Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of instilling love for the Qur’an from an early age, particularly through structured memorization habits in elementary school environments. MIS Integral Hidayatullah Kota Jayapura has implemented the Morning Al-Qur’an Program as one of its religious learning strategies to enhance students’ memorization skills. The objectives of this research are to describe the implementation of the Morning Al-Qur’an Program at MIS Integral Hidayatullah Kota Jayapura, to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of its implementation, and to examine its contribution to improving students’ Qur’an memorization ability. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with the principal, Qur’an teachers, and students, as well as documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the Morning Al-Qur’an Program consists of three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage set gradual memorization targets according to students’ grade levels; the implementation stage was conducted every morning using the talaqqi, tasmi’, and collective muraja’ah methods; and the evaluation stage was carried out at the end of each semester through memorization tests recorded in progress reports and included in religious report cards. Supporting factors of the program include school policy, teacher commitment, parental support, and student enthusiasm. Inhibiting factors consist of limited facilities, student discipline issues, time constraints, and the lack of consistent muraja’ah at home. The program significantly contributed to improving students’ memorization abilities both in quantity and quality, while also fostering discipline, learning motivation, and religious character.

Abstract

Transportasi memainkan peran penting dalam mendukung kegiatan pendidikan. Namun, masyarakat di Kampung Pisang, Kota Jayapura, menghadapi kesulitan akses transportasi, terutama siswa yang sering terlambat ke sekolah karena harus menunggu tumpangan. Jarak tempuh dari Kampung Pisang ke sekolah mencapai 3 km yang memakan waktu ketika siswa menempuh dengan berjalan kaki. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis hambatan yang dihadapi warga Kampung Pisang, Kota Jayapura, Propinsi Papua, khususnya anak sekolah saat menggunakan transportasi umum. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Indikator dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang kurangnya transportasi umum yang melalui jalur Kampung Pisang, ketidakmampuan masyarakat memiliki alat transportasi, jarak sekolah yang jauh dari Kampung Pisang, ketrbatasan ekonomi masyarakat, ketakutan pengemudi untuk mengambil penumpang, adanya jalur lain untuk menuju Koya dan Arso. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Jumlah informan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 5 orang, dengan tehnik pemilihan yang bersifat purposive, sedangkan tehnik analisis data menggunakan model alir (flow model). Penelitian ini menunjukkan terbatasnya transportasi umum membuat anak-anak mengalami kendala menempuh pendidikan, dengan jarak antara sekolah dan Kampung yang jauh, juga perekonomian masyarakat yang rendah sehingga tidak memungkinkan untuk membeli alat ransportasi secara pribadi. Disamping itu factor keamanan di wilayah tersebut yang mengakibatkan keengganan sopir angkutan umum untuk melayani penumpang di wilayah tersebut.

Abstract

Students, as members of the digital generation, constitute the group that makes the most extensive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic activities. They employ AI based services to complete various tasks, whether consciously or not. This trend indicates that education is increasingly shifting toward a more autonomous, flexible, and technology-driven learning model. This study aims to examine how the use of AI affects students at IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua, both in terms of its benefits and its challenges, including its influence on creativity, independent thinking, and academic integrity. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through passive participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model. The findings reveal that technological advancements, particularly AI, have transformed the ways in which students at IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua search for information, comprehend learning materials, and complete academic assignments. AI enhances learning efficiency by providing rapid access to references, assisting with idea development, and offering concise information. However, the study also identifies the risks of excessive reliance on AI, which may weaken students’ critical thinking skills, creativity, and independence, as well as increase the potential for plagiarism. Thus, while AI can support the emergence of original ideas when used appropriately, it may also undermine academic abilities when misused. Therefore, digital literacy, ethical AI usage, and educator guidance are essential.

Abstract

Tujuan kajian ini adalah menganalisis peran motivasi dan disiplin belajar dalam mengatasi hambatan perilaku peserta didik guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif-analitis berbasis studi pustaka terhadap buku dan jurnal ilmiah terbitan sepuluh tahun terakhir dengan mensinergikan temuan empiris serta teori Maslow. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Disiplin berfungsi sebagai regulator perilaku dan kontrol diri siswa; (2) Motivasi berperan sebagai motor penggerak (internal drive) yang menentukan intensitas keterlibatan akademik; (3) Terdapat hubungan timbal balik (reciprocal) di mana motivasi memicu kedisiplinan, sementara disiplin menjaga stabilitas motivasi. Sinergi keduanya terbukti secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar.  The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of motivation and learning discipline in overcoming students’ behavioral barriers in order to improve the quality of learning. This research employs a descriptive–analytical qualitative method based on a literature review of books and scientific journals published over the last ten years, integrating empirical findings with Maslow’s theory. The results indicate that: (1) discipline functions as a regulator of behavior and a mechanism of students’ self-control; (2) motivation acts as a driving force (internal drive) that determines the intensity of academic engagement; and (3) there is a reciprocal relationship in which motivation stimulates discipline, while discipline maintains the stability of motivation. The synergy between the two is proven to significantly enhance learning outcomes.

Abstract

This paper discusses the dynamics of the establishment of Islamic boarding schools in the minority areas of Jayapura City. This research method is a qualitative research with the approach used is the phenomenological approach and scientific approaches in the form of sociological and historical. The source of the data of this research is the boarding school caretakers, religious teachers, students, community leaders, traditional leaders, coaches, mentors, educators, and the community. Furthermore, the data collection methods used are observation, interview, documentation, and triangulation. The next stage is data processing techniques and data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study indicate that there are three concepts that become the dynamics of the establishment of huts in minority areas, namely: 1) History of its establishment including: there are indications of apostasy in remote areas of transimigration in Jayapura and Keerom Papua, the assumption of the Islamization of the majority of people in Jayapura, the existence of mosques which is very quiet from the pilgrims, the assumption of Islamic boarding schools as a stronghold of Muslims, and the assumption that Islamic boarding schools print human resources with a radical mindset, the involvement of traditional leaders. 2) Institutional development, including: formal and non-formal education. 3) Contributions of Islamic boarding schools include: the social religious field, the field of religious harmony, and the cultural field based on local wisdom.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the paradigm of disseminating moderate character values to students by Islamic Religious Education teachers at Sentani 1 Public Junior High School. This qualitative study is a case study. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. This study is supported by the theory of interfaith collaboration, the theory of value internalisation, and a preventive approach in religious education. The results of the study indicate that there is an integration paradigm in the dissemination of moderate religious values by Islamic Education teachers at the school, namely through interrelated strategies in strengthening moderate values in the curriculum, using a local culture-based approach, and cultivating tolerant attitudes in daily interactions. These strategies create an inclusive and harmonious learning environment and foster tolerant attitudes among students. This study contributes to the importance of holistic strategies in the internalization of moderate religious diversity among students, emphasizing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

Usaha kerupuk kulit yang dijalankan oleh ibu Puji di Jayapura merupakan salah satu bentuk industri rumahan yang memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan pendapatan keluarga dan masyarakat sekitar. Hal ini dilakukan karena semakin tingginya kebutuhan masyarakat sehingga mencari peluang lain untuk dapat memperoleh pendapatan tambahan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menjabarkan secara konprehensif tentang pengembangan indusri kerupuk kulit rumahan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Waena Kota Jayapura melalui pengabdian pada masyarakat. Metode penelitian menggunakan model Roda Deming (PDCA) yang digabungkan dengan analisis SWOT. Hasil analisis SWOT menunjukkan bahwa usaha ini memiliki kekuatan seperti tidak adanya pesaing langsung, kualitas bahan baku yang baik, dan harga yang terjangkau. Namun, kelemahan masih terdapat pada keterbatasan varian rasa, waktu produksi yang panjang, dan kendala cuaca. Peluang besar datang dari minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang produksi kerupuk kulit dan belum adanya pesaing kuat, sementara ancaman berasal dari potensi munculnya kompetitor baru dan keterbatasan dalam pemasaran digital. Dengan mengoptimalkan kekuatan dan peluang yang ada, usaha ini memiliki potensi untuk berkembang lebih luas di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Meningkatnya tuntutan akademik di perguruan tinggi mendorong mahasiswa mengejar standar prestasi tinggi, namun juga berpotensi memicu tekanan psikologis dan burnout. Fenomena perfeksionisme yang berkembang di kalangan mahasiswa menjadi salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap kondisi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji secara konprehensif fenomena perfectionism dan burnout akademik pada mahasiswa Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Fattahul Muluk Papua Jayapura. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma fenomenologi sosial. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan kriteria tertentu yang disesuaikan dengan fokus penelitian. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipatoris, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model alir yaitu reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perfeksionisme pada mahasiswa IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua Jayapura mepengaruhi dinamika akademik secara internal dan eksternal. Perfeksionisme berorientasi pada diri sendiri bersifat adaptif karena mendorong kualitas akademik melalui standar pribadi dan motivasi intrinsic dari mahasiswa, sementara perfeksionisme yang dipengaruhi tuntutan sosial dan kekhawatiran berlebihan terhadap kesalahan memicu kecemasan serta perilaku akademik disfungsional. Kondisi ini berkontribusi pada burnout akademik yang ditandai oleh kelelahan emosional, penurunan efikasi akademik, dan tekanan akademik berlebihan akibat tingginya tuntutan, kompleksitas tugas, serta ketidakseimbangan antara beban studi dan sumber daya mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membentuk sikap toleransi siswa di SD Inpres 2 Arso II. Tujuan penelitian mencakup tiga aspek. Pertama, mendeskripsikan kondisi sikap toleransi siswa. Kedua, mengidentifikasi strategi yang digunakan guru PAI. Ketiga, mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaan strategi tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diperkuat dengan triangulasi dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap toleransi siswa berada pada kategori cukup baik. Siswa mampu berinteraksi tanpa membedakan agama maupun suku. Guru PAI menerapkan beberapa strategi seperti memberi teladan, membiasakan siswa menghargai perbedaan, serta menciptakan suasana ibadah yang nyaman bagi semua. Faktor pendukung strategi meliputi kerja sama guru dan orang tua serta lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif. Faktor penghambat antara lain perilaku bully dan pengaruh lingkungan luar sekolah. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa peran guru PAI memiliki pengaruh penting dalam pembentukan toleransi sejak usia sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study was done to determine the role of the object pair and share cooperative learning approach at the madrasah level in presenting Islam education, which up to this point has only used the traditional system. This study was also done to determine how engaged the student or students were in using this form of learning. especially on content about Islam. The classroom action research approach, which was derived from Kemmis & Tagart's approach, was employed in this study. This approach is a two-cycle research paradigm that includes several steps, including planning, action implementation, observation, and method reflection. This study's major goal is to find out how much is known about the cooperative think pair and share (TPS) approach used to offer Islamic religious instruction. According to the study's findings, there has been an upsurge in Madrasah-level Islamic religious education activities. In conclusion, the Think, Pair, and Share approach is a technique that helps boost students' creativity, which can make them more engaged in discussions, receptive to other people's viewpoints, and active in both teaching and learning.
