Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of motivation and rewards for Jakarta Regional Training (Pelatda) Muay Thai athletes who won medals at PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024. Athletic performance depends not only on physical and technical abilities but is also influenced by psychological factors including motivation and reward systems. The research employed a qualitative approach with case study design, involving four informants representing all medal-winning athletes (1 silver, 2 bronze) through total sampling technique. Findings reveal the dominance of intrinsic motivation (77%) over extrinsic motivation (23%), with consistency and motivation maintenance strategies as the most critical aspects. Results validate Self-Determination Theory in the Indonesian athlete context and support Achievement Goal Theory with task orientation dominance complemented by ego orientation in national competitions. Jakarta’s reward system successfully creates a supporting environment that fulfills athletes’ autonomy, competence, and relatedness needs. Recommendations include optimizing intrinsic rewards through self-development programs, enhancing more competitive extrinsic reward systems, strengthening performance supporting factors, and developing sustainable reward policies focused on long-term development processes. Further research is recommended using longitudinal and mixed-method approaches with sample expansion to other martial arts sports.

There is an increasing trend of sustainable healthy lifestyles and strong industrial potential amid a pandemic. To seize this opportunity, health companies need to increase their production capacity, and ultimately the company needs capital for its operations. Thus, it is necessary to analyze the optimal capital structure to reduce so that the company can maximize its value of the company. This study aims to analyze the company's cost of capital and analyze the optimal capital structure of the company in the pharmaceutical industry on the Sharia Stock List (DES), which is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for 2017-2019 period. The analysis was carried out by calculating the WACC, then comparing the average industrial WACC with the average value of the pharmaceutical industry companies so that they could analyze the capital structure optimally for each issuer. Calculation using Microsoft Excel 2016. The average industrial issuer was dominated by the capital structure originating from equity. In addition, the calculation of the industrial average WACC and the average value of industrial companies is 8.00% and Rp. 374,302,- (in Millions of Rupiah) where KLBF is a pharmaceutical issuer that has an optimal capital structure, namely WACC below the industry average and company value above the industry average. There is company management that is more careful and careful in determining the company's capital structure, even for working capital and or for investment, so that an optimal combination is achieved and can increase company value and reduce company risk.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship training has been widely recognized as an effective strategy to enhance the economic empowerment of housewives, particularly in the context of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to examine the effect of entrepreneurship training on the economic independence of housewives, with MSME strategies as a mediating variable and socio-economic factors as a moderating variable. The research sample consisted of 133 housewives engaged in MSMEs and residing in Kembangan District. A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was employed to analyze both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The results indicate that entrepreneurship training does not have a direct effect on economic independence. However, it significantly influences MSME strategies, which subsequently contribute positively to economic independence. This confirms the role of MSME strategies as an important mediator linking entrepreneurship training to economic outcomes. In addition, socio-economic factors were found to have a direct effect on economic independence, but they did not function effectively as moderating variables. These findings underscore that entrepreneurship training alone is insufficient to economically empower housewives. Its effectiveness depends on the implementation of appropriate MSME strategies. The study highlights the importance of strengthening MSME development as a strategic pathway to enhance the economic independence of housewives, while recognizing socio-economic conditions as direct determinants rather than moderating influences.

Abstract

This study explores the role of delegation of authority in improving organizational performance within Indonesia’s mining inspection sector, emphasizing its alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8, 9, and 16. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected from 20 key informants through semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis and triangulation ensured the reliability and validity of findings. The results, based on thematic analysis and triangulation, show that structured delegation leads to a 30% increase in decision-making efficiency and a 25% improvement in accountability, measured by response times, compliance rates, and inspector collaboration. Specifically, mining inspectors reported faster response times, higher compliance rates, and stronger collaboration across administrative levels. The study addresses a critical research gap by linking delegation practices with sustainable governance outcomes in a sector vital to Indonesia’s economy. While the research is context-specific, the findings provide operational insights into how delegation mechanisms contribute to both organizational effectiveness and national development priorities. The paper highlights practical implications for policymakers and organizational leaders, suggesting that delegation should be institutionalized as part of regulatory frameworks to achieve sustainable governance. Limitations include the qualitative scope and restricted sample, but the study offers a robust foundation for future mixed-methods research. By situating delegation of authority within the SDG framework, this study strengthens the relevance of organizational behavior research to global development discourse.

Abstract

The quality of human resources, one of which is determined by the education factor, has a very important strategic role in determining the progress and success of a country. Talking about Indonesia's development, of course, cannot be separated from Indonesian education in the eyes of the world. Education is one of the important factors of the authority of a country. With a good education, of course, it will produce the next generation of people who are smart and competent in their respective fields. So that the state of the country will continue to improve along with the emergence of successors of the state from all walks of life. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of educational curriculum, motivation, and parenting patterns on the Competence of the Banten Shipping Polytechnic Cadets. The research was conducted at the Banten Shipping Polytechnic with a research time of March 2022 to June 2022. The method used is a quantitative analysis approach through data collection techniques using questionnaires. The population studied was the Banten Shipping Polytechnic cadets in 2020, with a sample of 394 respondents. The sampling method used probability sampling with a simple random sampling technique—the method of analysis for hypothesis testing with the help of software SmartPLS 3.2.9. The analysis results show that the educational curriculum, the motivation, and the pattern of caregivers have a positive and significant effect on the competence of the Banten Shipping Polytechnic cadets. The original sample results show the influential factors, where the competence of the cadets is strongly influenced by motivation. Motivation is much influenced by the encouragement of learning needs in the Parenting Pattern. It is concluded that the education curriculum, especially the competency approach, is highly related to the educational curriculum. The highest motivation comes from the need to learn, which means cadets are motivated by the need to learn. The pattern of caregivers, especially suggestive (the method used to provide encouragement or support in the form of views, suggestions, and advice for a more interactive communicative atmosphere), has a high relationship with the pattern of caregivers.

Abstract

Objectives: analyze the effects of green leadership and green competence on green project management, with environmental awareness as a mediating variable and green organizational culture as a moderating variable at PT Cipta Griya Semesta. Methodology: Quantitative, causality design. Population: employees of PT Cipta Griya Semesta; sample: 125 purposively selected respondents (permanent and contract employees directly involved in projects). Analysis used SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 4.0 Finding: Six of eight hypotheses were supported. Green leadership and green competence had positive and significant direct effects on green project management and also significantly affected environmental awareness. Environmental awareness positively influenced green project management and mediated the relationship between green leadership and green project management (H6 accepted). However, environmental awareness did not mediate the effect of green competence on green project management (H7 rejected). Green organizational culture did not moderate the relationship between environmental awareness and green project management (H8 rejected). Conclusion: Green competence appears to improve project outcomes directly without relying on environmental awareness as an intermediary, while green organizational culture functions as an independent predictor rather than a moderator.
