Abstract

Management has an important role in education to carry out activities and programs, institutions or organizations or any project cannot stand alone without management, Stiba Ar-raayah has developed a curriculum and management that is different from other universities in Indonesia, where students have to live in a dormitory for 5 years to maintain an Arabic environment. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach and a qualitative approach, namely the latest picture of management for the Arabic Language Education Study Program in stiba Ar-raayah and its organization. structure and look at the principle principles of its organization. This study aims to describe the management of the organization for the PBA study program in stiba Ar-raayah. The results of this study explain that the management for the PBA study program in stiba Ar-raayah in its principle principles can be detailed: the existence of clear objectives in its vision and mission, program planning is assigned to the person in charge of each division at the beginning of each academic year at the work meeting, delegation of authority in writing with an organizational structure, a wide range of control with the presence of subordinates the many, clear and detailed job descriptions, types of line and staff organizations, as well as the presence of a clear organizational structure, this shows that the organization in Stiba ar-raayah is well structured

Abstract

Abstract This research on the implementation of Total Quality management was conducted at STIBA Ar Raayah and focused on the elements of teamwork, customer focus, and employee involvement and empowerment. This research uses qualitative research descriptive method. Data obtained from document research and interviews with the Director of STIBA Ar Raayah and ten students. The results obtained show that STIBA Ar Raayah applies the TQM concept in improving the quality of education offered. This is characterized by good cooperation in the application of communication with Arabic between lecturers and students, good response from students namely an increase in speaking skills in Arabic in a language environment, proud achievements in Arabic language competitions at national and international levels, and employees feel involved in decision making in the form of regular meetings between lecturers and student activities.

Abstract

The success of implementing a program is affected by the management of that programme. The aim of this research is to 1) describe the implementation of the Omar Smart Brain (OSB) Learning Center Intensive Arabic Language Program, 2) describe the evaluation of this program, and 3) reveal the supporting and hindering factors in it. This research used the qualitative approach of the case study method. Data was described through the results of observation, interview, books, periodicals, media and the international network. The results are: 1) The implementation of this course under the supervision of the teacher and the administrator, with the aim of teaching the Arabic using the Arabiyyah Bayna Yadaik book for mothers and young women by the audio-visual method in two and a half years, 2) The evaluation is by examining each after the completion of two units and after five months, 3) The supporting factors are the quality of the teaching environment, the teacher's competence, the students' enthusiasm and self-confidence, and the obstacles are the weak ability of the students to read and write Arabic, the diverse backgrounds of the students, the teacher jobs, and the presence of the Covid-19 pandemic. In conclusion, the management of the OSB Learning Center Intensive Arabic Course is a good management.

Abstract

Pesantren merupakan model pendidikan asli Indonesia yang telah lama sekali ada di Indonesia. Pesantren merupakan warisan budaya pendidikan zaman Hindu ratusan tahun sebelum masuknya Agama Islam di Nusantara. Setelah menginjak masa modern yang dimulai dengan bergabungnya pendidikan umum dengan pendidikan agama dalam satu sekolah, banyak lembaga pendidikan Islam yang masih menggunakan manajemen model tradisional sedangkan sebagian besar telah berubah menjadi lebih modern. Perbedaan yang mendasar dari tipologi manajemen tradisional dan modern adalah tata kelolanya yang bersifat adaptif dan menyesuaikan terhadap kebutuhan stakeholder pendidikan serta bersifat lebih terbuka dengan masukan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the management of planning and organizing Arabic language learning at Amal Jama'i Islamic Boarding Schools, as well as to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in learning Arabic. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews and observations with descriptive data analysis techniques in accordance with Miles and Huberman's theory. The results of this study show that: 1) The planning management in learning Arabic is carried out by establishing Arabic learning programs, preparing learning materials, and determining relevant learning media, 2) The organizing management in learning Arabic begins with the division of teaching tasks, then the preparation of lesson schedules, as well as the provision of learning facilities, 3) Several supporting factors for learning Arabic include support from the headmaster of the college, the existence of a language division, and the stipulation of Arabic days of the week, while the inhibiting factors are inadequate time allocation, lack of human resources and environmental influences. The results of this study can be used as a reference for Arabic language activist researchers and academics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice questions contained in the textbook "Mahir fi Lughoh Arabiyah" using Bloom's taxonomic approach. This approach is used to evaluate the level of thinking and understanding of students tested through practice questions. The analysis method is carried out by categorizing the problems in the textbook into six levels of Bloom's taxonomy, namely knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. The results of the analysis show that the textbook "Mahir fi Lughoh Arabiyah" has successfully implemented Bloom's taxonomic approach well. The practice questions in the textbook cover different levels of taxonomy, from basic knowledge of Arabic vocabulary and grammar to students' ability to apply and analyze authentic Arabic texts. The study concluded that the textbook "Mahir fi Lughoh Arabiyah" had adopted Bloom's taxonomic approach well in designing practice problems. By covering various levels of taxonomy, this textbook is able to encourage students' thinking and understanding in learning Arabic. The recommendation of this study is the importance of using Bloom's taxonomy in designing practice problems to improve the effectiveness of Arabic learning in higher education.

Abstract

This study seeks to uncover the challenges of nahwu educators through an exploration of the difficulties faced by beginner learner students towards nahwu and an exploration of their expectations for nahwu educators. This type of research is a mixed method by combining qualitative and quantitative sequentially and is descriptive. Data collection by observation, open interviews, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis with 3 stages of Miles & Huberman while quantitative data analysis uses percentages. The results of the exploration of difficulties showed: 1] do not know the basics in nahwu (10%), 2] distinguish the names contained in nahwu (5%), 3] understand nahwu because there is too much material in one explanation (5%), 4] understand nahwu because explanations are not sequential (5%), 5] remember Arabic vocabulary (7%), 6] remember the rules in nahwu (39%), 7] apply nahwu to examples (29%). The results of the exploration of expectations showed: 1] explained repeatedly (14%), 2] after explaining the rules and giving examples (20%), 3] then applying them to Arabic texts or scriptures (22%), 4] explanations delivered more slowly and in a relaxed atmosphere (10%), 5] using the help of audio-visual media (20%), 6] using more interactive methods in explaining nahwu (12%), 7] adding naẓam/syi'ir nahwu then sung together, Easy to understand Nahwu references (2%). This research can be used as a foundation for nahwu educators to choose approaches, methods, and strategies in teaching nahwu for students with the same characteristics and students with different characteristics. This research is also the basis for nahwu educators to improve professional competence.

Abstract

This study describes the management of Arabic language programs in the language department for ‎female students at Darul Aman Institute. This research aimed to know the planning and objectives ‎of the management of Arabic language programs by the Language Department for female students ‎at Darul Aman Institute, and to know how to organize the management of Arabic language ‎programs for the Language Department for female students at Darul Aman Institute, the study ‎relied on the qualitative entrance research methodology and case study methodology, and data ‎collection through interview, field observation and document analysis. The researchers used data ‎analysis of Miles and Huberman. The result of this research is that the planning and objectives of the ‎Arabic language programs in the language department for female students at Darul Aman Institute ‎include: setting the schedule for speaking Arabic to develop students' discipline in speaking Arabic, ‎conducting a language competition to expand the students' culture and to develop the language ‎skills of students by establishing a linguistic quarantine, and producing a vocabulary dictionary and ‎language conversation in order to dispense with students' vocabulary and memorize it and then test ‎it at the end of the month to assess the development of their language level, upgrading students' ‎language skills by doing additional study To teach those who have a poor level of language and the ‎establishment of a language court, and the last plan is to find ways to develop students' language ‎skills by making vocabulary boards and conversation and by preparing to watch linguistic films and ‎linguistic songs. How to organize its administration is the organizational structure of the staff, the ‎installation of student organizations from the language department, as well as the creation and ‎establishment of a language violation court‏.‏

Abstract

This research focuses on extracting cellulose from thorn pandan and evaluating its potential as a raw material for cellulose acetate. Thorn pandan contains polysaccharides, especially cellulose. In its fabrication process, cellulose acetate is produced from cellulose acetylation reaction. Cellulose is extracted using the Microwave-assisted Extraction method with variations in NaOH concentration (1, 2, and 3%), H2O2 concentration (10, 20, and 30%), and time variables (20, 40, and 60 minutes). Extraction optimization was performed with Response Surface Methodology (RSM) model BBD (Box-Behken Design). Several characterizations were carried out to determine the characteristics of cellulose acetate, namely Degree of Acetylation, FT-IR spectroscopy and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The highest cellulose yield obtained in the extraction process was 50.7% with a variable of 3% NaOH, 30% H2O2 and 60 minutes. XRD analysis shows the angle value 2θ = 22.53798° of thorn pandan cellulose structure is almost similar to commercial cellulose. FTIR functional group identification of cellulose acetate showed the presence of carbonyl (C=O) and (C-O Acetyl) group, respectively seen at wave numbers 1734 cm-1 and 1256 cm-1. The acetyl content of cellulose acetate from thorn pandan produced is 35.475%. Therefore, thorn pandan biomass has the potential as a raw material for making cellulose acetate.

Abstract

Management of curriculum is an important thing to pay attention to because it contributes to realizing institutional goals in educational institutions, such as the Arabic language program for medical and health students at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Malang. This research aims to find out how the Arabic language program curriculum management is implemented at Mabna Ar-Razzi, Batu, and the problems of its implementation in the 2023 academic year. The subject of this research is the language division at Mabna Ar-Razzi. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a case study type of research. Meanwhile, the data collection technique uses observation of Arabic language program activities, interviews with the language division and documentation containing a schedule of Arabic language program activities. The results of this research show that the implementation of the Arabic language program curriculum management at Mabna Ar-Razzi, Batu is going well with various kinds of skills-supporting activities and Arabic language elements. The problem in implementing this program is the lack of supervision and lack of active participation from students. Manajemen kurikulum merupakan suatu hal yang penting untuk diperhatikan karena memiliki kontribusi dalam merealisasikan sebuah tujuan institusional pada lembaga pendidikan seperti halnya pada lembaga program bahasa Arab untuk mahasiswa kedokteran dan kesehatan di Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan manajemen kurikulum program bahasa Arab di mabna Ar-Razzi, Batu dan problematika pelaksanannya pada tahun ajaran 2023. Subjek penelitian ini ialah devisi bahasa yang ada di mabna Ar-Razzi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deksriptif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Sedangkan tehnik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasi terhadap kegiatan program bahasa Arab, wawancara kepada devisi bahasa dan dokumentasi berisi jadwal kegiatan program bahasa Arab. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan manajemen kurikulum program bahasa Arab di mabna Ar-Razzi, Batu berjalan dengan baik dengan berbagai macam kegiatan penunjang ketrampilan dan unsur bahasa Arab. Sedangkan problematika yang ada dalam pelaksanaan program ini adalah kurangnya pengawasan dan partisipasi aktif dari siswa.
