Abstract

We don't know what will happen tomorrow. Yesterday is a memory, today is a reality and tomorrow is a hope. Who would have thought that the corona virus would become one of the elements forming a new life cycle not only for Indonesia but for the whole world. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) were implemented, this had an impact on the implementation of face-to-face (online) learning. Educational institutions must also change direction. Work from home. Going online is one way to stay afloat. Learners at all levels, learn online. Some are still not familiar with this method, especially those in regions or villages, so that in its implementation there are obstacles that result in the implementation of the learning process not being optimal. Those who live in cities experience different obstacles again. Learning that should be carried out face-to-face has changed to online. One of the differences that exist is seen from progress, namely those who live in cities and in villages have different difficulties. Not to mention the other variants. This article aims to find out the obstacles experienced by students during the implementation of online learning in Mathematics lessons. The approach used is a phenomenological approach. How does the exploration of phenomenology play a role in the mathematical approach. The hope is that with this approach you can get information regarding the implementation of the online learning process for learning Mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic. Exploration of Mathematics Education is seen from a phenomenological attitude, which means that it starts with entering phenomena through practice. The exercises provided are designed so that participants are able to illustrate, mention, give directions and are able to associate meanings and differences. Actually someone gets something in learning more than one's intentions, it doesn't even matter whether a teacher teaches well. For this reason, a creative teaching method is needed in learning mathematics so that there is good interaction between students and teachers. Conclusion: The process of learning mathematics online was not optimal during the pandemic due to several factors that affected the smooth implementation of learning.

Abstract

Previous research has highlighted the challenges of improving students' mathematical skills, particularly in connecting mathematical concepts to everyday life and developing strong mathematical habits of mind. This research aims to integrate problem-based learning (PBL) into a mathematics module to enhance mathematical connection abilities and mathematical habits of mind. The ADDIE method was employed to achieve this goal, encompassing five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The findings indicate that media, material, and language experts deemed the module highly suitable. Furthermore, the product was rated as highly practical based on teacher assessments, student responses, and observations during implementation. Effectiveness tests of the product, conducted through MANOVA, t-tests, and N-gain tests, revealed that the module is highly effective in enhancing students' mathematical connection abilities and moderately effective in improving their mathematical habits of mind. These findings underscore the importance of integrating digital learning technologies to increase the module's engagement and accessibility.

Abstract

This project aims to employ the aptitude treatment interaction model in the teaching system of linear equations as an alternative learning approach for high school students pursuing vocational careers. Instructional design was utilized to develop the learning model. An essential aspect of applying the aptitude treatment interaction model to learning design is the analysis of student requirements. Learning outcomes and performance goals are thoughtfully considered and aligned with instructional objectives. The findings suggest that educators should utilize the aptitude treatment interaction model when teaching systems of linear equations. The effectiveness of the learning model depends on how well it is tailored to the student's abilities.

Abstract

Learning media has an important role in learning mathematics because mathematics is an abstract science and requires a deep understanding of concepts. Students have difficulty in understanding mathematics due to the teacher's monotonous explanation in class without any learning media or epraga tools. Fun learning media is interactive learning media, which allows students to use the media themselves and interact both with other students and with teachers. One example of interactive learning media is Montessori learning media. Based on observations at partner locations, it was found that mathematics teachers in elementary and secondary schools have never used Montessori learning media, therefore training on the use of Montessori-based learning media is needed for elementary and secondary school teachers so that classroom learning runs optimally in accordance with learning objectives. Training on the use of Montessori-based learning media has a positive impact on teachers, it can be seen from the final questionnaire of the training participants provide positive feedback, to this training activity, namely with data interpretation of 96%.
