Abstract

21st-century education should be implemented by emphasizing the development of student competencies that are relevant to the demands of the times, rather than merely focusing on the mastery of factual knowledge. However, students often find it difficult to understand the material, which hinders the development of their critical thinking skills. In addition, existing learning resources tend to emphasize memorization, making them less engaging. Students show greater interest in learning through interactive digital media and materials connected to real-life contexts. This study aims to develop and test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of CTL-based interactive multimedia learning to improve the critical thinking skills of 10th grade students in high school. The multimedia, named SIBIJAK (Interactive Learning System for Internet and Computer Networks), was designed using the AM3PU3 model. The validity of the multimedia was measured using instruments based on LORI version 2.0, its practicality was assessed with the UEQ instrument, and its effectiveness was evaluated using a critical thinking test instrument. The results indicate that the multimedia is highly valid, practical with an excellent rating in every aspect, and effective in improving student learning outcomes. The effectiveness test produced an N-Gain score of 0.68 (medium category), with a classical mastery percentage of 84.38% (very good). These findings support the conclusion that CTL-based interactive multimedia can significantly enhance critical thinking skills. The implication of this study is the enrichment of learning media diversity, and most importantly, the development of multimedia that supports students’ 21st-century learning skills.

Abstract

This review synthesizes current literature on Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (the Indonesian higher education) philosophy that encompasses education, research, and community service, as a foundational ethical framework to promote moral literacy and an ethical mindset among learners and citizens. Rooted in the nation’s post-independence vision, Tri Dharma is not merely an academic mandate but a holistic moral philosophy that informs intellectual development, civic responsibility, and community well-being. By drawing on policy documents, ethnographic fieldwork, empirical educational studies, and national reform initiatives, this paper examines the ways in which Tri Dharma has been operationalized across diverse institutional and community contexts. The findings reveal that Tri Dharma fosters a values-driven education model that integrates compassion, critical thinking, and social justice into both formal instruction and public engagement. It bridges traditional Indonesian virtues, such as gotong-royong (mutual cooperation), bhineka tunggal ika (unity in diversity), and cinta tanah air (love for the homeland), with contemporary societal challenges like environmental degradation, digital ethics, and national fragmentation. By highlighting transformative programs such as Gerakan Literasi Nasional, Kartu Prakerja, and ecological initiatives grounded in local wisdom, this review underscores the ongoing relevance of Tri Dharma in cultivating ethical, reflective, and civically engaged citizens in an increasingly globalized and complex world.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of PjBFL in improving 21st-century skills and identify interactive media that support its implementation through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The literature analyzed came from accredited journals indexed in the Scopus and Google Scholar databases, with a publication range of 2020–2024. The search keywords included "Project-Based Flipped Learning", "PjBFL", "flipped classroom", and "project-based learning". All articles found were selected using inclusion and exclusion criteria based on topic focus and full-text availability. The data selection and analysis process was carried out based on the PRISMA guidelines (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) which includes the stages of identification, screening, feasibility assessment, and reporting. The results of the analysis of 20 journals showed that PjBFL is effective in improving critical thinking skills, collaboration, creativity, problem solving, and learning motivation, especially at the higher education level. The interactive media that are predominantly used include Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning videos, e-modules, and digital communication applications. However, challenges such as low student engagement, student digital literacy and teacher readiness in producing digital content are still obstacles to implementation. Therefore, it is necessary to train educators, provide adequate digital infrastructure, and adapt content that is appropriate to the level of education and learning styles of students. This finding underlines the great potential of PjBFL in improving the effectiveness of learning in the digital era.

Abstract

The present research aimed to reveal whether an augmented reality (AR) direction method would result in more rapid job accomplishment times, reduce mental workload, and have limited faults for simple duties in operational programming. This paper proposes a marker-based mobile AR application called SIPEMA-AR to improve the sustainable, innovative training module to provide interactive content in the form of work instructions for the water meter reading process in the context of a regional water company of workers’ training. Previous research on technical work which directly compared AR directions to conventional direction methods (e.g., paper) appeared which AR directions can increase technical work. However, this needed to be more accurate for modest duties in an operational setting. Applicants fulfilled modest technical tasks on the SIPEMA-AR application utilizing AR and paper command methods. The research results indicate that AR instruction has a significant influence on the time needed to do the task could be categorized as fast and the mental of workload could be categorized as low. Using AR instructions before paper instructions provides training that sustainably builds on paper instructions. The SIPEMA-AR application can be used as a support for modest tasks that focus on operational work. The SIPEMA-AR application can avoid problems that occur in operational work. This is because the time, effort, and funds needed in operational work can be minimized and provide maximum results.
