Abstract

This study attempts to evaluate the Indonesian adaptation of the DASS-21, a scale adapted from Peter F. and Sydney H. Lovibond 1995 to assess levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. Multistage random sampling taking from 1478 Indonesian. Additionally, we use The Rasch measurement model to examine psychometric properties of DASS-21. The results indicate that the DASS-21 fulfills the psychometric measurement aspect by providing evidence as a valid and reliable instrument, with a very good item reliability value .99 and sufficient person reliability (.89), as well as a Cronbach alpha value KR-20.  of .91, meaning that the quality of the items is very good for revealing depression, anxiety, and stress. Furthermore, the results are reinforced by the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) value to the residual of 39.7%, meaning that the items in DASS-21 are representative for measuring depression, anxiety, and stress. Therefore, it can be said that the DASS-21 is valid and reliable for assessing the levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. The Indonesian translation of the DASS-21 constructs can also be used to assess the stress, anxiety, and depression levels.

Abstract

Students are susceptible to feeling pressure as a manifestation of the changes experienced during their educational process. These changes present themselves in a variety of different ways. This state is reasonably frequent among students, mainly when supporting causes of pressure are present. Some examples of these circumstances include living away from parents, shifting patterns of academic interactions from high school, differing academic expectations, and socio-cultural shifts. Moving beyond the theoretical foundation, empirical investigations, and phenomena in the area, there is a need for in-depth research and studies about attempts to identify models that alleviate the academic stress experienced by students. The Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) technique combined with the internet, and online media is one of these approaches. The goal of this research was to determine whether or not the SFBC method combined with the model of distant counseling might successfully alleviate the academic stress experienced by first-year students. The number of participants in this research was cut down to five college students to meet the research requirements. The design and analysis of the research adhere to the premise of using a single-subject experimental design combined with visual analysis. The findings demonstrated an overall reduction in the amount of academic stress experienced by students after two sessions, as well as an improvement in their condition by the time the session was through

Abstract

Abstract

As the fourth industrial revolution guides humanity toward the next stage of civilization, there have been various changes across multiple domains of life. The youngest generations now face a new era in which unexpected problems continuously arise and evolve. Consequently, innovation is needed, especially in psychology and technology. This innovation is important because of the increasing number of issues that plague human life, especially psychological problems, trauma, and phobias. However, modern psychology has not kept pace with these developments. Based on this, the researchers developed a tool called IP-Light Technologies. This tool was developed using a research and development approach. Product testing in the form of prototypes is limited and widely carried out in West Nusa Tenggara, West Sumatra, DKI Jakarta, and Bali. As a result of testing, the final prototype was widely produced. The perceptual light prototype comprises a set of lamps and a multiplicity of LED lights extending in horizontal wings spaced concerning the main handle; an elongated handle extending from the main handle in the opposite direction, vertically to horizontally; a linear array of illuminated displays located on the display surface of the handle; and numerous control switches mounted on the casing. The device further comprises a power supply, and control circuit wherein the LEDs on both wings are arranged in an array configured so that the combination of each bulb may project high-intensity light. A lamp clip with a spring design can be clipped on the edge of a table or any other surface.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, people used social media to communicate and entertain themselves. Yet, excessive social media use can cause anxiety and sadness. Hence, fresh social media addiction therapies are crucial. We suggest treating social media addiction with colorful Betta fish. This fish's brilliant colors and interesting behavior reduce stress and anxiety and promote well-being. Betta fish are low-maintenance pets that may be kept in a small tank at home or at work. Interacting with animals helps improve mental health. So, the "betta fish" treatment may be a low-cost and accessible way to improve mental health and minimize social media addiction amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This intervention's efficacy and best practices need further stud.

Abstract

The mental health of students in the perspective of the hadith tarbawi is not explained directly. However, these hadiths provide insights indirectly in the study of mental health. The purpose of this study was to find out the mental health of students in the perspective of tarbawi traditions. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) qualitative research method as a form of process of identifying, evaluating, and interpreting all available study materials in an effort to provide answers to certain research questions. Documents found in the period from 1768 to 2021 reach 200 publications. Then a limitation was carried out which fulfilled six Quality Assessments so that only 6 articles were selected. Then the six articles were coded with the help of Nvivo software. The results showed that students' mental health in the perspective of hadith tarbawi found three things, namely the development of resilience in students, social encouragement and also maintaining positive relationships with the surrounding environment. This is what is able to instill a good attitude in students and give birth to a healthy soul.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the condition of students' academic stress and examine differences in academic stress in male and female students after the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a comparative research obtained through random sampling. The sample of this study was 118 students consisting of several high schools in Padang City. Data was collected with an academic stress scale with 57 items. The analysis technique uses the item response theory (IRT) approach with the Rasch Model analysis. This study examines descriptive and differences with Welch with the help of WINSTEPS Version 4.7.0. The results show that there is a significant difference between male and female academic stress. Other findings found that women's academic stress tended to be higher than that of men, and what was interesting from this data was that there was a woman who was at the highest logit or an outlier, meaning that this woman needed to be given intervention to reduce her stress by providing individual counseling services. Based on the results of this study it is hoped that school counselors will focus more on women for academic stress prevention programs.
