Abstract

This study examines the influence of employee seniority and loyalty on job promotion at the Trade and Industry Service of Gowa Regency. The research is motivated by the importance of fair and transparent promotion systems in public organizations, where both seniority and loyalty are often considered as decisive factors. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to all 39 employees of the Trade and Industry Service using a saturated sampling technique. The data were analyzed with multiple linear regression supported by SPSS version 30, and the validity and reliability of instruments were tested prior to hypothesis examination. The results demonstrate that seniority has a positive and significant effect on job promotion, as indicated by the t-count value of 3.188, which exceeds the t-table value of 1.686, with a significance level of 0.003. Similarly, employee loyalty shows a positive and significant effect on job promotion with a t-count of 3.151 and the same significance value of 0.003. Furthermore, simultaneous testing confirms that both variables jointly influence job promotion, with an R² value of 0.328, suggesting that 32.8% of the variance in job promotion is explained by seniority and loyalty, while 67.2% is affected by other factors. These findings imply that organizations should design promotion policies that balance seniority, loyalty, and competency to ensure fairness and improve employee motivation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian metode Deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepuasan kerja dalam meningkatkan retensi karyawan di PT. Haji LA Tunrung Listrik dan Kontruksi. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif yang di peroleh dari hasil obserfasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Dalam penelitian ini sumber data yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data mencakup data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kepuasan kerja memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan retensi karyawan di PT Haji La Tunrung Listrik dan Konstruksi. Karyawan yang merasa puas cenderung bertahan lebih lama, sementara ketidakpuasan dapat mendorong mereka mencari peluang lain. Perusahaan telah mengambil langkah-langkah seperti pelatihan rutin, bonus tahunan, dan peningkatan fasilitas untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja meliputi gaji, kesempatan pengembangan karir, lingkungan kerja yang nyaman, dan komunikasi yang terbuka. Meskipun ada upaya positif, tantangan tetap ada dalam menyeimbangkan harapan karyawan dengan kebijakan perusahaan. Kata kunci : Kepuasan Kerja dan Retensi Karyawan

Abstract

This community service programme employed a participatory, experiential learning approach to equip secondary school students at Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School, Hat Yai, Thailand, with basic digital marketing skills through the creation of digital portfolios. Thirty students, supported by three teachers, took part in interactive lectures, demonstrations, guided practice, project-based learning, and feedback sessions. Quantitative results from paired sample t-tests showed a significant improvement in knowledge and skills, with mean scores increasing from 55.40 (SD = 8.25) in the pre-test to 78.30 (SD = 7.10) in the post-test (t(29) = 11.25, p < 0.05). Qualitative findings reinforced these outcomes: students demonstrated active participation and creativity, reported greater confidence in applying digital concepts, and produced coherent portfolios; teachers also confirmed improvements in digital competencies aligned with the school’s literacy objectives. Overall, the programme proved effective in delivering practical and relevant learning experiences that significantly enhanced students’ digital literacy and entrepreneurial potential in line with the demands of the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of brand awareness, brand image, and price on brand loyalty in student smartphone users. The research background is based on increasing competition between smartphone brands which requires companies to understand the factors that drive consumer loyalty, especially among students who are known as active and critical users. This study uses an associative quantitative approach with a survey method of 82 respondents from the Management Study Program Class of 2022, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. The results showed that brand awareness, brand image, and price partially and simultaneously had a significant effect on brand loyalty. The R² value of 0.825 indicates that the three independent variables explain 82.5% of the variation in brand loyalty. This finding confirms the importance of building a strong brand image, maintaining brand awareness, and setting prices in accordance with consumer value perceptions. This research provides strategic implications for companies in designing more effective marketing to retain customers in the student segment

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the work environment and community participation on the performance of employees at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Gowa Regency. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 54 respondents who are employees of the department. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results show that partially, both work environment and community participation variables have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, simultaneously, the work environment and community participation do not have a significant effect on the performance of employees at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Gowa Regency.

Abstract

Building Awareness among Elementary School student through International Community Service", was implemented at Permai Pulai Pinang, Malaysia, with elementary school students as the main partners. The program was designed to enhance student’ knowledge, awareness, and skills in understanding the role of accounting as a tool for promoting sustainability. In an era where environmental, social, and economic challenges are increasingly complex, the younger generation must be equipped with literacy in sustainability-oriented financial accountability.The activities were carried out through interactive workshops, group discussions, and practical exercises that introduced concepts of sustainable development, green accounting, and responsible financial practices. Student were actively engaged in problem-solving sessions and case studies relevant to their daily lives, thereby linking abstract accounting concepts to real-world sustainability issues. The international setting of this program also provided cross-cultural learning opportunities, encouraging participants to exchange perspectives and develop a global mindset toward sustainability challenges.The outcomes of the program showed increased awareness and understanding among participants about the importance of integrating sustainability principles into decision-making processes. Furthermore, the program fostered critical thinking, collaboration, and social responsibility among the student. This initiative demonstrates that accounting education, when integrated with sustainability values, can serve as a powerful medium to inspire the younger generation to become agents of change for a sustainable future. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether financial literacy, peer effects, and sources of information influence the behavior of students at Muhammadiyah 7 Makassar High School in using fintech. The research employs a quantitative approach to examine specific populations or samples with the goal of testing established hypotheses. The findings reveal that financial literacy does not have a significant impact on fintech usage behavior. Conversely, peer effects and sources of information have a significant impact on fintech usage behavior. The urgency of this research lies in the importance of understanding the factors that influence the adoption of financial technology among students, who are the future generation and potential users of fintech. By identifying key factors that affect their behavior, schools and policymakers can design more effective educational programs and interventions to enhance understanding and responsible use of fintech. Overall, financial literacy, peer effects, and sources of information collectively account for 71.9% of the influence on fintech usage behavior, while the remaining 29.1% is affected by other variables not discussed in this study.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan kerja, stress kerja dan beban kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT. Pelindo Jasa Maritim kota Makassar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan PT. Pelindo Jasa Maritim kota Makassar yang berjumlah 173 orang. Sedangkan sampel penelitia ini ditentukan dengan menggunakan rumus slovin yaitu diperoleh 64 orang. Dalam penelitian ini sumber data yang digunakan mencakup data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji parsial (uji t) dan uji koefisien determinasi (R2), namun terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji validitas, uji reabilitas, dan uji asumsi klasik. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) versi 27. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa data mengenai pengaruh lingkungan kerja, stress kerja dan beban kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT. Pelindo Jasa Maritim Kota Makassar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil perhitungan uji T lingkungan kerja diperoleh yaitu T hitung > T tabel (2.150 > 1.999) dan nilai signifikan (0.036 < 0.05).

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai di PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 Makassar. Jenisa penelitian ini bersifat deskripti kuantitatif. Sampel ini diambil dari PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 Makassar. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari kuesioner yang dibagikan dan berhubungan dengan masalah yang diteliti. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan pembagian kuesioner. Dalam penelitian ini sumber data yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data mencakup data primer dan data sekunder. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode skala likert. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian data dengan menggunakan perhitungan statistic melalui aplikasi Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) versi 26 mengenai pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan lingkungan kerja terhadaop kinerja pegawai di PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 Makassarr yang telah dibahas dari bab sebelumnya, maka penulis menarik kesimpulan penting yaitu gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif yang berarti gaya kepemimpinan perlu terus dditingkatkan, teruatam pada aspek kekampuan memotivasi dan mengendalikan emosi, sebab dari hasil tanggapan responden kedua aspek ini masih menjadi kekurangan dari pemimpin yang ada. Selain itu, meskipun lingkungan kerja secara keseluruhan tidak berpengaruh signifikan, namun aspek beban kerja pegawai, khususnya kondisi pekerjaan, perlu diperhatikan lebih lanjut karena berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kondisi pekerjaan menjadi salah sau hal yang dikeluhkan pegawai.

Abstract

This Community Service Programme (PKM) aims to enhance the entrepreneurial understanding and skills of 30 upper–secondary students at Sangkhom Islam Wittaya School, Thailand, through the application of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) as a learning medium. The background of this activity stems from the school’s need to strengthen entrepreneurship education that is practical and easy for students to grasp. The methods employed include preliminary observation, interactive training, guidance in developing the BMC, and evaluation through students’ project outputs and teachers’ feedback. The results indicate that the students were able to understand the nine elements of the BMC and apply them in designing simple business ideas in a more structured manner. Teachers also acknowledged the effectiveness of the BMC as a tool to support entrepreneurship learning. The contribution of this activity lies in its tangible enhancement of students’ business literacy and creativity through the application of the Business Model Canvas (BMC). It also contributes to strengthening the entrepreneurship curriculum in schools by introducing learning that is more practical, applied, and innovative.
