Abstract

This study investigates the responses of Indonesian and Spanish students to the use of interactive mathematics comics in their education. The research aims to see the practicality of these comics on student engagement, comprehension, and retention of mathematical concepts across different cultural contexts. Using a quantitative approach, the study analyzes data through normality and homogeneity tests to ensure the reliability and consistency of responses. Results show that Indonesian and Spanish students respond positively to interactive mathematics comics, demonstrating increased motivation and interest. However, cultural differences significantly influence the perception of specific indicators such as content quality, technical quality, and language usage. Indonesian students, who are generally accustomed to traditional teaching methods, found the comics engaging and helpful in understanding complex concepts. On the other hand, Spanish students, who are more familiar with interactive and student-centered learning, showed mixed responses depending on their educational experiences and expectations. Despite these differences, both groups recognized the value of interactive comics as a supplementary educational tool. Future research could explore a larger and more diverse sample size, including longitudinal studies to assess the sustained impact of such tools and further investigate the integration of other multimedia elements like augmented reality to enhance interactivity. From these results, the Mathematics Comic on Cartesian coordinates material developed is practical and can be used in mathematics learning. This is because the Mathematics Comic on Cartesian coordinates material received a good response, and students hope that learning mathematics will be more fun and effective.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of the EnveMath mathematics learning application to improve students' critical thinking skills and learning interests. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The data used in this study is data obtained from student response questionnaires. The sample technique used is purposive sampling where the class with the lowest average Final Semester Assessment (PAS) is used as a large-scale trial class, while the class with the highest average Final Semester Assessment (PAS) is used as a small-scale trial class.  The sample used was class VIII C as many as 34 students as a large-scale trial and class VIII B as many as 17 students as a small class trial. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire that contains statement items including usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative data analysis technique. The results showed that the response of students in the small-scale trial was in the good category with an average of 112.4 and in the large-scale trial was in the good category with an average of 114.3. Thus, it can be concluded that the EnveMath learning application as a mathematics learning medium has received a positive response from students and is practically used as a mathematics learning medium.

Abstract

Abstract

For teachers, digital literacy is an important ability and skill to master. One form of digital literacy that is increasingly relevant is the ability to make animated videos. However, many teachers may not yet have the skills in using Plotagon or making animated videos in general. Therefore, special training is needed to improve the digital literacy of teachers at Dharma Amiruhur High School, especially in terms of making Plotagon-assisted animation videos. This service was carried out by a team of service from Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, the service partner is SMA Dharma Amiluhur with participants being teachers at SMA Dharma Amiluhur totaling 12 people. The approach used is an active participation, activity orientation, program, and independence approach. The results of the service show that the implementation also shows that the success of the implementation of the service. The success can also be seen from the average results obtained showing that ?80% of participants have knowledge and understanding related to Plotagon animation videos. This service made the teachers of SMA Dharma Amiluhur as participants helped in the implementation of learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how students respond to the use of mastery-based electronic mathematics learning modules. This quantitative descriptive study examines the level of student satisfaction when learning mathematics with mastery-based electronic modules. The data to be used comes from student response questionnaires. This study involved 36 students from SMA Negeri 1 Seyegan who were in class X.E4. The data collection method used a questionnaire containing statement items. These statements cover four assessment components: suitability to the mastery learning approach, interest, material and presentation, and use of language. The results showed that student responses in large-scale tests were categorized as "Very Good" with an average of 71.97, and in small-scale tests were categorized as "Good" with an average of 69.55. Therefore, it can be concluded that mastery-based electronic learning modules have a positive response from students as a learning medium. This module can also be used practically to teach mathematics.
