Abstract

The use of social media, especially Twitter during the presidential election campaign in 2014 led to the construction of the presidential candidates can not only be found in the mass media, but also can be found in the content chirp twitter account supporters. This study aims to identify and find out how the two presidential candidates figure (Prabowoand Jokowi) when constructed through chirp Twitter account their respective supporters. By using qualitative methods, this research observation and analysis of the chirp twitter supporters of the two presidential candidates were uploaded during the presidential election campaign (June 4 until June 5, 2014) takes place. The results showed that Prabowo is constructed by supporters twitter account as a highly intelligent, resolute and strong. While Jokowi constructed by supporters as a populist figure, simple and honest.

Abstract

Background: The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs created an advertising campaign for the “Makan Bergizi Gratis” Program. This advertisement drew much criticism from netizens because it used generative AI. Netizens considered the use of AI disrespectful to local animators and Indonesia’s creative industry. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the network and classification of comments on the AI-generated advertisement of “Makan Bergizi Gratis” released on YouTube by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. Methods: This study adopted a quantitative-qualitative (mixed method) approach with two methodological tools: social network analysis and content analysis. Results: Comments on the advertisement of “Makan Bergizi Gratis” are dominated by argumentative, critical comments directed at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. In this criticism, netizens expressed disappointment due to the use of generative AI in the advertisement, which devalued animators and human-made animation works. Conclusion: Based on the analysis of the comments, netizens are divided into three groups: individuals who understand that the advertisement is AI-generated and call it generative AI; individuals who understand that the advertisement is AI-generated and call it AI animation; and individuals who call it animation. The researchers also concluded that Indonesians are struggling to distinguish between animation, generative AI, and AI. Implications: Policymakers, communication practitioners, and academics must share the vision that the development and use of generative AI require a strong framework of communication ethics to guide responsible practices. This research could also be an evaluation source for the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. It could trigger all creative industry players in Indonesia to formulate a code of ethics for using generative AI in Indonesia.

Abstract

In the era of information transparency and rising public expectations, governmental institution face challenges not only in disseminating information but also in cultivating lasting stakeholder relationships. The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, as the principal administrator of fiscal policy, must manage fiscal communication in a way that balances efficiency with inclusivity. This study examines the Ministry's communication strategy for engaging both internal and external stakeholders. Employing Stakeholder Engagement theory, a qualitative methodology, and a case study approach, data were gathered via in-depth interviews with six heads of Sub-Division from the Bureau of Communication and Information Services, Ministry of Finance. Research indicates that stakeholder engagement techniques concentrate on four approaches: dialogue, information distribution, message transmission, and broadcasting. Internal elements, including motivation, authority, and organizational dynamics, affect communication efficacy. Stakeholder mapping, communication strategy, and risk management are essential in the external setting. These practices demonstrate how internal organizational capacity and external stakeholder dynamics jointly influence engagement outcomes, including legitimacy, participation, and collaborative value creation. The primary contribution of this study is the development of a conceptual model that explains the mechanisms linking internal organizational factors to external stakeholder engagement. This model offers a comprehensive understanding of how state institutions can transform communication into participatory and accountable governance. It emphasizes the significance of transformative communication in promoting participatory, inclusive, transparent, and responsive governance that aligns with public needs. Keywords: External communication, internal communication, public participation, stakeholder engagement, strategic communication ABSTRAKDi era transparansi informasi dan meningkatnya ekspektasi publik, lembaga pemerintah menghadapi tantangan tidak hanya dalam menyebarkan informasi tetapi juga dalam membangun hubungan pemangku kepentingan yang berkelanjutan. Kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia, sebagai administrator utama kebijakan fiskal, harus mengelola komunikasi fiskal dengan menyeimbangkan efisiensi dan inklusivitas. Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi komunikasi Kementerian dalam melibatkan pemangku kepentingan internal dan eksternal. Dengan menggunakan teori Stakeholder Engagement, metodologi kualitatif, dan pendekatan studi kasus, data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan enam kepala Sub Bagian dari Biro Komunikasi dan Layanan Informasi Kementerian Keuangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan berpusat pada empat pendekatan: dialog, distribusi informasi, penyampaian pesan, dan penyiaran. Faktor internal termasuk motivasi, otoritas, dan dinamika organisasi yang mempengaruhi efektivitas komunikasi, sedangkan proses eksternal seperti pemetaan pemangku kepentingan, perancangan strategi, dan manajemen risiko menjadi landasan operasional. Praktik-praktik ini menunjukkan bagaimana kapasitas organisasi internal dan dinamika pemangku kepentingan eksternal secara bersama-sama membentuk hasil keterlibatan, seperti legitimasi, partisipasi, dan penciptaan nilai kolaboratif. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah pengembangan model konseptual yang menjelaskan mekanisme yang menghubungkan faktor internal organisasi dengan keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan eksternal. Model ini menawarkan pemahaman komprehensif tentang bagaimana lembaga negara dapat mengubah komunikasi menjadi tata kelola yang partisipatif dan akuntabel. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya komunikasi transformatif dalam mendorong tata kelola yang partisipatif, inklusif, transparan, dan responsif sesuai dengan kebutuhan publik.Kata Kunci: Komunikasi eksternal, komunikasi internal, komunikasi strategis, partisipasi publik, stakeholder engagement

Abstract

High school students at State Senior High School of Rancaekek are the young generation who have strategic potential in social change. The lack of digital literacy for high school students can be a threat to the ideals of a Golden Indonesia in 2045. For this reason, digital media literacy training and content creators are needed for Rancaekek state high school students, Bandung Regency. This training is carried out directly using interactive lecture methods and focus group discussions (FGD), as well as hands-on practice in processing social media content. The training has succeeded in increasing students' awareness and knowledge about digital media and content creators. Mainly seen from the increase in awareness and knowledge regarding social media content that needs to be studied and filtered before spreading such as hoaxes, fake news, hate speech and so on which is reflected in the results of the pre-test and post-test. The students showed a significant increase in knowledge and skills about the benefits and impacts of digitization, how to avoid hoax news, the Canva application as an application that can support learning and work, and procedures for creating content on social media. Apart from that, in this activity there was also an introduction to CV and LinkedIn as well as the use of Canva and Google Digital Garage. Recommendations for training activities at SMAN Rancaekek are the need for gradual continuation of digital literacy training for students. In addition, school policies are needed to develop digital media literacy agendas as an important part of the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana hubungan antara informasi pada akun Instagram @bijakmemilih.id dengan sikap followers mengenai debat capres dan cawapres. Hubungan informasi dengan sikap followers diukur melalui valensi dan bobotnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji teori integrasi informasi dengan mencoba mengetahui sejauh mana hubungan antara valensi informasi pada akun Instagram @bijakmemilih.id dengan sikap followers dan sejauh mana bobot informasi pada akun Instagram @bijakmemilih.id dengan sikap followers. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, melalui uji hipotesis rank spearman dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak 89 orang yang terpilih berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui PhantomBuster dan Random.org. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan yaitu angket kuesioner, observasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa informasi pada akun Instagram @bijakmemilih.id memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan sikap followers. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh elemen valensi dan bobot informasi yang positif dan memiliki hubungan dengan perubahan sikap followers. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa valensi informasi dengan sikap memiliki hubungan yang cukup kuat. Sedangkan, bobot informasi dengan sikap followers memiliki yang hubungan kuat.

Abstract

This research discusses a café in Makassar city called Pyur For You café, which provides an exciting experience to its consumers. This research analyzes how brand loyalty can form through sensory experience and affective experience. This research is a qualitative case study with informants from Pyur For You café consumers selected randomly and met directly in the café area. This research involved three consumers who have come to the café repeatedly and recommended the café to their relatives. From the findings of this research, consumers of Pyur For You cafe have received a sensory experience in the cafe area through their sight, smell, taste, and hearing. After receiving a sensory experience, it successfully forms a compelling consumer experience. Sensory experience and affective experience then become variables that help to increase brand loyalty. However, its application can still be maximized again.

Abstract

ABSTRAKAlih fungsi lahan di Kabupaten Bandung telah menyebabkan meluasnya lahan kritis dan peningkatan risiko bencana alam seperti banjir bandang, longsor, dan erosi yang merugikan sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana Kelompok Tani Wanoja di Kecamatan Ibun mengelola pertanian kopi secara ramah lingkungan sesuai dengan ketentuan Pasal 70 Undang-Undang Nomor 32 Tahun 2009 tentang Perlindungan dan Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup, serta dampaknya terhadap konservasi lingkungan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada fokus penerapan hukum lingkungan dalam praktik pertanian kopi yang dipimpin oleh petani perempuan, dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan konservasi yang terintegrasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus melalui observasi, wawancara langsung di lokasi produksi Kelompok Tani Wanoja, dan kajian literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kelompok Tani Wanoja berhasil menanam lebih dari satu juta batang kopi di lahan seluas 118 hektare, yang sebelumnya mengalami alih fungsi menjadi lahan pertanian sayur dan menimbulkan bencana banjir bandang. Praktik pertanian tersebut menerapkan sistem agroforestri, penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida organik, pengelolaan limbah secara zero waste, dan pengelolaan sumber daya air yang efisien, sehingga mampu mengurangi risiko erosi dan banjir bandang sejak 2016. Keberhasilan ini juga didukung oleh pelibatan aktif perempuan sebagai agen perubahan dan dukungan pelatihan serta akses pasar ekspor, yang secara kolektif meningkatkan keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesejahteraan anggota kelompok tani. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya sinergi antara konservasi lingkungan dan pemberdayaan komunitas tani dalam menghadapi tantangan alih fungsi lahan dan bencana alam. This research aims to examine how the Wanoja Farmers Group in Ibun District manages environmentally friendly coffee farming in accordance with the provisions of Article 70 of Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, as well as its impact on environmental conservation and community welfare. The novelty of this research lies in its focus on the application of environmental law in coffee farming practices led by women farmers, using a participatory and integrated conservation approach. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach through observation, direct interviews at the Wanoja Farmers Group's production site, and related literature review. The results show that the Wanoja Farmers Group has succeeded in planting more than one million coffee trees on 118 hectares of land, which was previously converted into vegetable farming land and caused flash floods. These agricultural practices implement agroforestry systems, the use of organic fertilizers and pesticides, zero waste management, and efficient water resource management, thereby reducing the risk of erosion and flash floods since 2016. This success is also supported by the active involvement of women as agents of change and support for training and access to export markets, which collectively improve environmental sustainability and the welfare of farmer group members. This study underscores the importance of synergy between environmental conservation and farmer community empowerment in addressing the challenges of land conversion and natural disasters. Abstract

Researchers systematically analyze studies on strategic communication in public relations through a bibliometric review. The aim is to determine the current state and development of research on strategic communication, especially in the context of Public Relations. This research contributes to a broader, more precise understanding of the research landscape on strategic communication and to the identification of keyword trends for future research. The research employed a qualitative approach, along with bibliometric and thematic analyses, to review the literature on strategic communication in the context of public relations. The researcher collected scientific articles on strategic communication in the context of public relations through the Scopus database. The finding that attracts the researcher's attention is the annual growth rate of 2.54% suggests that academic attention remains relatively limited, which consequently impacts the field's growth trajectory. Another finding of this research is the significant evolution in research topics occurred during the period from 2015 to 2025. While previous studies positioned social media and digital technology as 'hot topics' for future inquiry, this study finds that both have since become mature and developing fields. The high density of these keywords indicates that scholars are no longer merely exploring the definitions of social media but are instead investigating in depth how it functions strategically to shape public opinion. The evolution of research topics confirms that the profession is moving beyond technician roles toward strategic management functions, where PR practitioners are increasingly involved in high-level organizational decision-making. The research over the past decade has primarily focused on the corporate context. Consequently, we suggest exploring how non-corporate sectors, such as NGOs, government agencies, and advocacy groups, adopt digital strategic communication practices to achieve their organizational goals.

Abstract

The low level of public awareness of the role and activities of the Aceh Foundation for the Education of Children with Disabilities (YPAC) in educating children with disabilities requires an effective communication strategy through digital media. This study focuses on YPAC Aceh's digital public relations strategy in increasing public awareness through Instagram social media management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of digital communication. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type, through data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that YPAC Aceh has implemented a digital public relations strategy in stages through the delivery of visual content based on school activities, interaction with the audience, and simple evaluation of follower responses. Although Instagram management still faces limitations in human resources and is not yet optimally structured, the use of Instagram is considered effective in disseminating information, building empathy, and increasing public awareness of children's disability issues and the role of YPAC Aceh.
