Abstract

The banking sector is vital to sustainable development, yet integrating sustainability into banking strategies remains challenging, particularly in developing countries with limited resources. This study systematically reviews key strategic factors driving banking sustainability and the challenges and opportunities specific to emerging markets. The PRISMA protocol collected articles from Scopus and Web of Science (1990–2024), providing 98 content-analysis articles. The findings reveal an increasing focus on banking sustainability after adopting the UN Responsible Banking Principles in 2019. Content analysis identified six main strategic factors: organisational capital, bank specialisation capability, innovative technology capability, market capability, institutional capability, and ESG capability. These insights offer valuable guidance for bankers, policymakers, and researchers in shaping sustainable banking strategies. While limited to literature-based data, this study provides a foundation for future empirical research and context-specific applications.

Abstract

This study presents a systematic literature review on the impact of culture on digital marketing, addressing a crucial gap in understanding how cultural differences shape consumer interactions with brands. Given the increasing globalization of markets and the diverse cultural backgrounds of consumers, understanding culture’s impact on marketing is critical for developing effective strategies that resonate across different regions. The study employs the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) model to systematically filter articles indexed by Scopus, utilizing the Publish or Perish tool for initial identification. Out of 1222 articles collected, 62 articles were selected after eliminating those that were not relevant to the research scope. The findings demonstrate that cultural factors significantly influence in digital marketing strategies, consumer behavior, consumer involvement, and the establishment of consumer loyalty. Theoretically, this study expands on existing marketing theories by integrating cultural dimensions into models of consumer behavior and brand engagement, emphasizing the need for culturally adaptive marketing frameworks. Practically, these findings provide marketers with insights into tailoring their strategies to accommodate cultural differences, thereby enhancing brand relevance and fostering long-term consumer loyalty. Additionally, a model framework for a future research agenda is proposed, focusing on integrating cultural variables into marketing decision-making processes. This framework aims to examine specific cultural factors and their impact on marketing at various levels, including strategy formulation, consumer engagement, and loyalty development. By understanding these relationships, marketers can develop more precise strategies that effectively connect with culturally diverse consumer groups, thereby enhancing marketing performance

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of leadership style, work discipline, and work environment on employee performance, with work motivation examined as a moderating variable, in the context of PT Karya Giri Palma, one of the prominent furniture companies in Malang, Indonesia.. The study employed a quantitative approach and involved 110 employees, selected from a total population of 150 using a simple random sampling technique based on the Slovin formula. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that work discipline significantly influences employee performance, whereas leadership style and work environment do not have a statistically significant effect. Additionally, work motivation does not moderate the relationships between the independent variables and employee performance. These findings underscore the critical importance of work discipline in enhancing employee outcomes and offer practical insights for improving human resource strategies in similar manufacturing contexts. The study also contributes to the literature by clarifying the limited moderating role of motivation in performance-related models.

Abstract

This study analyzes Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as voluntary behavior of employees that exceeds formal job requirements among Non-Civil Servant Government Employees (PPNPN) at the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas). The importance of this study is driven by the strategic role of PPNPN in policy formulation and national development planning; however, their non-civil servant status may influence voluntary work behavior, which is critical for organizational effectiveness. The research was conducted in 2025 with a population of 1,088 PPNPN and used a purposive sample of 190 PPNPN with a Master's degree (S2). The research method employed a quantitative approach with a causal design, data collection through a structured 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis using SmartPLS 4.0 software to test the influence of Career Planning, Compensation, and Organization Climate on OCB with Perceived Organizational Support (POS) as a mediator. The results of the study indicate that Career Planning (t=8.569; p=0.000), Compensation (t=1.985; p=0.020), and Organization Climate (t=2.665; p=0.004) have a significant positive effect on OCB. POS was found to be effective in partially mediating this relationship, although Career Planning does not directly influence POS, it can still influence OCB through POS mediation with an R² value of 0.617, explaining 61.7% of the variation in OCB
