Abstract

Mathematics is a subject taught at every level of education and has a vital role in everyday life. However, in reality, student mathematics learning achievement tends to be low. One of the reasons is the monotonous learning model or strategy and uninteresting learning media. The learning process is only one-way, making students imitate and record how to answer the questions given by the teacher without understanding the concept correctly. In addition, the learning media used is monotonous and tends to be traditional. Namely, only the whiteboard and several times using an LCD projector, making students bored and passive. So, innovative learning strategies and media are needed to overcome these problems. This study aims to determine the improvement of student mathematics learning achievement in statistics material in grade 10 through implementing Problem-based Learning integrated with Flipped Classroom assisted by Google Sites. The research method used is Classroom Action Research with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The results showed increased student mathematics learning achievement in statistics material in grade 10 through implementing Problem-based Learning integrated with Flipped Classroom, assisted by Google Sites. The percentage of classical learning completeness in each cycle is Pre-Cycle 56% with an average of 69.3, Cycle I 72% with an average of 75.7, and Cycle II 89% with an average of 84.7. So, Problem-based Learning integrated with Flipped Classroom, assisted by Google Sites, successfully improves student learning achievement and is recommended to be implemented in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the discovery learning approach for teaching mathematics has an effect on students' learning outcomes. This study is quantitative descriptive research with a pre-experiment, one-group pretest-posttest research design. The research subjects consisted of 31 students from class IXA at junior high school 36 Semarang. The students took a pretest before the implementation of the discovery learning model, and then a posttest was given after the implementation to measure the enhancement of students' learning outcomes. Pretest and Posttest findings revealed an increase in the average scores, which were 47.41 and 80.90, respectively, and the N-Gain test results showed a score of 0.61 in the moderate category. The study's findings shed light on the usefulness of the discovery learning approach in increasing the learning outcomes of class IXA students at junior high school 36 Semarang, particularly in the field of geometry transformation. From the results of the pretest, it was found that 31 students were in the low category. After learning with the discovery learning model, a posttest was carried out with the results of 7 students who were in the low category, 17 students in the medium category, and 7 students in the high category. There were significant changes in the participants' pretest and posttest scores, validating the efficacy of discovery learning strategies. Students who received instruction using the discovery learning model, in particular, had considerably higher posttest results as compared to their pretest scores. This demonstrates a significant increase in their comprehension and application of geometry transformation ideas following participation in the discovery learning technique. Through the discovery learning approach, teachers play a critical role in promoting student-centered learning. While the discovery learning model has been shown to be helpful in improving student learning outcomes, it is critical to investigate other instructional strategies and the use of educational technologies in future research and teaching practices. Additional study should be conducted to explore the usefulness of instructional technology and to establish best practices for its integration in order to improve student accomplishment in the digital era.

Abstract

Keberagaman peserta didik sangat mempengaruhi hasil belajar di kelas. Salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan guru untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik adalah dengan menerapkan Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Matematika, khususnya pada pokok bahasan Program Linear. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang melibatkan empat unsur yaitu, visual, auditori, kinestetik, dan membaca-menulis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus dan dimulai dengan kegiatan prasiklus. Pada setiap siklus dilakukan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluai, dan refleksi. Penelitian dilakukan pada 36 peserta didik kelas X Boga 1 SMK Negeri 6 Semarang. Hasil yang diperoleh pada kegiatan prasiklus menunjukkan bahwa hanya 11 peserta didik (30,56%) yang tuntas, sedangkan 25 peserta didik (69,44%) tidak tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 65,39. Pada siklus I, terjadi peningkatan jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas menjadi 21 peserta didik (58,33%) dan 15 peserta didik (41,67%) tidak tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 71,78. Pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan lagi, dimana jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas mencapai 34 peserta didik (94,44%) dan hanya 2 peserta didik (5,56%) yang tidak tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 85,58. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Matematika, khususnya pada pokok bahasan Program Linear di kelas X Boga 1 SMK Negeri 6 Semarang.

Abstract

Abstract- This research is motivated by the many cases of LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) leakage which resulted in more fatal losses and often claimed lives. Therefore, the researcher made a study that resulted in a product in the form of an LPG gas detector that can be used in the household scope. So that the user gets more security in the use of LPG gas considering that the need for LPG gas is a basic need of the community. This research uses the R&D (Research and development) method with the waterfall pressman development model which produces a physical device based on the Arduino Uno type microcontroller where the tool will work automatically to provide a warning and early handling in the form of sound and fan motion so that the leaking LPG gas can come out. room. Before conducting the research, the researcher conducted an expert validation test aimed at assessing the feasibility of the tool for research. The results of this study were obtained through giving questionnaires to respondents using LPG gas which were then processed. The average percentage of this research is 97.5% which is then converted into a qualitative form, which is strongly agree. So that this research can be known reliable for use.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the ability to think creatively through the application of a tower crane. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted in STEM Village, Joho, Yogyakarta. The subjects in this study consisted of 4 children. Data collection through observation techniques, interviews and questionnaires. Based on research on children's creative thinking abilities in STEM village, Joho, Yogyakarta. It was found that the tower crane application activity was able to determine children's creative thinking. The research results show the ability to think creatively based on learning styles during the Tower Crane application project. Two children with an auditory learning style were able to meet the indicators for fluent thinking (Fluency) and flexible thinking (Flexibility). Two children with a visual learning style were able to meet the indicators of creative thinking, namely Fluency and Originality.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation and results of implementing the Problem-Based Learning Model (PBL) using Student Activity Sheets (LAS) to evaluate the development of mathematical problem-solving abilities of class X MPLB 1 students at SMK N 2 Semarang on the topic of single interest and compound interest. Class X MPLB 1, consisting of 36 students, is the focus of this research. The research method was carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of two meetings. The data collected comes from observations and tests, which are then analyzed using descriptive techniques. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in problem-solving abilities from cycle I to cycle II. Initially, the average problem-solving ability was 67.78, which then increased to 75 in cycle I and continued to increase to 88 in cycle II.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical concept understanding abilities of male and female students in solving mathematical problems on composition and inverse functions in Grade XI of SMK Negeri 2 Semarang. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were 36 students from Grade XI Marketing 1 of SMK Negeri 2 Semarang, with 2 male and 2 female students selected. The data collection techniques used in this study were written tests and documentation. The subjects were analyzed based on indicators of students' mathematical concept understanding abilities. The data analysis technique involved stages of analysis before and after fieldwork, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that male students have superior mathematical understanding abilities in using, utilizing, and selecting certain procedures or operations and applying concepts or algorithms for problem-solving compared to female students.

Abstract

Studi ini meneliti kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal numerasi yang akan ditinjau berdasarkan kemandirian belajar kategori tinggi dan sedang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dekriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMK Pembangunan Nasional yang terdiri dari satu siswa tipe kemandirian belajar tinggi, dan satu siswa tipe kemandirian sedang. Dalam penelitian ini, angket kemandirian belajar, tes soal, dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan tirangulasi metode. Menurut analisis, subjek dengan kemandirian belajar tinggi mampu memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis, Sementara subjek dengan kemandirian belajar sedang hanya mampu memenuhi dua indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis dari total semua indikator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan multi representasi matematis siswa dalam mengerjakan soal terbuka matematika ditinjau dari self-efficacy. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di SMP N 3 Kandangserang tahun ajaran 2021/2022, dengan subjek penelitian 9 siswa di kelas 9. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa dengan kategori self-efficacy tinggi, self-efficacy sedang dan self-efficacy rendah. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu dengan angket skala self-efficacy, tes tertulis, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data mengunakan triangulasi metode yaitu membandingkan hasil tes kemampuan multi representasi dan hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan self-efficacy tinggi mampu menyajikan solusi dengan representasi verbal, simbolik, dan visual. Siswa dengan kategori self-efficacy sedang mampu menyajikan solusi dengan representasi persamaan dan verbal, sedangkan siswa yang memiliki self-efficacy rendah hanya dapat memenuliskan interprestasi dari suatu representasi yaitu representasi visual namun tidak memenuhi representasi simbolik dan verbal.

Abstract

Prestasi belajar matematika dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya yaitu kedisiplinan dan motivasi belajar. Selama masa pandemi covid-19, kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dialihkan menjadi pembelajaran online. Suasana kegiatan belajar mengajar jarak jauh dengan tatap muka tentu saja beberbeda. Suasana pembelajarannyang berbeda membuat motivasiibelajarrdan kedisiplinan siswa menjadi kurang.
