Abstract

Abstract

Social Enterprise (SE) is an exciting phenomenon. Many SEs carry out activities that might be avoided by ordinary businesses pursuing profit but instead become the main targets of SE activities that have a social mission. Thus, building SE sustainability is more difficult because the problems are complex, and most SE is MSME with resource constraints. SE should be able to pick the best strategies, considering their limited resources and changing demand from the ecosystem. This research aims to formulate the priority strategies for SE sustainability. This research employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Three key factors and ten elements for the sustainability of SE were derived from the literature study, survey findings, and interviews with SE experts and SE players. Using the Fuzzy AHP method, the choice of strategies is combined with the opinions of experts based on existing factors. The findings are as follows. The top four strategy ranks are innovation, collaboration, and adaptive to the changing needs of society and leveraging their resources. Therefore, this research concludes that innovation should be the priority to achieve the sustainability of SE. The primary strategy must be carried out is collaborative innovation to respond to changing social needs.

Abstract

Parental conflict and divorce trends have been increasing over the years and hinder parents from nurturing their children, particularly fathers. Fathers are more likely to disengage in parenting after a divorce. This may affect children in their romantic relationships in later life. This study aimed to examine the effects of parental conflict and divorce and father parenting practices towards self-efficacy in romantic relationships of young adults male. The study applied quantitative methods with correlational, comparative, and regression analysis. 62 male and single young adults whose parents were divorced before the age of 18 were involved and chosen with purposive sampling. The data was collected by using the children's perception of interparental conflict scale (α=0.92), parental acceptance-rejection questionnaire (α=0.86), and self-efficacy in romantic relationship scale (α=0.89). The results revealed that there is a partial correlation between parental conflict intensity and relationship anxiety and other aspects related to the self-efficacy of young male adults. Paired t-test illustrated differences in self-efficacy in romantic relationships based on individual characteristics and father parenting practices (negative). Regression analysis also demonstrated a significant effect of father parenting practices, both positive and negative, towards self-efficacy in romantic relationships. In conclusion, the efficacy of romantic relationships in early adulthood from divorced families is influenced by negative paternal parenting.

Abstract

COVID-19 has had an impact on family life in both single-earner and dual-earner families. This study aims to analyze the effect of family characteristics, husband-wife gender roles, and family interaction on family well-being in single-earner and dual-earner families. This study was conducted in September 2021 and used a cross-sectional design with secondary data analysis from a family quality survey. Purposive sampling was used. The sample consisted of 986 families, namely families with an intact family type who had children, lived in DKI Jakarta, and had a single-earner or dual-earner status. Data were analyzed using an independent t-test and structural equation Modeling (SEM). The study found differences between single- and dual-earner families in the number of children, husband-and-wife education, family income, family interaction, and family well-being. Based on SEM analysis, in single-earner families, family well-being can be improved directly or indirectly by increasing family income, by achieving equality in husband-wife gender roles, and by improving good family interaction. In dual-earner families, family well-being can be directly improved by increased family income, equality of gender roles, and better family interaction. The conclusion was that families strive to increase income, establish gender equality, and interact well to improve family well-being.

Abstract

In 2021, West Java recorded one of the highest stunting rates in Indonesia, with Garut Regency reporting a prevalence of 35.2 percent among children under five. This public health crisis extends beyond nutritional deficiencies and is exacerbated by suboptimal parenting practices and limited access to basic health services such as posyandu. This study aims to analyze the influence of gender roles in parenting, the frequency of child visits to posyandu, and how parental and child characteristics affect the quality of care for stunted children. A cross-sectional design was applied, involving 40 parents of stunted children in Wanamekar Village, Wanaraja District, using purposive sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The results revealed significant relationships among gender roles in parenting, health service utilization, and caregiving quality. Regression analysis further demonstrated that child’s birth order, height, parental age, father’s education, mother’s occupation, father’s income, number of household members, child’s health insurance status, and gender-equitable parenting significantly influenced caregiving quality. These findings underscore the importance of integrated, gender-responsive strategies that prioritize equitable parental involvement and access to essential health services. This study offers empirical evidence to support family-centered policy initiatives aimed at improving early childhood development outcomes in resource-limited rural settings.

Abstract

The study was conducted in Batang Regency, Central Java. Still high levels of family poverty in this area, especially the condition of the family head women and tend to have non-permanent work, make the authors interested in doing this in-property research. Research methods using quantitative mixed methods are strengthened by qualitative analysis. The sampling technique uses stratified random sampling, using the Slovin formula to determine the magnitude of the number of respondents. The study population numbered 535, with a total sample of research were 229 female heads of households. The results showed that indicators of group roles and companion roles had a very large contribution in encouraging the characteristics of women's household heads to be more empowered. Through a companion role, making a family of female heads more actively communicating. Through the development of public speaking, establishing a critical culture in the group, thus growing self-confidence, forming a empowered, independent, and potential self. Important research is conducted to see the extent to which the women's head program has walked the trunk, creating many tough women. Research novelty was obtained based on a combination of group communication attributed to economic empowerment.
