hubungan pelanggan (CRM), dan strategi pemasaran dari mulut ke mulut atau word of mouth (WOM) secara signifikan berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan daya tarik pelanggan usaha katering. Promosi melalui media sosial dan word of mouth (WOM) terbukti efektif dalam menjangkau konsumen yang lebih luas, sementara inovasi produk, seperti menu sehat dan ramah lingkungan, menjadi daya tarik tambahan bagi konsumen. Selain itu, penerapan manajemen hubungan pelanggan (CRM) membantu meningkatkan loyalitas pelanggan dan memperluas jaringan pemasaran melalui word of mouth (WOM).Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kombinasi antara inovasi produk, strategi digital, dan hubungan pelanggan yang baik merupakan kunci untuk meningkatkan daya tarik pelanggan usaha katering. Penelitian ini adalah pentingnya adaptasi terhadap minat konsumen dalam merumuskan strategi pemasaran yang relevan dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Dalam Perusahaan nilai Perusahaan sangat penting, kualitas Perusahaan ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh nilai perusahaan. Salah satu yang harus dikelola adalah manajemen Risiko. Dalam bisnis yang berkembang dan di era saat ini, ketidakmungkinan dan ketidakpastian yang tinggi. Ketidakpastian / risiko ini dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan Perusahaan seperti aspek keuangan, operasional hingga reputasi perusahaan. Oleh karena itu suatu ketidakpastian ini harus dikelola sehingga muncullah manajemen risiko untuk mengelola Risiko. Hasil dari manajemen risiko ini dapat menavigasi atau menjadi acuan untuk pengambilan Keputusan. Pengambilan Keputusan yang didasari oleh data statistic yang bebat akan dapat membuat pengambilan Keputusan lebih efektif. Statistik tidak hanya berperan dalam menyajikan data historis Perusahaan tetapi juga dapat membuat proyeksi keadaan Perusahaan di masa pendatang sehingga data statistic dapat membantu Perusahaan untuk memitigasi risiko lebih efektif. Bentuk statistic ini sangat banyak, terkait risiko dapat melalui analisis regresi, distribusi probabilitas dan simulasi Monte Carlo. Melalui pendekatan tadi Perusahaan dapat mendapat insight terkait risiko yang ada diperusahaan dan dapat menghitung dampak potensial dari berbagai risiko sehingga Langkah mitigasi dapat lebih terukur karena Perusahaan mempunyai data yang akurat. Hal ini dapat bermanfaat bagi perusahan untuk memitigasi ketidakpastian dan mendukung strategi yang berkelanjutan Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan statistik dalam pengambilan keputusan memiliki peran penting dalam mengurangi dampak ketidakpastian dan meningkatkan akurasi keputusan manajemen. Dengan memanfaatkan data dan metode statistik secara optimal, perusahaan dapat membangun kerangka kerja mitigasi risiko yang lebih responsif dan berdaya tahan. Jurnal ini diharapkan memberikan panduan praktis bagi perusahaan dalam mengintegrasikan pendekatan statistik ke dalam proses manajemen risiko, sehingga memperkuat kemampuan perusahaan dalam menghadapi perubahan pasar dan mempertahankan daya saing di tengah dinamika bisnis yang cepat.

Abstract

The purpose of this journal research is to identify effective strategies for enhancing employee engagement among Generation Z to boost workplace productivity. In the era of Generation Z, who grew up in the digital age, they possess unique characteristics that can influence their work behavior and expectations towards the work environment. This study employs a quantitative method through surveys conducted with 200 Generation Z employees across various industries. The research findings indicate that factors such as work flexibility, recognition of contributions, and opportunities for personal development significantly affect their engagement levels. Strategies such as implementing technology that supports collaboration, continuous training programs, and an inclusive company culture have proven to enhance employee productivity. The implications of this research provide practical guidance for managers in designing more targeted engagement programs to improve the performance and loyalty of Generation Z employees.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to introduce Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and apply it to Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in English courses for students of the Public Health Study Program at STIK Bina Husada Palembang. The focus of this training is on the use of ICT in this case the Canva and Google Translate applications. The methods used include lectures, discussions and practices, with the ultimate goal that students can produce technology-based projects in the form of educational posters in English. The results of the study showed a significant increase in ICT skills, self-confidence, and the ability to communicate using English. Students also showed good collaboration in groups, and were better prepared to face the challenges of the world of work that increasingly utilizes technology and cross-cultural communication, especially in the public health sector. This Community Service activity concluded that the integration of ICT and English in project-based learning can strengthen student competencies and prepare them to contribute effectively to the completion of students' English projects.

Abstract

The Iran-Israel conflict in April 2024 attracted extensive global media coverage, with outlets like Al-Jazeera and BBC offering contrasting narratives. This study investigates their framing strategies using Semetko and Valkenburg's typology: conflict, human interest, economic consequences, morality, and responsibility frames. Galtung's peace and war journalism models provided an analytical lens to assess how these frames align with broader editorial biases and geopolitical contexts. Analyzing 34 articles, the research reveals Al-Jazeera's predominant use of the conflict frame (80%), emphasizing Iran's retaliation and regional tensions. This aligns with Galtung’s peace journalism, diagnosing systemic issues and contextualizing the conflict. Conversely, the BBC prioritized the responsibility frame (60%), heavily condemning Iran while dramatizing Israel's defense. This approach reflects war journalism, reinforcing divisions and Western-centric geopolitical narratives. The BBC's selective inclusion of human interest elements, such as civilian casualties, dramatized the narrative to evoke sympathy for Israel. Al-Jazeera's restrained use of such frames highlighted a commitment to balanced reporting but reduced emotional resonance. Neither outlet engaged with the morality or economic consequences frames, overlooking critical ethical and financial dimensions of the conflict. These findings underscore the role of editorial alignment and framing in shaping audience perceptions and policy discourses. Al-Jazeera’s approach encouraged critical engagement, fostering a nuanced understanding, while the BBC reinforced geopolitical alliances, narrowing the scope for reconciliation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial management on company performance in the banking sector. The main variables analyzed include the decision to invest, the decision on funding, and the dividend policy as independent variables, while financial performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA) as an independent variable. The data used are from the results of the annual financial reports of companies in banking listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020-2023. The results of this study indicate that investment decisions and dividend policies have a significant positive effect on the company's financial performance, while funding decisions do not have a significant effect. This study conducts an in-depth analysis of the influence of leverage, profitability and company size on earnings management in 10 banking companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2011-2013. The results of the study show that only company size has a significant negative effect on earnings management, while leverage and profitability do not have a significant effect. This study concludes that large companies have better financial management capabilities, so they tend to do less earnings management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of organizational culture on employee performance in various companies. Organizational culture, which includes values, procedures, and norms adopted by members of the organization, has a crucial role in achieving company goals. The methodology used is a quantitative approach with data collection through surveys distributed to employees. The results of the analysis show that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated t value that is greater than the t table, indicating a strong correlation between the two variables. Characteristics of a good organizational culture, such as innovation, respect for individuals, and an orientation that will occur, have been shown to increase employee productivity and job satisfaction. This study concludes that companies need to develop and manage a positive organizational culture to improve employee performance holistically.

Abstract

This research examines an interesting phenomenon in the tourism industry: the perception and memory of tourists and the often misunderstood role of documentation. Although some consider documentation to be less influential and insignificant, this study reveals that for tourism players, the role of documentation is actually very crucial. In the competitive dynamics of the tourism industry, documentation is a vital element in marketing and client acquisition strategies. Travel agencies utilize high-quality documentation as a persuasive tool in their presentations, creating a compelling visual narrative and building trust with potential clients. Documentation is actually a separate service from the travel agency itself, with documentation service providers operating under a standard operating procedure (SOP). This research highlights the complexity of the relationship between documentation, traveler perception, and tourism business dynamics, opening new insights into the importance of visual representation in this highly competitive industry.
