Abstract

This study examined the effects of employee motivation and transformational leadership on employee performance at the Agriculture Office of Mesuji Regency, Indonesia. It addressed the challenges in human resource management that affect institutional targets and the implementation of agricultural development programs. This study employed a quantitative design using a structured survey of 50 purposively selected employees at the Agriculture Office and applied multiple linear regression to examine the relationships between motivation, transformational leadership, and employee performance. The findings showed that both motivation and transformational leadership positively affected employee performance, with motivation having a stronger impact. Improving employee motivation and transformational leadership are essential to enhance performance at the Mesuji Agriculture Office, supporting effective human resource management, successful agricultural programs, and regional economic growth. The cross-sectional design of this study limits the ability to observe changes over time. Additionally, the focus on a single regional institution may restrict generalizability. The reliance on self-reported data may also introduce perceptual bias. This study provided empirical evidence from a regional government context, highlighting how motivation and transformational leadership influenced employee performance and offering practical recommendations for improving pension services.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the effect of brand image and price on the purchasing decisions of Shopee Indonesia customers. This type of research is quantitative. The number of samples in this study amounted to 107 respondents with a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Respondents in this study were students of management class 20 at the University of Bandar Lampung. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that brand image has a significant influence on purchasing decisions, then price has a significant influence on purchasing decisions, and brand image and price together have a significant influence on purchasing decisions.  Keywords: Brand Image; Price; Purchase Decision

Abstract

Consumer satisfaction in Islamic economic perspective is not merely measured by the fulfillment of consumer expectations, but also by compliance with Islamic ethical values and the achievement of public benefit (maṣlaḥah). This article aims to examine consumer satisfaction through a literature review by integrating product quality and service quality within the framework of Islamic economics. The study emphasizes key Islamic principles such as ṣidq (honesty), amānah (trustworthiness), and ‘adl (justice) in service delivery, as well as the concept of halālan ṭayyiban in product quality. Furthermore, consumer satisfaction is analyzed using the perspective of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah to ensure that business practices contribute to the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. The findings indicate that product quality and service quality significantly influence consumer satisfaction when they are aligned with Islamic ethical values and normative principles. This study contributes theoretically by enriching the discourse of consumer satisfaction in Islamic economics and practically by offering ethical guidelines for business practices in sharia-compliant institutions.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dari variabel independen, yaitu Motivasi (X1) dan Soft Skills (X2), terhadap variabel dependen, yaitu Kesiapan Kerja (Y), baik secara simultan maupun parsial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada studi ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan survei sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Populasi yang diteliti terdiri dari mahasiswa Manajemen angkatan 2021–2024 di Universitas Bandar Lampung, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 88 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik Motivasi maupun Soft Skills secara bersama-sama memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kesiapan Kerja, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh nilai Fhitung sebesar 103,278 yang lebih besar dari Ftabel (3,06) dan tingkat signifikansi (0,000) yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Berdasarkan analisis Koefisien Determinasi (R²), kontribusi variabel Motivasi (X1) dan Soft Skills (X2) terhadap Kesiapan Kerja (Y) mencapai 43,8%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel tersebut memiliki peranan penting dalam meningkatkan kesiapan mahasiswa untuk memasuki dunia kerja yang kompetitif, adaptif, inovatif, dan berbasis keterampilan multidimensional.

Abstract

  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas kehidupan kerja dan stres kerja terhadap transformasi strategi manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) di Rumah Kerupuk Arumi 157 Lampung. Manajemen SDM bertugas mengawasi tenaga kerja dalam suatu organisasi. Fokus utama dari bidang ini adalah untuk memastikan bahwa karyawan secara konsisten meningkatkan kinerja mereka. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan survei kuesioner dengan 60 karyawan sebagai sampel. Data dianalisis melalui SPSS versi 25 dengan serangkaian uji, termasuk uji validitas, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, regresi linier berganda, serta uji t dan F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,583 atau 58,3%, yang menandakan bahwa transformasi strategi manajemen SDM dipengaruhi oleh kedua variabel tersebut. Uji simultan menghasilkan Fhitung sebesar 39,864, yang lebih besar dari Ftabel 3,16, menunjukkan bahwa kualitas kehidupan kerja dan stres kerja memiliki korelasi serta pengaruh signifikan terhadap transformasi strategi manajemen SDM, dengan kontribusi sebesar 58,3%. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi pengembangan strategi manajemen SDM yang efektif.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Emotional Intelligence and workload on the desire to change jobs (turnover) among employees in the package delivery service section at J&T Express Way Kandis, Bandar Lampung. This research used a saturated sampling strategy, meaning that fifty respondents were taken from the entire population who could potentially become participants. The data collection method used is through distributing questionnaires and using primary and secondary data. The data analysis carried out included instrument testing and the analysis used was classical assumption testing using SPSS Version 30. This research model meets the requirements for classical assumption testing, including the absence of heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity, as well as normality assumptions. Both emotional intelligence and workload are characteristics that influence the desire to leave the organization, according to the findings of the partial test (t test). Simultaneously, it is revealed that both emotional intelligence and workload influence the desire to change jobs. This research shows that emotional intelligence and workload influence the desire to change jobs. Companies can manage employee emotions and workload in a balanced way to increase retention and create a comfortable work environment.

Abstract

This research aims to explore how strategic collaboration and intellectual capital can improve higher education performance and achieve competitive advantage. The main objective of this study is to identify the relationship between strategic collaboration, intellectual capital, and the performance of higher education institutions, as well as how these three elements can be used synergistically to achieve competitive advantage. The research method used is a quantitative approach with the population of all private universities (PTS) in the LLDikti II Region, which totals 197 private universities. The data analysis technique uses the Structural Equation Models (SEM) approach with the help of the SmartPLS program package. The results of the study show that strategic collaboration has a positive and significant impact on higher education performance. In addition, intellectual capital was also found to contribute significantly to improving the performance of the institution. The combination of strategic collaboration and intellectual capital resulted in a greater improvement in higher education performance compared to each element separately. These results show that institutions that adopt a collaborative approach and manage their intellectual capital will tend to have better performance and are able to compete more effectively in the global education market. Based on these findings, the study recommends that higher education institutions should increase their collaborative efforts, both inside and outside the institution, as well as invest in the development and management of intellectual capital.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job stress and workload, both partially and simultaneously, on cyberloafing among Gen Z employees in Bandar Lampung. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires distributed to 100 selected Gen Z employees in Bandar Lampung. The questionnaire consisted of 30 items with a 5-point Likert scale. The sampling method used in this study was probability sampling with the Lemeshow formula. Data analysis techniques used in this study included descriptive analysis, validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination testing, all processed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 software. The results showed that work stress and workload had a positive and significant effect on cyberloafing, both partially and simultaneously. These findings indicate that the higher the level of work stress and workload experienced by Generation Z employees, the higher their tendency to engage in cyberloafing behavior in the workplace.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan guna menelaah tingkat pengaruh store atmosphere atau suasana tempat, serta mutu pelayanan terhadap kepuasan pengunjung di Maco Cafe and Eatery yang berlokasi di Bandar Lampung. Pendekatan yang dipakai bersifat kuantitatif, dengan melibatkan 100 responden yang ditentukan melalui perhitungan Lemeshow. Instrument data penelitian diperoleh dari responden melalui kuesioner yang memanfaatkan skala Likert untuk mengukur variabel yang diteliti, sementara data penelitian diolah melalui aplikasi SPSS untuk mempermudah analisis statistik. Tahapan analisis meliputi uji keabsahan, uji konsistensi, analisis regresi ganda, serta pengujian pengaruh variabel menggunakan uji t dan f. Hasil pengolahan data memperlihatkan bahwa suasana tempat seperti kebersihan, pencahayaan, kenyamanan, dan penataan ruang memberikan pengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan. Tidak hanya itu, mutu pelayanan mencakup aspek-aspek seperti sikap ramah staf, kecepatan dalam penyampaian layanan, kompetensi serta kemampuan staf dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan juga terbukti memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan. Model regresi menunjukkan nilai koefisien determinasi (R² = 0,683) menandakan bahwa gabungan variabel Store Atmosphere dan Kualitas Layanan berkontribusi menjelaskan 68,3% variasi kepuasan pelanggan, sementara sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar model. Selain itu, kedua variabel terbukti berpengaruh signifikan (p < 0,001) terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Temuan yang diperoleh menunjukkan dengan jelas bahwa untuk meningkatkan kepuasan dan loyalitas pelanggan, pemilik usaha perlu memperhatikan aspek fisik kafe serta kualitas interaksi layanan yang diberikan kepada konsumen.
