Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Cooperative Learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type and the use of quartet card media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in science (IPAS) subjects, both partially and simultaneously. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The study population included all fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Gugus 01, Panggungrejo District, in the 2025/2026 academic year, totaling 120 students, with a sampling technique using total sampling. The experimental group consisted of 60 students who received treatment with the TGT model assisted by quartet card media, and the control group consisted of 60 students who received conventional learning. The data collection instrument was an IPAS learning outcome test that had been tested for validity (r 0.361) and reliability (KR-20 = 0.901). Data analysis techniques used inferential statistical tests, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, linear regression tests, and hypothesis tests with the help of SPSS 25. The results showed that (1) the TGT learning model had a significant effect on science learning outcomes with a regression coefficient of 1.546 and a significance value of 0.000 (0.05); (2) the use of quartet card media had a significant effect on science learning outcomes with a regression coefficient of 0.370 and a significance value of 0.000 (0.05); (3) simultaneously, the TGT learning model and the use of quartet card media had a significant effect on science learning outcomes with a calculated F value of 48.674 (p=0.000) and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.631, which means that both variables contributed 63.1% to science learning outcomes. The findings of this study prove that the application of a game-based cooperative learning model supported by interesting learning media can increase student involvement and science-learning outcomes. Therefore, the TGT learning model assisted by quartet card media is recommended as an alternative science learning strategy for elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Jigsaw learning model on Social Sciences (IPS) learning outcomes reviewed from the motivation and learning facilities of elementary school students. The approach used is quantitative with the type of explanatory research. The research population included 80 grade IV students of SDN Cluster IV, Gading District, Probolinggo Regency. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests and motivation questionnaires as well as learning facilities using the Likert scale. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression to determine simultaneous and partial influences between variables. The results showed that the Jigsaw learning model, learning motivation, and learning facilities had a significant effect on social studies learning outcomes of students. The determination coefficient of 0.682 indicates that 68.2% of the variation in learning outcomes is explained by these three variables. Students who have high motivation and are supported by adequate learning facilities show better improvement in learning outcomes after the implementation of the Jigsaw model. These findings prove that the Jigsaw model is effectively applied in social studies learning because it encourages active engagement, individual responsibility, and group cooperation. This study recommends that teachers implement a cooperative learning model consistently with the support of adequate facilities to improve the quality of social studies learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning the topic “social interaction in daily life” by teachers at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Bungi in the 2025/2026 academic year. A qualitative approach was employed to examine the challenges faced by teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in social studies learning. The research subjects included the social studies teacher, the vice principal as managerial support, and fifth-grade students actively participating in the learning process. The findings indicate that lesson planning focused on student-centered learning with contextual themes, learning objectives based on Learning Outcomes, and differentiation through project-based learning. The implementation was interactive and contextual, using projects, group discussions, and problem-based learning, while utilizing local learning resources. Evaluation applied a holistic assessment combining formative, summative, and authentic approaches through portfolios, projects, reflections, and observations, supported by constructive feedback to enhance students’ competencies in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum principles.

Abstract

Geography learning at the high school level often faces challenges in attracting students' interest in learning. Along with technological advancements, teachers are required to be more creative and innovative in delivering material so that it is easy to understand and attract students' interest. This research aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR) applications as an innovative learning medium to increase students' interest in learning in geography subjects. The method uses the Research and Development (R&D) model of Borg and Gall. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study show that AR applications significantly increase students' interest in learning. Visualization of 3D models such as Characteristics of the Earth's Layer, helps students understand abstract geographical concepts. The conclusion is that Augmented Reality (AR) has great potential as an innovative learning medium for geography, because it increases students' interest and understanding.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of students’ learning styles and learning motivation on the effectiveness of differentiated Geography learning at SMA Negeri 3 Halmahera Utara. This study is based on the importance of differentiated learning in accommodating students’ learning characteristics in the context of an archipelago with diverse geographical conditions. A quantitative approach with an explanatory method was used involving 61 students. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire through validity and reliability tests. Data analysis used a t-test. The results showed that learning styles have a significant influence on the effectiveness of differentiated learning, with a t-value of 10.786 and a learning motivation t-value of 7.228, with a coefficient of determination of 47.0%. These findings confirm that differentiated learning based on student characteristics and local environmental conditions increases student engagement, learning effectiveness, and contextual relevance in Geography education.
