Abstract: This research to improve the learning process and the student’s mathematical understanding skill by Discovery Learning model. The type of this research is Classrom Action Research with two cycles. The subject of this research were students of class VII2 SMPN 5 Pekanbaru. This study was conducted in the second semester of academic year 2017/2018. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments (Syllabus, Lesson Plans, and Student Worksheet) and instruments for collecting data (Observation Sheets and Mathematical-Understanding Tests). The observation sheets were used to find out the data of students and teacher activity during learning process wich would analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, and mathematical understanding test were used to collect the student’s mathematical understanding skill outcomes which would analyzed quantitatively. Based on the analysis of the observation sheets showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Result of the test indicated that the student’s learning achievement for the first is 50,9 improved in cycle I to 75,68 and improved to 85,30 in cycle II. The improvement of student’s learning achievement founded for each indicator of mathematical understanding skill: redefine the concept, appyling the concept logically, and associating various concepts in mathematics. Based on the result above, it can be concluded that the implementation of Discovery Learning model approach can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematical understanding skill outcomes at class VII2 SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Discovery Learning, mathematical understanding skill, learning process

Abstract : The purpose of this research is to improve the learning process and to improve mathematics achievement by applying the cooperative learning technique of jingling studs. The research is classroom action research (PTK) that consist of two cycles and at the end of every cycle carried out mathematics achievement test . The subject of this research is students of class VIII5 SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2015/2016, there are 36 students in the class, consist of 17 boys and 19 girls. Data collecting through observation and written test. The observation was doing for the observation of learning activity of teacher and students, of studentâ€™s attitude and of studentâ€™s skill. While written test which in daily test form was doing to evaluate studentâ€™s knowledge.Base on the result of analysis, the percentage of students passing the Minimun Completeness Criteria (MCC) on base score, daily test I (first cycle), daily test II (second cycle) were respectively 16,76%, 66,67%, and 75%. The percentage of MCC achievement also indicates the increase after the implementation, thus it can be said that the studentsâ€™ learning outcomes also increase. The result of research conclude that applying the cooperative learning technique of jingling studs can improves the learning process and improves mathematics achievement of VIII5 SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2015/2016.Key words : Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning technique of jingling studs, Classroom action research.

Abstract:This research based on the students?mathematics achievement at class XI MS II Senior High School Plus of Riau Province with cooperative learning Think Pair Square (TPS), there are 24 students in the class with 18 are male and 6 female. There are 20 students who achieved the passing grade by the percentage 83,3% for attitude competence. Only 10 students who achieved the pasing grade by percentage 41,6% for knowledge competence and 12 students who achieved the passing grade by the percentage 50% for skill competence for the main discussion about relevancy with algebraic operations on matrix. The research is classroom action research. This aims research to increase learning process and students? math achievement at class VIII.2 SMPN 4 Tapungthrough the implentation cooperative learning model of structural Two Stay Two Stray.The subject of the research are 24 students from class XI MS II Senior High School Plus of Riau Province with the heterogenous level. Instrument to collect the data are observation, attitude assessment sheet, skill assessment sheet and mathematics achivement test. The observation data analyzed by using descriptive and qualitative,and for students?test by using descriptiveand quantitative. The qualitative analysis showed an improvement of learning process prior to action to the first cycle and second cycle. The results of this research showed an increase in students achievement for attitude competence from the based-score with the percentage 83,3% to 87,5% on the first cycle and 100% on the second cycle. For knowledge competence showed an increase from the based-score with the percentage 41,6% to 62,5% on the first cycle and 83,3% on the second cycle. And for skills competence showed an increase from the based-score with the percentage 50% to 62,5% on the first cycle and 87,5% on the second cycle. Based on the finding can be concluded that the implentation of cooperative learning model Think Pair Square could improve students? mathematics achievement at class XI MS II Senior High School Plus of Riau Province in the first semester academic years 2014/2015.Key Word : Students? Abstract: This research was based on the students achievement in learning mathematics especially grade VIII2 of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Apit under the Mastery Minimum Criteria with percentage of 40,74% on the test about Tribe Factorization Algebra. This research is a class action research. This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning result in mathematics in grade VIII2 of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Apit by that applying the cooperative learning model of structural approach Think Pair Share (TPS). The subject of this research were the students in the class VIII2 of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Apit that consist of 14 boys and 13 girls at the first semester of academic year 2016/2017. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and student?s mathematic tests. The activity of teacher and students showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematic from the basic score with percentage 40,74% to 59,25% on the first test and 70,37% on second test. The frequency distribution analysis as well showed an improvement student achievement are increasing the number of student who received higher criteria on the first test and second test compared the number of student who received higher criteria on the basic score. On the enaugh criteria, the number of student at interval 41-60 descreased from basic score to the first test and second test. Furtehrmore, on the higher criteria, the number of student at interval 81-100 increased from basic score to first test and second test. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that that applying the cooperative learning model of structural approach Think Pair Share (TPS) can improve the learning process and improve the student?s achievement of learning mathematic in grade VIII2 of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Apit in the first semester academic years 2016/2017.

Abstract : The background of this research is the low ability of students' problem solving of mathematics which causes the low result of the mathematics students learning. This research used experiment and use design non-equivalent control group design. Population in this research is ll of the first grade students in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. Sample of this research consists of two classes, there are class VII6 as the class experiment and VII5 as the class control. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of applying realistic mathematics eduacation approach to students' ability in mathematics problem solving in KD 3.4 Explain and state the sets, subsets, universe sets, empty sets, complement of sets and perfom binary operation on set using contextual problem and KD 4.4 Complete contextual problems related to the sets, subset, the universe sets, the empty sets, the complement of the sets, and the binary operations in the set. The research instrument used is the test of early mathematics ability obtained from the daily test in previous KD and test of mathematics problem solving (posttest). The result of the early mathematics ability test is used to determination the class sample. The result of the posttest were analyzed using the parametric statistical test of difference of two averages and the magnitude of influence calculated using Cohen's formula. The results of this reseach show that the applying realistics mathematics eduation approach give positive influence to students' ability in mathematics problem solving. The influence of realistics mathematics education approach has an impact of 76% on the problem solving ability of firat grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru and included in the medium category.Key Word : Realistics Mathematics Education, Ability in Math problem solving

Abstract : The 2013 curriculum is a curriculum that directs students to be actively in the learning process. This research is based on the limited reference of teachers to develop learning devices that are corresponding with the 2013 Curriculum. This research aims to produce learning devices in the form of Syllabus, Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), and Student Worksheets (LKPD) with the Discovery Learning model on the flat side space subject 8th grade student of Junior High School that meet valid and practical requirements. The development model in this research is 4-D with the steps are Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The learning device products that have been made are validated by three validators. The average analysis result of the Syllabus validation data is 3.56 in the very valid category which means that the Syllabus is feasible to use and the average value for the RPP is 3.59 and LKPD is 3.64 in the very valid category which means that the RPP and LKPD are worth testing. Valid learning devices have been tested on small groups and large groups. The average results of the analysis of small group trial data is 3.42 and large group trial data is 3.30 which shows a very practical category. The average results of the analysis of observational data on the implementation of learning corresponding to the lesson plan is 2.95, including a very practical category which means that the lesson plan and worksheet are feasible to be used in schools.Key Words: Mathematics Learning Devices, 2013 Curriculum, Discovery Learning, Scientific.

Abstract This research aimed to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes in SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru by implementing Structural Approach to Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Subjects of the research were students grade VIII5 who have the academic ability of the heterogeneous. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle has four stages, the stages are planning, action, observation and reflection. The results show the activity of teachers and students have done well after doing the action. There was enchanment in the number of students who achieved KKM (minimum criteria of achievement) in formative test at the end of each cycle is compared to the number of students who achieve KKM on base score. Starting from 22,5% increased to 35% and increased to 62,5%. There was also an increasing in the number of students who scored 20 and 30 is compared to the development of the number of students who received grades 5 and 10. Results of this research indicate that the application of Structural Approach to Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students grade VIII5 SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic year 2013/2014. Abstract: The background of this research is the low outcomes study of mathematical of students class XI MAN 3 Pekanbaru. The purposes of this research are (1) to describe the difference of mathematical outcomes study of students who study through discovery learning (DL) model with student who study through conventional learning with scientific approaching; (2) to describe the improvment of mathematical outcomes study of students who study through discovery learning (DL) model with students who study through conventional learning with scientific approaching. This research is an experimental research (quasi experiment) with The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population of this research is all students of class XI MAN 3 Pekanbaru. The sample of this research consits of two classes, class XI MIA2 as experiment class and XI MIA1 as control class. The research instruments are mathematical prior knowledge test and matehmatical outcomes study test. Mathematical prior knowledge test score were used to select the sample of this research. Data were analysed by using Independent sample t-test preceded by normality test and homogenity of variances test. The result showed that the difference of mathematical and the improvement of mathematical outcomes study of students who study through DL model is higher than student who study through conventional learning with scientific approaching. Abstract: This research was based on the students achievement in learning mathematics especially grade VIII1 of SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru under the Mastery Minimum Criteria with percentage of 43,6% on the test about cube, cuboid, prism, pyramid. Beside, this research was based on the low of students learning activity with the percentage of 60,53% of students still looks passive in the process of learning math. This research is a class action research. This research aims to improve the leraning activities students and learning result in mathematics in grade VIII1 of SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru by implementation of CTL approach. The analyzed in quantitive showed there is an increase in againts the seven indicators of the activity of student learning. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematic from the basic score with percentage 38,46% to 68,42% on the test I and 81,58% on the test II. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of CTL Approach can improve the students learning activity and student’s achievement of learning mathematic in grade VIII1 of SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2016/2017.

Abstract: This classroom action research is aimed at improving learning process and improving mathematics learning outcomes by implementing Cooperative Learning with Think Pair Square Approach. The research subjects are 24 heterogenous academic ability level students of the VIII1 class students at MTsN Muara Fajar in academic year of 2016/2017. The research consisted of two cycles in which each cycle consisted of four phases, i.e; namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. By the end of a cycle, daily test was held. The data was collected by means of observation and daily test. The action success indicators were if there is learning process improvement and the increasing number of students passing Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC) in daily test I and daily test II. The research shows that teachers and students’ activities were conducted well as planned. Most of the students participated actively in the learning process e.g. discussing, presenting student’s worksheet, responding to classmate’s presentation, and drawing the lesson conclusion. Additionally, the students afforded to answer the written test given by teacher well. Therefore, it can be said that improvement of learning process took place in every meeting. Furthermore, the number of students passing the MCC on base score, daily test I (first cycle), daily test II (second cycle) were respectively 6 students (25%), 7 students (29,2%), dan 12 students (50%). The percentage of MCC achievement also indicates the increase after the implementation, thus it can be said that the students’ learning outcomes also increase. Finally, the research also shows that cooperative learning with Think Pair Square approach can improve mathematic learning process and learning outcomes of VIII1 class students at MTsN Muara Fajar.Key Words: Math Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning with Think Pair Square Approach, Classroom Action Research.
