Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar permasalahan yang ditemukan yaitu rendahnya kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Untuk mengetahui gambaran penerapan pendekatan whole language terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa dengan mengunakan media kartu kata kelas II di SD Inpres Balang-Balang, (2) Untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas II di SD Inpres Balang-Balang, (3) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan whole language dan siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan metode sederhana. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan bentuk quasi eksperimental design. Desain penelitian menggunakan Pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Prosedur pengumpulan data yaitu pretest, pemberian perlakuan, dan postest kemudian dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan bantuan program IMB SPSS statistics version. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan penerapan pendekatan whole language dengan menggunakan media kartu kata berjalan dengan sangat baik. menunjukkan penerapan pendekatan whole language dengan menggunakan media kartu kata berjalan dengan sangat baik. Hasil analisis inferensial menggunakan Independent Sampel t-Tes diperoleh nilai t hitung =2.251 > t tabel 1.67793 dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 sehingga hipotesis Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh signifikan penerapan pendekatan whole language dengan media kartu kata terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas II SD Inpres Balang-Balang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low cognitive learning outcomes of IPAS among third-grade students at Panaikang State Elementary School, Gowa Regency. This study aims to improve these learning outcomes through the application of the Make a Match model assisted by Flashcard media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 30 people. Data collection techniques used were observation, testing, and documentation, while the data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. In cycle I, the results of observations on the learning process were in the Sufficient (C) category and the results of the cognitive learning test were in the Sufficient (C) category. Meanwhile, in cycle II, the results of observations on the learning process improved to the Good (B) category and the results of the cognitive learning test also reached the Good (B) category. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the Make a Match model assisted by Flashcard media can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of IPAS among third-grade students at Panaikang State Elementary School, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimotivasi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di kalangan siswa kelas lima di SDN 15 Manjalling, Kabupaten Bulukumba, yang disebabkan oleh terbatasnya partisipasi aktif siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran Baca, Jawab, Diskusikan, Jelaskan, dan Ciptakan (RADEC) yang dibantu media Kartu Misteri dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (CAR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari empat tahap: perencanaan, implementasi, observasi, dan refleksi. Partisipan penelitian adalah 24 siswa kelas lima. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, tes pencapaian belajar, dan dokumentasi, dan dianalisis menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran RADEC yang dibantu media Kartu Misteri meningkatkan baik kualitas proses pembelajaran maupun hasil belajar siswa. Aktivitas pengajaran guru meningkat dari kategori cukup baik pada Siklus I menjadi kategori baik pada Siklus II. Demikian pula, aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat dari kategori cukup baik menjadi kategori baik. Selain itu, hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari kategori buruk pada Siklus I menjadi kategori baik pada Siklus II dan memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditetapkan untuk penguasaan pembelajaran klasik. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC yang dibantu media Mystery Card efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas lima di SDN 15 Manjalling, Kabupaten Bulukumba.

Abstract

This research is based on problems found in elementary school, namely the low student learning outcomes seen in the Class V science and science subject at SD Negeri 97 Baliara. The aim of this research is to describe the application of diagnostic assessment to improve the learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 97 Baliara. The approach used in this research is qualitative with the type of classroom action research (PTK). The research subjects were class V teachers and class V students at SD Negeri 97 Baliara with a total of 10 students consisting of 6 boys and 4 girls. The data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. The results of this research show that there is a systematic process that is considered effective in providing changes to improve learning outcomes in class V, such as student activity seen in discussing and sharing knowledge. This is proven by each of them having responsibility for mastering parts of the learning material and being able to teach the material to their friends. The conclusion of this research is that through the implementation of this assessment, student learning outcomes in class V science and science subjects at SD Negeri 97 Baliara can be improved.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the low level of critical thinking skills among fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 28 Tumampua II Pangkep Kota. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model to enhance students' critical thinking skills in the IPAS subject. This study used a qualitative approach and was a classroom action research (CAR) study, which involved a cyclical process of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research focused on students' critical thinking skills in IPAS and the TPS cooperative learning model. The subjects of this study were a teacher and 23 students from class VA at UPT SDN 28 Tumampua II Pangkep Kota in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 10 males and 13 females. Data were collected using observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed improvements in each cycle. The observation results of the learning process in Cycle I showed that both teacher and student activities were in the "moderate" category, which improved to the "good" category in Cycle II. The results of the critical thinking skills test showed that the students' skills were in the "low" category in Cycle I and improved to the "critical" category in Cycle II. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model can enhance students' critical thinking skills in IPAS subject for Phase C at UPT SDN 28 Tumampua II Pangkep Kota.

Abstract

This study was conducted at the Elementary School Teacher Education Department, Faculty of Education, Makassar State University, under the guidance of Andi Makkasau and Erma Suryani Sahabuddin. The study aimed to analyze the application of the PBL model to V grade students of SD Inpres Sarroangin, its effectiveness in improving science learning outcomes, and the magnitude of the improvement. The quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach (Quasi Experimental) using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population was all fifth grade students, a sample of 40 students was selected by simple random sampling: class VA (experimental) and VB (control). Data were collected via observation sheets and tests (multiple choice and essay), analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the implementation of PBL in the experimental group was very good. The increase in learning outcomes was significant in the experimental group (very high category). The Independent Sample T-Test yielded a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, thus rejecting H0 and accepting Ha, proving the significant influence of PBL on science learning outcomes. The PBL model effectively improves learning quality compared to conventional methods.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of students’ learning motivation in IPAS learning, thus requiring the use of innovative learning media, namely the Mystery Box. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Mystery Box learning media, to examine students’ learning motivation before and after the treatment, and to analyze its effect on improving students’ learning motivation. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a Pretest–Posttest Control Group Design. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and observation, while data analysis consisted of descriptive statistics, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the Independent Samples t-Test, supported by gain score analysis to determine the improvement in learning motivation. The results indicate that the use of the Mystery Box learning media improves students’ learning motivation and shows a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. Therefore, the Mystery Box learning media has a significant effect on improving the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres Panaikang 11 Makassar.
