Abstract

THE ROLE OF LEADERSHIP IN IMPROVING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENTLeadership in education refers to the ability to influence, coordinate, and motivate individuals involved in the implementation and development of education, so that educational or school goals can be achieved effectively and efficiently. To achieve school goals effectively and efficiently, strong principal leadership is required. There are seven main characteristics of effective principal leadership, namely: (1) having a clear vision, (2) setting high expectations for achievement, (3) planning and providing positive and constructive feedback, (4) encouraging efficient use of time, (5) utilizing various learning resources, (6) integrating student development both individually and in groups, (7) conducting continuous assessment and improvement. It is clear that educational leadership plays a crucial role in educational management, because in essence every educational institution or agency needs a leader. This article reviews the definition of leadership, the function of educational leadership, the concept of leadership in schools, and principal leadership. According to Bachtiar Surin, as quoted by Maman Ukas, the term khalifah means a liaison or leader who is given the responsibility to convey or lead something.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi implementasi pemikiran pendidikan Ibnu Sina, khususnya metode targhib wa tarhib dalam konteks penerapan disiplin positif di Ma'had Al-Hikmah MAN 1 Gresik. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah strategi yang diterapkan oleh kepala sekolah dan pengurus MaÔÇÖhad dalam mengimplementasikan metode disiplin positif untuk membentuk karakter dan moral santri di era Society 5.0. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan metode studi lapangan, yang meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Observasi dilakukan sebanyak lima kali untuk menilai aktivitas santri serta interaksi antara pendidik dan santri. Wawancara dilakukan langsung dengan lima narasumber, termasuk kepala sekolah dan pengurus Ma'had yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data mengikuti model Miles dan Huberman dengan penerapan triangulasi untuk menjamin validitas data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepala sekolah dan pengurus dalam menerapkan metode disiplin positif efektif dalam membangun karakter dan moral santri, sejalan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan Ibnu Sina yang menekankan kasih sayang dan pemahaman karakter individu. Ma'had Al-Hikmah berupaya menciptakan generasi muda yang mampu menghadapi tantangan digital dengan integritas dan rasa tanggung jawab yang tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan strategi pendidikan yang lebih baik dan pemahaman yang lebih dalam mengenai integrasi nilai-nilai moral dalam pendidikan modern.

Abstract

ENGLISH: Islamic Religious Education Learning Strategy Based on Self-Regulated Learning in Enhancing Students' Metacognition at Al-Izzah International Islamic Boarding SchoolObjective: This study aims to analyze the learning strategies employed by teachers to enhance students' metacognition through a Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) approach at Al-Izzah IIBS Batu High School. Method: This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a case study design. Data was obtained through interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, Islamic Education teachers, homeroom teachers, and students. Results: The improvement of students' metacognition at SMA Al-Izzah IIBS Batu is achieved through a Self-Regulated Learning (SRL)-based Islamic Religious Education teaching strategy that involves teacher reflection and the development of students' learning independenc. Conclusion: Students' self-regulated learning (SRL) abilities influence their metacognition, which, in turn, shapes their learning independence and readiness to become lifelong learners. Contribution: This study contributes to the implementation of Self-Regulated Learning in Islamic Religious Education, enhancing metacognition and fostering life skills such as independence, responsibility, and self-awareness among students.INDOENSIAN: Strategi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Berbasis Self-Regulated Learning Dalam Meningkatkan Metakognisi Siswa di Al-Izzah International Islamic Boarding SchoolTujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru dalam meningkatkan metakognisi siswa melalui pendekatan berbasis Self Regulated Learning (SRL) di SMA Al-Izzah IIBS Batu. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, waka kurikulum, guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, wali kelas dan siswa. Hasil: Peningkatan metakognisi siswa di SMA Al-Izzah IIBS Batu tercapai melalui strategi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam berbasis Self-Regulated Learning (SRL), yang melibatkan refleksi guru dan pengembangan kemandirian belajar siswa. Kesimpulan: Kemampuan Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) peserta didik memberikan pengaruh terhadap metakognisinya, yang pada akhirnya membentuk kemandirian belajar dan kesiapan menjadi pembelajar sepanjang hayat secara berkelanjutan. Kontribusi: Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam penerapan Self-Regulated Learning pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, yang meningkatkan metakognisi dan menumbuhkan keterampilan hidup seperti kemandirian, tanggung jawab, dan kesadaran diri pada peserta didik.
