Abstract

The types of woody plants in the Nature Laboratory of Biology Education FKIP UNRI have not been completely recorded, besides that the results of observations can be used as a source of learning which is still very rare for teachers to develop pocket books. This study aims to inventory tree vegetation at the Nature Laboratory of Biology Education FKIP UNRI as a pocket book design on biodiversity material. The research was conducted in June-September 2021. This research is survey research and development research. Inventory of tree vegetation types using the roaming method. The development of a pocket book on biodiversity material uses the ADDIE development model. The inventory results show that there are 19 types of tree vegetation in the Biology Education Nature Laboratory, namely Alstonia scholaris. R. Br, Rhodamnia cinereal, Sizygium acuminatissimum, Terminalia catappa. L, Aporasa granularis, Blumeodendron kruzii, Maccaranga gigantean, Endospermum javanicum, Artocarpus elasticus, Ficus carica. L, Artocarpus heterophyllus, Calophyllum inophyllum. L, Vitex pinnata, Switenia macrophylla, Peronema canescens, Symplocos cochinchinensis, Diospyros confertiflora, Schima wallichi. Korth, Cocos nucifera. L. The results of the inventory become a source of pocket book information on biodiversity material.

Abstract

Abstrak: Observasi awal yang dilakukan di SD Islam Plus Ekatama menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi siswa masih tergolong rendah. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa SD. Mitra pada kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu siswa SD Islam Plus Ekatama yang berjumlah 16 siswa. Kegiatan terdiri dari (1) Persiapan, meliputi komunikasi, observasi, dan survey awal; (2) Pelaksanaan, meliputi kegiatan bimbingan intensif literasi; and (3) Evaluasi meliputi hasil peningkatan kemampuan literasi melalui kegiatan posttest. Untuk mengukur ketercapaian tujuan kegiatan yang dilakukan digunakan instrument soal Pretest dan Posttest. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh bahwa terjadi peningkatan nilai rerata Pretest yang awalnya 15,62 meningkat menjadi 46,56. Hanya ada satu siswa yang tidak mengalami peningkatan maupun penurunan (6,25%), sedangkan siswa lainnya (93,75%) mengalami peningkatan skor nilai Pretest dan Posttest. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan bimbingan intensif literasi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa.Abstract: Initial observations made at SD Islam Plus Ekatama showed that students' literacy skills were still relatively low. The purpose of this service activity is to improve the literacy skills of elementary school students. Partners in this service activityare Islamic Elementary School Plus Ekatama students totaling 16 students. Activities consist of (1) Preparation, including communication, observation, and initial survey; (2) Implementation, including literacy intensive guidance activities; and (3) Evaluation includes the results of increasing literacy skills through posttest activities. To measure the achievement of the objectives of the activities carried out, the pretest and posttest instrument was used. Based on the results obtained, there was an increase in the average pretest value, which was initially 15.62, increased to 46.56. There was only one student who did not experience an increase or decrease (6.25%), while the other students (93.75%) experienced an increase in their Pretest and Posttest scores. It can be concluded that literacy intensive guidance activities can improve students' literacy skills.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) merupakan kemampuan yang perlu dimiliki siswa untuk menghadapi perubahan dan perkembangan zaman saat ini. Guna mengoptimalisasikan kemampuan HOTS siswa, salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan mengembangkan soal HOTS. Hal ini disebabkan, tanpa adanya soal HOTS, akan sulit untuk mengukur pencapaian kemampuan HOTS siswa. Namun, masih ada sekolah yang belum menggunakan soal HOTS dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan penyusunan soal HOTS perlu diberikan kepada guru-guru yang belum menggunakan soal HOTS dalam pembelajaran. Metode pelaksanaan pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan materi terkait definisi dan karakteristik soal HOTS, serta bagaimana menyusun soal HOTS tersebut. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan pelatihan sudah berjalan cukup baik. Berdasarkan angket yang diberikan kepada guru, semua peserta menyukai pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan yang telah dilakukan, terlihat dari rata-rata respon sebesar 93.24% dan berada pada kategori sangat baik.. Selain itu, peserta pelatihan telah menyusun soal HOTS di mata pelajaran masing-masing. Ditinjau dari rata-rata skor pretes sebesar 41.38 dan rata-rata skor postes sebesar 51.38, berarti telah terjadi peningkatan pada skor postes. Namun, jika dilihat dari soal HOTS yang telah dihasilkan, masih ada soal yang belum memenuhi karakteristik soal HOTS, sehingga masih memerlukan perbaikan lebih lanjut.Kata kunci—guru SMA, HOTS, pelatihan

Abstract

This study aims to produce an electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) with Flip PDF Professional Based on a Scientific Approach to Biodiversity Material. The research was carried out at the Biology Education Study Program FKIP UNRI and at Pekanbaru  Public High School for students at Pekanbaru Public High School from July to September 2022. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE and this research is limited to the development stage only. The instruments used were validation sheets and student response questionnaires with a likert scale. The results of this study indicate that the results of validation by the validator are in the very valid category with an average score of all aspects of 3.65. The results of the first phase trial obtained an average score of 3.61 and the results of the second phase trial obtained an average score of 3.58 in the very good category. Based on the research results of the E-LKPD with Flip PDF Professional based on a Scientific Approach on biodiversity material, it shows that the E-LKPD that has been developed is included in the very valid category

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) pada materi Sistem Respirasi kelas XI SMA yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan diFakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau, SMAN 1 Pekanbaru dan SMAN 8 Pekanbaru pada Oktober- Februari 2021. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model penelitian ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation dan evaluation. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti hanya sampai pada tahap development. Instrumen pengambilan data berupa lembar validasi dan angket responden. Hasil validasi Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) pada materi Sistem Respirasi kelas XI SMA berada pada nilai rerata 3,75 dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil skor uji coba terbatas I adalah 3,60 dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil skor uji coba terbatas II adalah 3,69 dengan kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) pada materi Sistem Respirasi kelas XI SMA telah berhasil dikembangkan dengan kualitas sangat baik dan dapat diimplementasikan pada skala yang lebih luas.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Problem-based Learning (PBL) through blended on students' collaborative abilities in excretion system. This research was conducted at one of High School in Riau, 2021/2022 academic year. This research type is quasi-experiment using questionnaires and observation sheets. The parameters used are students' collaborative abilities, with indicators: working productively, respecting opinions, compromise, and responsibility. Result of collaborative ability in the control class was 48.33 (not good), and in the experimental class it was 82.62 (good). Highest indicator of collaborative ability is responsibility, and the lowest score is compromising. The conclusion is PBL through blended has an effect on students' collaborative abilities.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of implementing a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with Blended Learning on enhancing students’ collaborative abilities. Conducted in class XI of SMA Negeri Plus Riau Province during the 2021/2022 academic year, the research utilized a control group design to compare the collaborative skills of students in an experimental class, which employed the PBL model, with those in a control class. The study assessed four key indicators of collaborative ability: working productively, valuing opinions, compromising, and sharing responsibility. The findings revealed that students in the experimental class showed significant improvements in all four indicators compared to the control class. Specifically, the experimental group demonstrated better time management, greater respect for diverse viewpoints, enhanced ability to find common ground, and a stronger sense of shared responsibility. These results suggest that the combination of PBL and Blended Learning fosters a more engaging and effective learning environment, promoting active participation, critical thinking, and teamwork. The study concludes that adopting such pedagogical approaches can enhance collaborative skills among students, making them better prepared for future challenges that require cooperation and problem-solving. This research provides valuable insights for educators seeking to implement innovative teaching strategies to improve educational outcomes and equip students with essential 21st-century skills.DOI: 10.17977/jps.v12i32024p117

Abstract

Abstrak: Kemampuan dan minat membaca siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 123 Pekanbaru masih tergolong rendah berdasarkan hasil observasi awal. Tujuan utama kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan dasar kecintaan dan juga pemahaman literasi pada siswa sekolah dasar negeri 123 Pekanbaru seperti membaca dan juga memahami isi bacaan. Metode yang dipakai dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu metode pendampingan dimana tim pengabdi melakukan pendampingan kepada siswa untuk melaksanakan program one day one story. Tahapan pada pengabdian ini meliputi: (1) persiapan yang terdiri dari observasi dan perencanaan program; (2) pelaksanaan program yaitu one day one story; dan (3) evaluasi program. Mitra pada kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar negeri 123 Pekanbaru yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Ketercapaian kegiatan pengabdian diukur melalui instrument soal Pre-Test dan Post-Test. Hasil dari kegiatan ini dapat diketahui dengan adanya program one day one story yang dilaksanakan terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan dan juga minat siswa dalam hal literasi. Terjadi peningkatan minat siswa dalam membaca dengan persentase nilai N-Gain sebesar 58.8% dan penguasaan siswa dalam memahami bacaan juga terjadi peningkatan sebesar 66.67%.Abstract: The reading ability and interest of students at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 123 Pekanbaru have been observed to be relatively low based on initial observations. The primary objective of this community service initiative is to foster a foundation of love for reading and literacy comprehension among students at State Elementary School 123 Pekanbaru, encompassing reading skills and understanding the content of texts. The method employed in this service activity is an accompaniment approach, where the service team provides guidance to students in implementing the "One Day One Story" program. The stages of this service activity include: (1) preparation, which consists of observation and program planning; (2) program implementation, specifically the "One Day One Story" initiative; and (3) program evaluation. The partners involved in this activity are 30 fifth-grade students from State Elementary School 123 Pekanbaru. The success of this service activity is measured through Pre-Test and post-test instruments. The results of the activity indicate that the implementation of the "One Day One Story" program has effectively enhanced both the reading ability and interest of the students in literacy. There was an increase in students' interest in reading, with an N-Gain score of 58.8%, and a significant improvement in their comprehension of reading material, with a 66.67% increase.

Abstract

Desa Padang Tanggung Kecamatan Pangean Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi memiliki potensi wisata yang dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat, ditambah dengan pariwisata Pantai Jai-Jai Raok ini sudah pernah menjadi tuan rumah dalam festival kebudayaan “Pacu Jalur”, maka dari itu pelaksanaan pengabdian perlu dilakukan untuk mengembangkan pariwisata Pantai Jai-Jai Raok ini serta memperkenalkan wisata ini ke dalam sosial media dalam rangka meingkatkan perekonomian masyarakat setempat dari potensi desa.

Abstract

The "Kampus Mengajar" program is a program initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia which aims to improve the quality of education through teaching and learning activities carried out by students. The purpose of this service is to improve students' literacy, numeracy and technological adaptation at school. The methods used in this service are observation, discussion, coordination, program implementation and reporting. The results obtained from the implementation of the teaching campus program are an increase in student literacy, numeracy and adaptation.
