Abstract

This study investigates the responses of Indonesian and Spanish students to the use of interactive mathematics comics in their education. The research aims to see the practicality of these comics on student engagement, comprehension, and retention of mathematical concepts across different cultural contexts. Using a quantitative approach, the study analyzes data through normality and homogeneity tests to ensure the reliability and consistency of responses. Results show that Indonesian and Spanish students respond positively to interactive mathematics comics, demonstrating increased motivation and interest. However, cultural differences significantly influence the perception of specific indicators such as content quality, technical quality, and language usage. Indonesian students, who are generally accustomed to traditional teaching methods, found the comics engaging and helpful in understanding complex concepts. On the other hand, Spanish students, who are more familiar with interactive and student-centered learning, showed mixed responses depending on their educational experiences and expectations. Despite these differences, both groups recognized the value of interactive comics as a supplementary educational tool. Future research could explore a larger and more diverse sample size, including longitudinal studies to assess the sustained impact of such tools and further investigate the integration of other multimedia elements like augmented reality to enhance interactivity. From these results, the Mathematics Comic on Cartesian coordinates material developed is practical and can be used in mathematics learning. This is because the Mathematics Comic on Cartesian coordinates material received a good response, and students hope that learning mathematics will be more fun and effective.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar matematika mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dan Sampel dalam penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling, yaitu seluruh mahasiswa Pendidikan matematika, FKIP Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket perhatian orang tua yang telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan reliabel dan IPK mahasiswa calon guru. Analisis data yang dilakukan terdiri dari uji prasyarat analisis, dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) nilai sig. 0,456 > sig. 0,05 maka H0 diterima, jadi perhatian orang tua tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika mahasiswa calon guru (2) nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,018, yang berarti bahwa perhatian orang tua hanya mempengaruhi prestasi belajar sebesar 1,8%. Sehingga 98.2% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti. Selain itu diketahui model persamaan regresinya adalah Y = 3,934 + (-0,005) X. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa variabel perhatian orang tua tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa calon guru, sehingga masih banyak faktor lain yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang. Populasi semua siswa kelas 11 Multimedia dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 20 siswa. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini diperoleh menggunakan teknik sample random sampling. Instrument yang digunakan adalah angket motivasi belajar dan nilai UTS matematika siswa yang telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan reliable. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji prasyarat analisis dan uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) nilai Sig. 0.025<Sig.0.05 sehingga H0 ditolak, artinya terdapat pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa; (2) nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) 0,249, hal ini berarti motivasi belajar berpengaruh besar 24.9% terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, sedangkan 75.1% di pengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak di teliti; dan (3) nilai standardized coefficientz beta sebesar 0.499 yang berarti motivasi belajar memiliki hubungan yang positif dan kuat terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi motivasi belajar siswa maka prestasi belajar matematika yang diperoleh semakin bagus. Selain itu, diketahui pula model persamaan regresinya adalah Y = 60.348 + 0.356X.Model ini berarti jika tidak ada motivasi maka prestasi belajar matematika konsisten di angka 60.438.Sedangkan kenaikan 25% motivasi belajar maka prestasi belajar matematika siswa meningkat sebesar 0.356.

Abstract

Dunia saat ini sudah memasuki masa modern, dimana teknologi semakin maju dan berkembang. Dengan Perkembangan Teknologi yang semakin meningkat pesat, menyebabkan manusia menjadi lebih malas untuk bersosialisasi atau berinteraksi dengan orang lain secara tatap muka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah gadget memiliki pengaruh terhadap interaksi sosial antar sesama manusia dikalangan warga dusun kentingan kalurahan sindumartani pada tahun 2022. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah warga dusun kentingan kalurahan sindumartani tahun 2022 yang aktif menggunakan gadget dengan rentang usia 17-45 tahun sebanyak 366 warga, sedangkan sampel penelitiannya menggunakan teknik slovin sebanyak 191 warga. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuisioner gadget dan interaksi sosial yang telah dimodifikasi oleh peneliti. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan metode campuran (mixed-methods). Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gadget memiliki pengaruh terhadap interaksi sosial warga dusun kentingan kalurahan sindumartani pada tahun 2022. Adapun besar pengaruhnya sebesar 63,8%, sehingga factor lainnya sebanyak 36,2% dipengaruhi oleh variable lain yang tidak diteliti.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan analisis temuan kesulitan belajar matematika materi operasi hitung perkalian pada siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri Tangkisan Kecamatan Kokap Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deksriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan triangulasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pernarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Tangkisan sebagian besar masih kesulitan dalam operasi hitung perkalian yang disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor internal maupun eksternal. Pentingnya dalam mengetahui faktor kesulitan perkalian yang dialami oleh siswa adalah agar kedepannya dapat menjadi perbaikan dan memperdalam kendala yang dirasakan oleh siswa.

Abstract

Realistic mathematics learning by utilizing culture as well as integrating technology can be used as an ideal starting point for learning. This study was intended to develop a mobile learning-based mathematics device with a realistic learning approach in the context of the Tedhak Siten ceremony to improve students' critical thinking skills. This type of research was development research that refers to the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The study used the mobile learning application, the pretest, and post-test questions, in accordance with the expert validation questionnaire, the media expert validation questionnaire (3 experts), and the student response questionnaire from 32 students. The results revealed that the validity aspect obtained a good category from the media and material expert validator. It obtained a good category from the media expert validators and material experts. It turned out that the media expert's score was 58 and the material expert's 192. Both scores were in a Good category, thus the application was declared valid to be used. Furthermore, the practical aspect of students as users obtained a total score of 2055 and was included in the good category. The effectiveness aspect obtained a significant increase in pretest to posttest scores. It was obtained that the increase in the results of the pretest to the results of the posttest was 24.46. Since there is an increase in testing, it can be concluded that the mobile learning developed is effectively used for learning mathematics. Based on the results, mobile learning has met all the product quality criteria, namely valid, practical, and effective. Therefore, mobile learning with a realistic approach to mathematics using the Tedhak Siten ceremony can improve students' critical thinking skills and can be used for learning.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan penalaran matematika siswa SMA Negeri 1 Pengasih dalam rangka persiapan Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer (ANBK). Tahap persiapan dilakukan secara cermat melalui pengurusan perizinan, studi literatur untuk merancang materi yang relevan, serta pemilihan peserta secara acak guna memastikan keberagaman. Materi pelatihan dirancang tidak hanya berfokus pada penyelesaian soal, tetapi juga pada penguasaan strategi penalaran sebagai keterampilan kritis dalam pendidikan berbasis teknologi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama tiga hari dengan pendekatan sistematis. Hari pertama dimulai dengan pretest untuk mengukur kemampuan awal siswa, dilanjutkan dengan diskusi soal-soal geometri serta sesi motivasi untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa. Pada hari kedua, siswa dibagi ke dalam kelompok kecil untuk pembelajaran kolaboratif yang berfokus pada masalah aljabar. Hari ketiga difokuskan pada penguatan topik geometri melalui kerja kelompok dan diakhiri dengan posttest untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan personal secara efektif meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi matematika yang relevan dengan ANBK. Kegiatan ini ditutup dengan pemberian kenang-kenangan dan sambutan motivasi dari kepala sekolah. Inisiatif ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi ANBK serta mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di SMA Negeri 1 Pengasih.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential skills in the 21st century. With the development of ICT, critical thinking skills can be integrated with learning applications. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of using the EnveMath learning application to improve students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is an experimental research with a pretest posttest control group design. The population used in this study is grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. The sample in this study is class VIII C as an experimental class and class VIII D as a control class with each class totaling 34 students. The data collection technique uses interviews, observations, and critical thinking test questions on opportunity materials. The results of the study show that the use of the EnveMath learning application is effective in improving critical thinking skills. This is because the EnveMath learning application guides students in analyzing mathematical problems logically and systematically through critical thinking indicators presented in the application. This is supported by the results of the statistical data test which is based on the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test test from the experimental class and the control class has a sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, the Mann-Whitney U Test has a sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 which means that the use of the EnveMath learning application in the classroom is more effective than the class that does not use the EnveMath learning application. Then, the mean difference test shows that the average increase in the experimental class is greater than the average increase in the control class (49.26 > 25.41). Thus, the use of the EnveMath learning application during learning Mathematics is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) study that aims to identify and analyze the development of Augmented Reality (AR)-based electronic Student Worksheets (e-LKPD) in enhancing students’ creative thinking skills and interest in learning mathematics. The SLR method was employed to compile a synthesis of 15 peer-reviewed scientific articles published between 2018 and 2025. The articles were obtained through systematic searches using tailored keywords on academic databases such as Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar. The findings from the review indicate that AR-based e-LKPD has a significant positive impact on improving both students’ creative thinking and their motivation to learn mathematics. AR technology has been shown to effectively deliver learning content in a more visual, interactive, and contextual format, which enhances students’ active participation in the learning process. Through 3D visualization and immersive, real-world-like learning experiences, students become more interested and engaged, and are motivated to explore mathematical concepts independently. These findings suggest that AR-based interactive learning media can serve as an innovative solution to meet the demands of 21st-century education, particularly in STEM-related fields. This study provides a strong theoretical foundation for educators, instructional designers, and media developers in integrating AR into mathematics education. It underscores the importance of combining pedagogy and technology to create engaging, meaningful, and student-centered learning experiences that foster creativity and deeper understanding.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy and digital literacy are two essential competencies that need to be developed in mathematics learning in the digital era. However, field evidence shows that both skills remain relatively low among Indonesian students. While various studies have explored the development of digital learning media to enhance one of these two aspects, there is still a limited number of studies that specifically integrate both into a single learning medium supported by interactive platforms such as iSpring. This study aims to review previous research findings through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on the development of iSpring-assisted mathematics learning media in improving students’ numeracy and digital literacy skills. Data were collected from 24 selected relevant articles published between 2018 and 2024. Considering the limited findings that directly address the use of iSpring in this context, the study seeks to identify the extent to which iSpring-based learning media is valid and effective in supporting the enhancement of numeracy and digital literacy.
