Abstract

This study investigates whether IT integration and company governance can affect the relationship between intellectual capital and company performance in the Indonesian banking sector. That could happen, as there are ever tighter and more numerous competitiveness levels in the banking sector, especially in the field of information technology (IT) and the support given by the top management. This study employs data from 33 banking companies listed on the ISE (Indonesian Stock Exchange) in 2013–2014. The testing was done on the elements of VAICTM (VACA, VAHU, STVA), moderated by IT strategy integration (ITSI) and corporate governance (DK) using the measurement of financial performance (ROA). The findings obtained show that VAHU has a positive effect on financial performance. If the VAICTM element were moderated by ITSI, then a well-integrated IT strategy would weaken the relationship between VACA and banking performance. The limitations of this study lie in the period of the data used, which is limited to 2013– 2014, and in that the component used for testing was done in isolation.

Abstract

Indonesia's current entrepreneurship ratio is relatively low compared to other countries, indicating the need for initiatives to encourage entrepreneurial skills among the youth. This research aims to address the need for increased entrepreneurship in Indonesia, particularly among high school students in the Malang Raya region. The implementation of the community service project has successfully provided valuable entrepreneurship training to high school and vocational students, equipping them with essential knowledge and practical applications of entrepreneurship. The comprehensive training material has ignited enthusiasm and cultivated a strong interest among the participants to engage in entrepreneurial activities. By promoting an entrepreneurial mindset and imparting business strategies, including the Business Model Canvas, the training has accelerated students' understanding and education. Future research should explore different pedagogical approaches in entrepreneurship training, conduct longitudinal studies to track students' progress, and address specific challenges faced by high school and vocational students in starting and running their own businesses. By considering these research directions, entrepreneurship education can be further enhanced, leading to more effective training programs and support for young aspiring entrepreneurs in Malang Raya.

Abstract

The creation of parks as a significant endeavor to enhance the worth of tourism sites has emerged as a prominent phenomenon that garners global attention. The Raja Ampat Geopark has initiated branding efforts to position itself as an exceptionally distinctive tourism attraction in Indonesia. Collaboration amongst stakeholders is essential and cannot be disregarded. This research seeks to ascertain the branding activities involved in establishing the Raja Ampat Geopark, as well as the specific roles played by each partner, utilizing the Penta helix model and collaboration theory. The constructivist paradigm is employed to comprehend the process of knowledge generation inside the Penta helix model. The research findings indicate that successful geopark branding relies on a strong partnership between the government, universities, the tourism industry, local communities, and digital media. Integrating promotion with the preservation of nature and culture in a branding plan effectively enhances awareness and fosters a favorable perception of the Raja Ampat Geopark in a sustainable manner. While the Raja Ampat Geopark has experienced a notable increase in tourism, there are difficulties in effectively managing the balance between this growth and the preservation of the environment, which is crucial for ensuring a sustainable future. This study enhances the progress of geopark development and sustainable tourism by emphasizing the significant role of collaboration and branding based on the Penta helix model. Additional study is required to offer efficient recommendations for the establishment of parks in the future.
