Abstract

Abstract. This study examines the impact of EXO's celebrity endorsement on Scarlett Whitening's brand equity in Bandung. The research aims to assess consumer perceptions of EXO's endorsement and its effect on Scarlett Whitening's brand equity. Using a survey with questionnaires distributed to Scarlett Whitening consumers in Bandung, data analysis via SPSS version 26 revealed a constant value of 12.684 and a regression coefficient of 0.336. The T-test results indicated a t value of 4.314, exceeding the t table value of 1.6641, and a significance level of 0.000, which is below 0.10, confirming a positive and significant impact of celebrity endorsement on brand equity. The coefficient of determination (R²) shows that celebrity endorsement accounts for 18.9% of the variance in brand equity, with 81.1% attributed to other factors. EXO’s endorsement effectively creates a strong visual and emotional appeal but has a limited impact on trust regarding EXO’s beauty expertise. To enhance endorsement effectiveness, Scarlett Whitening should consider integrating EXO with beauty experts, developing loyalty programs, and creating campaigns that merge celebrity appeal with product education to boost consumer trust and repurchase intentions. While brand recognition and differentiation of Scarlett Whitening in Bandung are rated highly, future repurchase intentions are weaker compared to brand recognition. Abstrak. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh dukungan selebriti oleh boygroup EXO terhadap ekuitas merek Scarlett Whitening di Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi konsumen Scarlett terhadap dukungan selebriti EXO dan pengaruhnya terhadap ekuitas merek Scarlett Whitening. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada konsumen Scarlett Whitening di Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS versi 26, diperoleh nilai konstanta sebesar 12,684 dan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0,336. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai t sebesar 4,314, yang lebih besar dari tabel t sebesar 1,6641, serta nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yang kurang dari 0,10, sehingga menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari dukungan selebriti terhadap ekuitas merek. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi (R²) menunjukkan bahwa variabel independen dukungan selebriti dapat menjelaskan variabel dependen ekuitas merek sebesar 18,9%, sedangkan 81,1% dijelaskan oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Dukungan selebriti oleh EXO berhasil menciptakan daya tarik visual dan emosional yang kuat pada konsumen. Namun, aspek kepercayaan terhadap keahlian kecantikan EXO kurang signifikan dalam mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dukungan selebriti, Scarlett Whitening disarankan untuk menggabungkan dukungan EXO dengan kolaborasi bersama ahli kecantikan, mengembangkan program loyalitas pelanggan, dan menciptakan kampanye pemasaran yang mengintegrasikan daya tarik selebriti dengan edukasi produk guna meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen dan niat pembelian ulang. Ekuitas merek Scarlett Whitening di Bandung dinilai sangat baik oleh responden, terutama dalam hal pengenalan dan diferensiasi merek, meskipun niat untuk membeli produk kembali di masa depan tidak sekuat pengenalan merek itu sendiri. Abstract

Abstract. This exploratory quantitative descriptive study examines how consumers' intentions to boycott Starbucks in Bandung during the Gaza conflict are influenced by their ethical beliefs and cognitive dissonance. From a population of 135 consumers or former consumers of Starbucks in Bandung, a purposive sample of 101 respondents was surveyed using questionnaires and pre-surveys as interviews. Data were analysed using multiple linear regression. The results reveal a strong positive correlation (r = 0.786) between ethical belief and boycott intentions, and a positive association (r = 0.540) between cognitive dissonance and boycott intentions. Together, ethical belief and cognitive dissonance explain 63.3% of the variation in boycott intentions (R² = 0.633). Specifically, ethical belief (B = 0.499) and cognitive dissonance (B = 0.088) significantly contribute to boycott intention. To reduce boycott intentions, companies should emphasize ethical standards and clear, transparent communication to address misconceptions. These findings align with previous studies, highlighting the importance of transparency and ethical communication in reducing boycott risks and enhancing customer loyalty. Further research should explore these dynamics across various consumer groups and circumstances. Abstrak. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif eksploratif ini mengkaji bagaimana niat konsumen untuk memboikot Starbucks di Bandung selama konflik Gaza dipengaruhi oleh keyakinan etis dan disonansi kognitif mereka. Dari populasi sebanyak 135 konsumen atau mantan konsumen Starbucks di Bandung, diambil sampel purposif sebanyak 101 responden yang disurvei menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara pra-survei. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan adanya korelasi positif yang kuat (r = 0,786) antara keyakinan etis dan niat boikot, serta asosiasi positif (r = 0,540) antara disonansi kognitif dan niat boikot. Secara bersama-sama, keyakinan etis dan disonansi kognitif menjelaskan 63,3% variasi dalam niat boikot (R² = 0,633). Secara spesifik, keyakinan etis (B = 0,499) dan disonansi kognitif (B = 0,088) secara signifikan berkontribusi terhadap niat boikot. Untuk mengurangi niat boikot, perusahaan perlu menekankan standar etis dan komunikasi yang jelas serta transparan untuk mengatasi kesalahpahaman. Temuan ini sejalan dengan penelitian sebelumnya, menyoroti pentingnya transparansi dan komunikasi etis dalam mengurangi risiko boikot dan meningkatkan loyalitas pelanggan. Penelitian lebih lanjut sebaiknya mengeksplorasi dinamika ini di berbagai kelompok konsumen dan keadaan yang berbeda.

Abstract

Abstract. The primary objective of this research is to analyze and optimize the quality of service at Edulab Dago, which is one of the major high schools' tutoring centers, using the QFD method. This study aims at determining the most essential needs and requirements of customers and translating them into technical responses in order to enhance the quality of service. The structured approach followed by the research is: firstly, the distribution of questionnaires to Edulab students in grades 10, 11, and 12; secondly, analysis regarding which customer needs are the most critical will be obtained from the data collected; lastly, the QFD method associates the needs with technical responses, setting priorities on actions that Edulab should realize to improve service quality. Results show that the main customer concerns are the teaching staff's competence in guiding the students, the ability to explain the material clearly, and helpful physical modules and teaching materials. Technical responses in terms of regular quality control, training educators, and sufficient availability of teaching space have been recognized as paramount factors for the fulfillment of customer needs. This study concludes that if Edulab concentrates its efforts on these prioritized attributes and technical responses, the quality of its services will be significantly enhanced, increasing customer satisfaction and creating a stronger competitive position. It is envisaged that the findings and recommendations from this research will provide the strategic roadmap for Edulab to continually improve its services to meet the changing needs of students. Abstrak. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mengoptimalkan kualitas layanan di Edulab Dago, yang merupakan salah satu pusat bimbingan untuk sekolah menengah, dengan menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kebutuhan dan persyaratan pelanggan yang paling penting serta menerjemahkannya menjadi tanggapan teknis untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan. Pendekatan terstruktur yang diikuti dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: pertama, distribusi kuesioner kepada siswa Edulab di kelas 10, 11, dan 12; kedua, analisis untuk mengetahui kebutuhan pelanggan yang paling kritis berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan; dan terakhir, metode QFD menghubungkan kebutuhan dengan tanggapan teknis, menetapkan prioritas tindakan yang harus dilakukan oleh Edulab untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perhatian utama pelanggan adalah kompetensi staf pengajar dalam membimbing siswa, kemampuan untuk menjelaskan materi dengan jelas, serta modul dan bahan ajar yang bermanfaat. Tanggapan teknis dalam bentuk kontrol kualitas rutin, pelatihan pendidik, dan ketersediaan ruang belajar yang memadai telah diidentifikasi sebagai faktor penting untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa jika Edulab memfokuskan upayanya pada atribut dan tanggapan teknis yang diprioritaskan ini, kualitas layanannya akan meningkat secara signifikan, meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan dan menciptakan posisi kompetitif yang lebih kuat. Diharapkan temuan dan rekomendasi dari penelitian ini akan memberikan peta jalan strategis bagi Edulab untuk terus meningkatkan layanannya agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa yang terus berkembang. Abstract

The purpose of this study is how to optimize the problem solving of the Mosque Cooperative in Bandung City through the transformation of generic strategies and social innovation catalysts with the Red Ocean Management Strategy approach. Two steps have been taken, namely the identification of SWOT and the selection of generic strategies and social innovation catalysts through the Red Ocean Management Strategy approach. The results of the IFE and EFE SWOT analysis and are stated in the quadrant matrix identified in quadrant III, namely the mosque cooperative in a weak and threatened condition, where this condition is unfavorable for the mosque cooperative, which is dominated by the organization's internal weaknesses and threatened by the external environment. The Red Ocean strategy that must be carried out by mosque cooperative managers is focus and product differentiation by catalyzing innovation in the service process with priority on improving internal management.

Abstract

Abstract. In Indonesia, the automotive industry is still the pillar of the manufacturing sector. However, the automotive industry faces major challenges, especially in developing environmentally friendly automotive products and supply chains for domestic and global needs. The EV supply chain is becoming more challenging to mass-produce. This research will develop a model that will lead to a lean supply chain in the EV industry in Indonesia as an effort to develop EV in the world. Qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach is used in this study. Case studies on five companies in the EV industry in Indonesia were selected for investigation by collecting various kinds of information from annual reports and other literature which were then processed to obtain a solution so that the problems revealed could be resolved. Lean supply chain management systems are able to add value for customers and for the business and are customer driven. In addition to developing the supply chain on the production side, the accessibility of electricity supply must also be considered when EVs are widely used by the public. Abstrak.  Di Indonesia, industri otomotif masih menjadi penopang sektor manufaktur. Namun industri otomotif menghadapi tantangan besar, terutama dalam mengembangkan produk dan rantai pasok otomotif ramah lingkungan untuk kebutuhan domestik dan global. Rantai pasokan kendaraan listrik menjadi lebih menantang untuk diproduksi secara massal. Penelitian ini akan mengembangkan model yang akan mengarah pada lean supply chain pada industri EV di Indonesia sebagai upaya pengembangan EV di dunia. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Studi kasus terhadap lima perusahaan industri EV di Indonesia dipilih untuk diselidiki dengan mengumpulkan berbagai macam informasi dari laporan tahunan dan literatur lainnya yang kemudian diolah untuk mendapatkan solusi sehingga permasalahan yang terungkap dapat diselesaikan. Sistem manajemen rantai pasokan yang ramping mampu memberikan nilai tambah bagi pelanggan dan bisnis serta didorong oleh pelanggan. Selain pengembangan rantai pasok di sisi produksi, aksesibilitas pasokan listrik juga harus diperhatikan ketika EV banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of developing the Bandung Geriatric Centre (BGC) Primary Clinic, which focuses on holistic health services for the elderly, given the increasing elderly population and the complexity of their health needs. Methodology/approach: This study was conducted with a quantitative approach using demographic data, market analysis, location study, technology evaluation, government regulation review, and financial projections. Analyses covered market, operational, human resources, legal, and financial aspects. Results/findings: The results show that the development of BGC is feasible. The market aspect shows good growth potential, the strategic location supports operations, the medical personnel fulfill the service needs, and the legality is in accordance with regulations. From a financial perspective, the project showed a positive value with a Payback Period of 4.03 years, NPV of IDR 428.8 million, and IRR of 15.73%. Conclusion: Bandung Geriatric Centre (BGC) Primary Clinic is considered feasible to develop based on the analysis of market, operational, human resources, legal, and financial aspects, with large market potential, strategic location, availability of sufficient human resources, legal compliance, and profitable financial projections. Limitations: This study remains valid despite the limitations of reliance on secondary data, the scope of competitor analysis being limited to a 2.5 km radius, and financial assumptions that are subject to change due to economic dynamics. Contribution: This study contributes to the development of an integrated holistic approach-based elderly health service model, and is useful for health practitioners, investors in health services, and policy makers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the satisfaction levels of outpatients participating in Indonesia's national health insurance (JKN) under its tiered referral system. The research objective is to assess patient satisfaction at Dr. Slamet Regional Public Hospital, a primary referral center, across six key dimensions. A mixed-methods approach was employed, using surveys with 105 outpatients and in-depth interviews with hospital personnel. The findings reveal an overall patient satisfaction level of 74.01%, classified as “good.” Medical services received the highest satisfaction score (76.62%), while cost perception was the lowest (69.14%). Although clinical care is highly rated, the study identifies significant administrative complexity and long waiting times as primary sources of patient dissatisfaction. The main implication is that while the JKN program succeeds in delivering quality medical care, the patient experience is significantly hampered by bureaucratic inefficiencies. Practical improvements should focus on streamlining administrative procedures and optimizing patient flow to enhance overall satisfaction.

Abstract

This research examines the saving intentions of millennials in Bandung City toward Islamic banking by applying a descriptive quantitative method. The study targets individuals aged 29–44 who have not yet opened an Islamic bank account and are distributed across 30 districts in Bandung. The main purpose is to analyze how lifestyle patterns, financial literacy, and demographic characteristics influence their willingness to save in Islamic banks. The analysis shows that female millennials between 24–28 years old express a stronger intention to save compared to other groups. Educational background, whether high school or university level, presents no significant differences in saving interest. By contrast, occupational status provides clearer distinctions: male civil servants and female employees in the private sector exhibit higher levels of intention. Income data reveal that most respondents earn between IDR 2–5 million monthly, placing them in the lower-middle income bracket. The findings also suggest that saving preferences are shaped more by individual information seeking rather than by family expectations or peer influence. Although their comprehension of Islamic financial principles is relatively limited reducing their level of trust, millennials demonstrate considerable digital literacy and confidence in using Islamic banking services. Overall, the study concludes that millennials make financial choices in a rational and independent manner but still require more accessible digital financial education. To capture this market, Islamic banks are advised to integrate Islamic values with digital literacy initiatives and foster closer engagement with millennial communities to build long-term trust and loyalty.

Abstract

Human resource operations in many Indonesian companies still rely heavily on manual systems, leading to inefficiencies, data inaccuracies, and delays. This study examines the development and implementation of an Android and cloud-based Human Resource Information System (HRIS) at PT Sari Ater, a hospitality company facing such operational challenges. The objective is to reduce processing time, improve data accuracy, and enhance employee satisfaction by digitizing core HR functions such as leave requests, reimbursement claims, attendance tracking, and training records. The study adopts a qualitative descriptive method, including interviews, observations, and document analysis, and applies the Trees Rapid Track Cloud Implementation Methodology. A four-week pilot involving 35 employees showed significant improvements: leave approval times dropped from over 4 days to under 1 day, reimbursement processing was reduced by 65%, and form entry errors declined by over 80%. Employee satisfaction with HR services also increased substantially. These findings demonstrate that integrating mobile and cloud technologies can transform HR operations in SMEs, increase transparency, and support digital transformation. The system offers a scalable model for similar organizations seeking to modernize their HR management and foster a culture of accountability and efficiency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify potential retail state sukuk as part of state bonds that are used to replace foreign debt and lower the government's budget deficit. This study is important because the government's budget deficit continues to rise each year due to the increase of foreign debt. The increase in the debt itself is closely related to exchange rate fluctuations. Therefore, it is important for the government to develop a relatively secure funding in facing exchange rate fluctuations as well as parts of interest rate. The government has developed state securities based on sharia (SBSN) which can be used not only to close finance deficit but also to alternatively finance the infrastructure development. The population consists of budget deficit, retail state sukuk, corporate sukuk, and foreign debt. It uses purposive sampling to get the sample during 2009 -2015. This research uses descriptive quantitative method of secondary data published by Bank Indonesia, ministry Finance and Jakarta Islamic Index. The result shows that the proportion of retail state sukuk against sharia state securities increases over time (over 50%) but the proportion of corporate sukuk numbers is still relatively small (below 25%).
