Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of self-regulated learning, self efficacy, and learning motivation on the metacognitive awareness of engineering students at the university level. A total of 358 students participated in the research, selected through purposive sampling. The participants had completed at least one semester of coursework, ensuring they had enough academic experience to reliably assess the study variables. Data was gathered via a survey and examined using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS 3 software. Findings reveal that, in direct effect analysis, self-regulated learning and self efficacy do not significantly influence metacognitive awareness, whereas learning motivation does. However, in indirect effect analysis, both of them exert a significant impact on metacognitive awareness through the moderating role of learning motivation. These results suggest that self-regulated learning and self efficacy are not enough to spark awareness of one’s own thinking processes, motivation contributes importantly to this relationship.

Abstract

In the era of rapid technological advancement, critical thinking has become a core competency in higher education, especially within engineering education. This study investigates the influence of digital literacy, metacognitive awareness, and prior knowledge on the development of critical thinking skills among engineering education students in Indonesian universities. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 455 undergraduate students through validated questionnaires. The results, analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM), reveal that all three independent variables significantly and positively influence students' critical thinking skills, with metacognitive awareness emerging as the strongest predictor. The findings highlight the importance of integrating digital competence, reflective learning, and foundational knowledge in the curriculum to foster critical thinking. This study offers theoretical and practical implications for enhancing cognitive development in higher education settings.

Abstract

Penetrasi internet di Indonesia telah mencapai 77,02% pada kuartal pertama tahun 2022. Internet dan media sosial adalah medium yang baik bagi proses komunikasi dan kampanye politik. Dengan pertumbuhan jumlah pengguna, media sosial TikTok menjadi alat strategis baru bagi para aktor politik untuk mendorong narasi politik. Salah satu politisi Indonesia sekaligus pejabat negara yang memanfaatkan media sosial TikTok adalah Ganjar Pranowo, Gubernur Jawa Tengah dua periode (2013-2023). Ganjar Pranowo dipilih untuk dikaji karena elektabilitasnya berada di posisi tiga besar pada bulan Juni 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami PR politik Ganjar Pranowo melalui media TikTok. Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil yang ditemukan: Sebuah tim bernama "Tim Udara" dibentuk pada November 2021 dan dikelola secara khusus oleh relawan Ganjar yang berbasis di Jakarta. Pengelolaan media sosial dilakukan secara terstruktur dan terorganisir, dan semua konten pesan disiapkan secara komprehensif. Tim juga melakukan kegiatan kehumasan politik seperti pengelolaan media, pengelolaan citra, komunikasi internal, dan pengelolaan informasi. Konten video diunggah sebagai strategi pembentukan citra politik Ganjar Pranowo. Pesan-pesan dalam video tersebut menunjukkan persona Ganjar Pranowo yang dekat dengan masyarakat, melakukan pekerjaan nyata, menyeimbangkan kehidupan dunia dengan spiritualitas, menunjukkan empati sosial, ramah terhadap isu keberagaman anak-perempuan dan responsif terhadap masalah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan dalam menciptakan aplikasi pembelajaran yang valid dan praktis dengan menggunakan Adobe Animate untuk pelajaran dasar-dasar kejuruan elektronika di SMK Negeri 1 Padang. Metode yang dipakai pada perancangan ini adalah Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Langkah dari metode MDLC yaitu: pengkonsepan, perancangan, penghimpunan bahan, pembuatan, pengujian dan penyebaran. Hasil pengujian validitas dan praktikalitas aplikasi pembelajaran yang dirancang mendapatkan hasil yaitu aplikasi pembelajaran interaktif yang dirancang dengan Adobe Animate adalah valid dan sangat praktis. Perolehan validitas oleh kedua ahli media mendapatkan nilai Aiken’s sebesar 0,93, sedangkan uji validitas dari kedua ahli materi mendapatkan nilai Aiken’s sebesar 0,95. Hasil praktikalitas siswa setelah menggunakan aplikasi mendapatkan nilai 91,15%.

Abstract

Politics is not socially empty. Therefore, politicians must also find the right strategy to increase popularity and electability. One way that can be used is the use of social media. Social media is now widely used by political actors as a means to absorb aspirations in the political field. One of the social media that is currently widely used as a political tool is TikTok. As of April 2022, there are 99,072,000 TikTok users in Indonesia or 51.1% of the Indonesian population aged 18 years and over. This article aimed to explore how Ganjar Pranowo built his self-image through his TikTok account @ganjarpranowofc and what storytelling strategies were used in that image. A qualitative approach with a content analysis method is used in writing this article. There are 252 videos from the TikTok account @ganjarpranowo were analyzed from January to May 2022. This article uses the political image category approach described in Liebhart and Bernhardt's research (2017) as a basis for analysis. From this research, Ganjar Pranowo simplifies political issues in his imagery efforts. In addition, there are indications of three storytelling strategies used in political imagery on the TikTok account: the biographical strategy, the incumbent strategy, and the Kagama chairman strategy.

Abstract

Nowadays, a gas stove is a basic need in every household because it is Government’s Program to convert conventional stove to be gas stove. LPG Gas and its holder are inseparably parts when using gas stove. Even using stove gas has been a compulsion for society for the last many years, however, spark, explosion and fire still happens that are caused by using a gas stove/holder. These circumstances create worry for its users. Therefore, students from the University of Riau under Community Service Program perform training to help the community not be afraid/worry when using stove gas in Sukadamai Village from Bangsal Aceh County in Dumai City – Riau Province. Aim of this service is to educate people in using LPG gas stove or holder and the way to handle the leakage of its LPG gas holder in the right way to overcome any danger if it happens in Sukadamai Village from Bangsal Aceh County. The results of this training show that communities are braver to use gas stoves because at this time they understand how to use the gas stove in the right way and how to handle any danger that could happen. By this training, hopefully people in Sukadamai Village from Bangsal Aceh County are not afraid/worried anymore when using LPG gas stove/holder.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the entrepreneurship learning outcomes in vocational education which is still poor. Technopreneurship scientific learning and learning readiness are assumed to be factors affecting entrepreneurship learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to describe and test the contribution of technopreneurship scientific learning and readiness to learning of entrepreneurship learning outcomes. This research used the quantitative method with correlation descriptive. The population was all students who follow the general course of entrepreneurship in Higher Education for 1100 people. While the samples are 217 students who were selected by using proportional stratified random sampling. This research tool was a Likert scale and a valid and reliable reading comprehension test. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple regression and multiple regressions. The research findings show that there is a contribution of both technopreneurship scientific learning and learning readiness to entrepreneurship learning outcomes.

Abstract

According to the field of expertise, efforts to strengthen the competence of graduates continue to be pursued, especially through optimizing the learning process. Among these efforts is to use learning media that strengthen the competence of the field of study and about thinking skills. This study aims to produce a trainer kit as a medium for learning basic electricity and electronics based on fault-finding in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects. The method used is the Richey and Klein Design and Development (D&D) method which consists of three stages, including planning (design), production, and evaluation. Experts carried out the assessment of the feasibility of the trainer kit with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Abstract

Academic supervision makes vocational high schools able to improve the quality of graduates to be ready to work and able to compete in the job market in people's lives. This paper aims to explore and describe the implementation of quality and supervision of vocational high schools using a qualitative approach. This type of qualitative research with a case study research design. The main target of this research is the supervisor of a vocational school in the city of Padang. This study is limited to a qualitative description of the implementation of quality and supervision of Vocational High Schools. The source of this research data is from key-informant, purposively. Data collection techniques with interview and observation techniques. Analyze data by coding, linking, and interpreting themes. The results of the research are: 1.) Supervisors are not ready to carry out supervision; 2.) The education office is less than optimal in empowering supervisors; 3.) Supervisors are less aggressive in positioning themselves; 4.) The coordinator of supervisors does not carry out his functions optimally; 5.) The low motivation of supervisors; 6.) The distribution of procurement of supervisors is uneven; 7.) The control mechanism for supervisors and the coordinator of supervisors is not working properly; 8.) Reward and punishment do not work; 9.) School visits are just routine; and 10.) Relations with teachers and schools are not well established. The conclusion is that the implementation of academic supervision is still not running optimal and lacks good communication and coordination.

Abstract

A big part of being an entrepreneur is keeping up with modern technological advancements. However, many factors can lead to the ambition to launch an online company. Digital social entrepreneurship methodology examines the effects of college students' entrepreneurial mindset, smartphone usage habits, and Locus of Control on their digital business intentions. This research is fundamental because it provides information to universities that they can use to evaluate their plans for a digital-based entrepreneurship learning model that will help them provide a good education. This study involved 428 respondents, and the data obtained from the respondents were examined using the application of structural equation modeling with a survey approach for this research, which looks at a small portion of the community and collects data through questionnaires. The primary data was examined using SmartPLS 4.0 software and structural equation modeling. This study found that having an entrepreneurial mindset, smartphone use, and locus of control exerts a substantial and meaningful impact on one's aspiration to become a digital entrepreneur. We wanted to find out how college students' thinking about being an entrepreneur affects their desire to become a digital entrepreneur, using smartphone usage habits and locus of control as influencing factors. To make someone who wants to become an entrepreneur, this research needs to measure Digital Entrepreneurial Intention appropriately in students who take Entrepreneurship courses.
