Abstract

The Colorful Tourism Village in Malang City is one of the tourism destinations located on the banks of the Brantas River. As one of the tourist attractions that many tourists visit, it is necessary to pay attention to stakeholders who can support the development of the tourism area. Understanding the role of each stakeholder is important because the area is located on the banks of rivers that are prone to various disaster threats. The purpose of this study is to identify the stakeholders involved, the role of each stakeholder and the relationship between stakeholders as well as supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method used uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection based on literature studies, documentation and observations. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the development of a disaster-safe Colorful Tourism Village on the banks of the Brantas River, Malang City involves various stakeholders with the concept of pentahelix, consisting of academics, business, communities, government and mass media. Each stakeholder involved is classified into primary, key and secondary stakeholders. The role of stakeholders is reflected in the role of policy creator, coordinator, facilitator, implementer and accelerator. The relationship between stakeholders is seen from the form and activity. There are several supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of the area.

Abstract

Introduction: Kenjeran Sub-district in Surabaya has a considerable number of DR-TB patients, but the local contributing factors are not well understood. This research was conducted to analyze the host and environmental risk factors related to DR-TB incidence in this region. Methods: This research was an observational analytic case-control study conducted in Kenjeran Sub-district. A total of 48 respondents were sampled, consisting of 16 DR-TB patients (cases) and 32 non-DR-TB patients (controls) in a 1:2 ratio. The data of sex, age, education, employment status, income, contact with DR-TB, Diabetes Mellitus (DM), smoking, previous treatment, treatment compliance, and occupancy density were gathered using a questionnaire and medical records. Bivariate analysis was carried out using the Chi-square or Fisher exact test. Results and Discussion: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) was the sole condition that was substantially linked to the incidence of DR-TB, according to bivariate analysis (p = 0.021; OR 5.571, 95% CI 1.476–21.024). There was no statistically significant correlation found between other risk factors such housing density, contact history, treatment adherence, and prior treatment history. Conclusion: DM was found to be a substantial major risk factor for DR-TB, fulfilling the study's primary goal. Screening and treating TB patients with diabetes mellitus should be the top priorities of control initiatives. Future studies with a bigger sample size are required to corroborate these findings because the lack of relationship with other parameters suggests methodological constraints.

Abstract

Introduction: HIV Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is an additional prevention method for HIV transmission. Sidoarjo Regency, one of the pilot areas for HIV PrEP services in Indonesia, has been providing HIV PrEP services since 2022. In 2022 and 2023, the Sidoarjo Regency did not achieve the targets set by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the implementation of the PrEP program in Sidoarjo Regency.Methods: This evaluation used a descriptive design. The indicators included (1) coverage of HIV-negative individuals among key populations, (2) PrEP initiation coverage, and (3) PrEP uptake coverage. Data were obtained from the National PrEP Information System and in-depth interviews with the program managers. The evaluation also examined input components, including the availability of human resources, funding, and facilities, as well as process components related to service implementation, supervision, and the mechanisms of service delivery.Results: The expansion of PrEP services was conducted by increasing the number of service sites from four in 2022 to 15 in 2024. In addition, PrEP services have been integrated with mobile VCT and community-based referrals. PrEP uptake among key populations has also been studied; however, national initiation targets were achieved only among MSM in 2024.Conclusion: HIV PrEP services must be expanded to provide more options for at-risk individuals. Moreover, the integration of PrEP administration during mobile VCT makes it easier for targets who have no access to health services that provide PrEP

Abstract

Introduction: Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease caused by the bacteria Leptospira interrogans and which is transmitted from animals to humans through direct contact with the urine of infected animals or contaminated environments, the main transmitting animals are rats. This study aimed to analyze the risk factors of sex, age, occupation, and knowledge and whether they influenced the incidence of leptospirosis. in the working area of the Tulakan Community Health Center, Pacitan Regency in 2025.Method: This type of research is a quantitative analytical research with a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study comprised the entire population of 152 participannt. Data were collected using secondary data observation techniques, leptospirosis case data, and primary data, including sex, age, occupation, and knowledge. Further data analysis was performed using univariate (frequency distribution) and bivariate (chi-square test) analyses.Results: The results of the bivariate analysis show only occupation variables is associated with the incidence of leptospirosis (P-value= 0.000 PR= 15.054; 95% CI= 5.763-39.323) and also the knowledge variable is statistically significant with the incidence of leptospirosis (P-value= 0.005 PR= 3.689; 95% CI= 1.432-9.504). Age and sex did not significantly influence the incidence of leptospirosis.Conclusion: Occupation and knowledge significantly influenced the incidence of leptospirosis in the area served by the Tulakan Community Health Center, Pacitan Regency in 2025.
