Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the strategy for controlling student mutations at the Darussalam Blokagung Islamic Boarding School, Banyuwangi. The research method uses descriptive qualitative, data collection through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data using triargulation of sources, methods and observers. The results showed that: (1) planning a strategy for controlling student mutations, namely formulating standard student mutations based on vision and mission, analyzing data on student mutations, forming a Department for controlling student mutations, conducting outreach to students and guardians of students (2) Implementation of strategies for controlling student mutations, namely the obligation of the santri to fulfill the procedure for transferring students which involves the caretakers of the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, cooperation between the students, the guardians of the students, the pesantren administrators and the Department for transferring students. (3) Evaluation of the strategy for controlling student mutations, where there is supervision between caregivers and pesantren administrators, improving the quality of students' abilities and evaluating the results of students' abilities, forming accountability reports on student mutation control data at the Darussalam Blokagung Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

The madrasa committee has an important role and function in building a culture of quality at MAN 2 Banyuwangi. The superior quality of MAN 2 Banyuwangi is the main target in madrasa management. This research aims to: (1) analyze the role and function of the madrasa committee in building a quality culture at MAN 2 Banyuwangi, (2) analyze the appropriate strategy for the madrasa committee to implement in building a quality culture at MAN 2 Banyuwangi, (3). identify the obstacles faced by the madrasa committee in building a culture of quality at MAN 2 Banyuwangi. This research includes field research using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis uses Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis which consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research: (1) the role and function of the committee in building quality is to be a controller, a mediator, and a manager of donations. (2) Strategy for building a quality culture at MAN 2 Banyuwangi, the committee team created 6 strategies, namely: utilizing committee figures, building networks, collaborating with community leaders, building public trust, branding image and regular meetings. (3) The obstacle for madrasah committees in building a quality culture is the different paradigms of each HR party which influence the performance of the committee, the awareness of committee members and the busyness of each member so that there is less focus on performance.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the characteristics of transformative leadership by a Kyai at a pesantren-based campus, specifically at Universitas Nurul Jadid (UNUJA) in Paiton, Probolinggo. This qualitative research utilizes a case study methodology. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The data analysis process involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study is grounded in Bernard M. Bass's theory of transformational leadership and Michael Armstrong's performance theory. The results indicate that Kyai Abdul Hamid Wahid, as the rector of Universitas Nurul Jadid, implements transformative leadership in several ways: 1) as an Agent of Change, he transformed IAI Nurul Jadid, STT Nurul Jadid, and STIKES Nurul Jadid into Universitas Nurul Jadid; 2) as a Master Planner, he formulated the milestones for Universitas Nurul Jadid as an international Islamic university.

Abstract

Visionary leadership is characterized by leaders who possess a clear vision to achieve the organization's goals. This study is motivated by the current developments that demand school leaders to innovate and advance to compete with other educational institutions. The aim of this research is to explore the development of quality management at MTs Al-Furqon Pasir Sakti through the visionary leadership style of the school principal. This involves the creation, formulation, and implementation of the school vision, with the principal's role being pivotal. The objective is to become visionary leaders to advance the school and achieve high quality standards. This qualitative descriptive research involved the school principal, vice principals, teachers, and students. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis involved reviewing all data, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that the principal's visionary leadership in developing quality management at MTs Al-Furqon Pasir Sakti focuses on quality functions and management processes including planning, organizing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating. The steps in visionary leadership include: (1) Creating the school's vision and mission based on its ideals and contextual situation, (2) Formulating a unique and unprecedented vision, socializing the principal's ideas, and gathering feedback from all members, (3) Guiding and motivating the principal to realize the vision through concrete actions, and (4) Enhancing student capabilities and improving school quality. Consequently, MTs Al-Furqon Pasir Sakti has an excellent class program designed by the principal, taking into account the unique talents of the students.

Abstract

The character of santri is one of the objectives of implementing educational supervision in Islamic boarding school education units. The aim of this research is to analyze and interpret the implementation of educational supervision in forming the character of santri in the educational unit at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Blokagung Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia. This research approach method uses a qualitative case study with key informants, the Head of education and teaching and members of the quality assurance unit using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The research results show that the character of santri who require continuous coaching is related to increased behavior, responsibility, honesty, discipline, thriftiness, caring and independence. Implementing supervision of santri character education as an evaluation of the implementation of institutional quality assurance by continuing to improve coordination, communication and collaboration in handling student problems. Integrated development that is controlled through standard operating procedures as an evaluation of the results of monitoring the character of santri and improving governance can be an effort to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Pesantren are currently in the international spotlight because they have succeeded in surviving in the era of disruption by remaining focused on tafaqquh fid-din education and strengthening morals which are their characteristics, so that many western researchers are interested in conducting research at pesantren. Hidden curriculum does not hinder the success of pesantren in achieving their educational goals, so that currently non-pesantren educational institutions are adopting the superior values ​​of pesantren, including their learning methods and systems. The aim of this research is to find the superior values ​​of pesantren in educational opportunities and challenges in the era of disruption. The research method is qualitative, the type is a case study, the analysis is interactive with three models. The results of his research show that the Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung has superior values ​​which can currently be competitive with non-pesantren educational institutions, namely moderate integration of education, innovation of non-initial education into formal education and strengthening of early education through ma'had aly in balance with general education. whose quality is in line with its quantity as the largest pesantren, madrasah and campus in Banyuwangi district. Keywords: Superiority, Pesantren, Disruption era Abstrak: Pesantren saat ini menjadi sorotan dunia internasional karena berhasil survive di era disrupsi dengan tetap fokus pada pendidikan tafaqquh fid-din dan penguatan moral yang menjadi distingsinya, sehingga banyak peneliti barat tertarik melakukan penelitian di pesantren. Hidden curriculum tidak menghalangi keberhasilan pesantren mencapai tujuan pendidikannya sehingga saat ini justru lembaga pendidikan non pesantren melakukan adopsi nilai-nilai keunggulan pesantren, termasuk metode dan sistem pembelajrannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan nilai-nilai keunggulan pesantren dalam peluang dan tantangan pendidikan di era disrupsi. Metode penelitiannya kualitatif, jenisnya studi kasus, analisisnya interaktif tiga model. Hasil penelitiannya menunjukkan bahwa Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung memiliki nilai-nilai keunggulan yang saat ini dapat menjadi daya saing dengan lembaga pendidikan non pesantren yaitu integrasi pendidikan yang moderat, inovasi pendidikan non diniyah menjadi pendidikan formal serta penguatan pendidikan diniyah melalui ma’had aly seimbang dengan pendidikan umum yang kualitasnya sejalan dengan kuantitasnya sebagai sekolah, madrasah dan kampus berbasis pesantren terbesar di kabupaten Banyuwangi. Abstract

Strategi manajemen kepala sekolah memiliki fungsi penting dalam meminimalisir terjadinya konflik serta meningkatkan peluang keberhasilan tujuan sekolah melalui pengendalian konflik pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis identifikasi potensi konflik, klasifikasi potensi konflik dan strategi manajemen kepala sekolah dalam mengelola konflik pendidikan. Pendekatan penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Adapun lokasi penelitian ini adalah di SMP Roudlotussalam Watukebo Blimbingsari Banyuwangi. Informan kunci dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru bimbingan konseling, wakil kepala bidang kesiswaan dan komite. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Untuk menguji kredibilitas data maka peneliti melakukan triangulasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles, Huberman dan Saldana yaitu kondensi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini (1) identifikasi konflik dengan observasi, laporan dan interaksi langsung, (2) mengklasifikasi potensi konflik serius atau tidak, perlu penanganan serius atau tidak, bertujuan untuk mencari solusi dan strategi tepat, (3) manajemen strategi kepala sekolah melalui:  Pertama, perencanaan analisis setiap bulan melalui rapat dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru bimbingan konseling, wakil kepala bidang kesiswaan dan komite. Kedua, penyelesaian konflik dengan musyawarah melibatkan mediator (komite). Ketiga, evaluasi konflik melalui rapat setiap bulan untuk menyelesaikan dan mengantisipasi konflik dengan melibatkan pihak terkait.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to provide sustainable solutions in adaptation strategies in Islamic education management in dealing with social controversies. This study is based on the importance of adaptive management in improving the quality of education from social and technological progress. With a research design using qualitative methods and a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews with several informants, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used the Milles and Hubarman model, namely an interactive model including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that inclusive curriculum is designed to accommodate social and cultural diversity. Digital technology is used to enrich students' learning experiences, provide wider access to educational resources, and enable a more flexible and adaptive learning process. The application of a continuous evaluation model ensures that the assessment of the quality of education is carried out continuously by involving various school communities. These findings emphasize the importance of adapting inclusive and technology-based education strategies to ensure the relevance and quality of education amidst ever-evolving social dynamics.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of an Educational Management Information System (EMIS) in improving the quality of education at SPM Muadalah Ulya Darussalam - Blokagung, Banyuwangi. The Educational Management Information System, known in English as the Management Information System (MIS), is a control over business that includes the empowerment of people, files, technology, and procedures by management accounting to solve business problems. In the field of education, the Educational Management Information System (EMIS) is very necessary as Indonesia has entered the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, thus requiring the management of school information related to payments, activity status, attendance, and new student admissions. There are several supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of EMIS at SPM Ulya, including the availability of information system facilities and challenges in human resources as well as technical errors.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to find an entrepreneurial campus model that can support independence and human resource development and analyze campus opportunities and challenges in the era of society 5.0 in actualizing empowerment assets. Using descriptive research and a qualitative approach as well as a post-positive paradigm, supported by primary and secondary data sources at IAI Darussalam Blokagung, the largest pesantren-based campus in Banyuwangi district which has a business incubator. The data collection technique uses in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. The data validity checking technique uses triangulation and data analysis uses three interactive models. The results of the research show that IAI Darussalam Blokagung has a canteen, plantation and livestock business which provides educational operational needs, so that it can be a model for developing Islamic boarding school-based libraries which are required to be independent in developing human resources. Meanwhile, IAI Darussalam Blokagung has proven capable of seizing opportunities in the actualization of entrepreneurial campuses by continuing to innovate in the canteen as one of its business incubators by making bread, mineral water and grass jelly tea consumed daily and event important, showing its success in placing human resources as assets important in developing campus quality
