Abstract

Abstract: This classroom action research is aimed at improving learning process and improving mathematics learning outcomes by implementing Cooperative Learning with Think Pair Square Approach. The research subjects are 24 heterogenous academic ability level students of the VIII1 class students at MTsN Muara Fajar in academic year of 2016/2017. The research consisted of two cycles in which each cycle consisted of four phases, i.e; namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. By the end of a cycle, daily test was held. The data was collected by means of observation and daily test. The action success indicators were if there is learning process improvement and the increasing number of students passing Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC) in daily test I and daily test II. The research shows that teachers and students’ activities were conducted well as planned. Most of the students participated actively in the learning process e.g. discussing, presenting student’s worksheet, responding to classmate’s presentation, and drawing the lesson conclusion. Additionally, the students afforded to answer the written test given by teacher well. Therefore, it can be said that improvement of learning process took place in every meeting. Furthermore, the number of students passing the MCC on base score, daily test I (first cycle), daily test II (second cycle) were respectively 6 students (25%), 7 students (29,2%), dan 12 students (50%). The percentage of MCC achievement also indicates the increase after the implementation, thus it can be said that the students’ learning outcomes also increase. Finally, the research also shows that cooperative learning with Think Pair Square approach can improve mathematic learning process and learning outcomes of VIII1 class students at MTsN Muara Fajar.Key Words: Math Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning with Think Pair Square Approach, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning process and learning outcomes math class VIII SMPN 11 Pinggir by applying Cooperative learning model Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type. The subjects were students of class VIII A with heterogen academic ability. This research is a class action with two cycles. Each cycle has four steps, the steps are the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Results showed activity sheets and teacher observation of students have done well after taking action. There is an improvement in thestudents learning process and an increase in the number of students who achieved at UH minimum completeness criteria end of each cycle compared to the number of students who achieve minimum completeness criteria on base score. Abstract

Abstract: This research is conducted based on the unsatisfied process in learning mathematics at grade VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru. It was seen from the low motivation of the students to learn mathematics whilethe learning process. These problems impact on the number of students who pass KD 4.1 Determine the elements and parts of the circle; 4.2 Counting the circumference of a circle; And 4.3 Using the relationship of center angle, arc length, area of juring in problem solving test with percentage of 47,6%. The research was a Classroom Action Research that aims to improve the learning process and increase the motivation of the students to learn mathematics by implementing Cooperative Learning Approach Structural of Numbered Heads Together (NHT). There were 42 students in the class consisting 21 boys and 21 girls as the participant of this research. The instruments of data collecting in this research were observation sheets (observation of teacher and students activity and observation of students motivation) and the motivation questionnaire. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the motivation questionnaire were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process and the motivation of students to learn mathematics at grade VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru better after the action than before the action. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test for all indicators of motivation questionnaire obtained Z = -3,858, so that = 0,0001 < α = 0,05 and for each indicator of the motivation to learn mathematics obtained . From this test is rejected, in other words, the motivation to learn mathematics at grade VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru increased after the action. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of Cooperative Learning Approach Structural of NHT can improved the learning process and increased motivation to learn mathematics at grade VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru on second semester of academic year 2015/2016.Key Words : Motivation to Learn Mathematics, Cooperative Learning ApproachStructural of Think Pair Square, Classroom Action Research2

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Discovery Learning model. This research was conducted in class VII1 of SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru in the 2019/2020 odd semester school year. The subjects of this study were 40 students consisting of 21 male students and 19 female students. The study was done in two cycles with each cycle consisting of three meetings and one repetition every day. The research instrument used was a learning device and data collection instrument. Learning tools consist of syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheet. Data collection instruments consisted of observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. Based on data analysis of teacher and student activities, it appears that there is an improvement in the learning process after the Discovery Learning model is applied. The data obtained from the student mathematics learning achievement test shows that the competence of knowledge decreased the frequency of students at low and very low intervals from the base score (8 students) to the UH I score (4 students) and to the UH II score (2 students) as well as an increase in the frequency of students at high and very high intervals base score (21 students) to UH I score (34 students) and to UH II score (37 students). The competence of skills decreased the frequency of students at low and very low intervals from the base score (8 students) to the UH I score (6 students) and to the UH II score (4 students) as well as an increase in the frequency of students at high and very high intervals base score (21 students) to UH I score (23 students) and to UH II score (30 students).This study results indicate that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model can improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII1 students of SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Classroom Action Research, Discovery Learning Model, Mathematical Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract : This research aimed to develop computer-based mathematics learning media model are valid to help students to understand the topic of rectangular.This research and development use development model by Borg and Gall modified by Sugiyono. The steps of this research and development  are find the potentials and problems that must to do analyzed first. And then, find the informations by study of literature. Product design  is through two stages,  that are make paper based design first and then computer based. The programs that used for product design of computer based are program frontpage, microsoft power point and photoshop. Learning media is validated by three experts or validators and further revised based on the input from validators. The revised learning media is tested on two stages, that are a small group consist of five students of class VII and a large group consist of forty students from SMPN 4 Pekanbaru. Based on the analysis of data and discussion can be concluded that computer-based mathematics learning media is already valid with an average value of 3.17 by materials validator and 3.18 by media validator. This computer-based mathematics learning media is also already qualified practicalities with an average of 97,92% on a small test group and 99,22% in the large group test. Key Words : Computer-based Learning Media, Development, Rectangular

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes by applying the discovery learning model. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, each of which consists of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were students of class VII 2 SMPN 4 Mandau in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year which consisted of 18 male students and 14 female students. The data collection instruments in this study were the observation sheet and the mathematics learning result test sheet. The observation sheet was analyzed qualitatively, while the mathematics learning outcome test was analyzed quantitatively by descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate that the quality of each encounter with the discovery learning model is getting better for each cycle and the percentage of the frequency of students who reach the KKM in the knowledge aspect at the basic score, PH I, and PH II respectively 37.5%, 12.5%, and 21. , 88%, as well as the percentage of the frequency of students who reached the KKM in the skills aspect of PH I and PH II, 28.13% and 56.25%, respectively. Thus the results of this study indicate that the application of the discovery learning model can improve the learning process and does not improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII.2 students of SMPN 4 Mandau in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year on the subject matter of the set.Key Words: Mathematics Achievement, Discovery Learning Model, Class Action Research

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning terintegrasi keterampilan Abad 21 untuk peserta didik kelas X SMA yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model Plomp. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga fase yaitu: (1) fase investigasi awal (preliminary research); (2) fase prototipe (prototyping phase); dan (3) fase penilaian (assessment phase). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yaitu silabus, RPP, dan LKPD yang divalidasi oleh tiga validator, uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada enam peserta didik kelas X SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. Hasil validasi dari ketiga validator menyatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran adalah valid dengan rata-rata 3,40 untuk silabus; 3,49 untuk RPP; 3,52 untuk LKPD; 3,46 untuk soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif, hasil angket respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD yaitu 87,04%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis keterampilan abad 21 dengan penerapan model Problem Based Learning untuk peserta didik pada materi aturan sinus dan cosinus kelas X SMA dinyatakan sangat valid dan sangat praktis.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan bahan ajar berbasis kontekstual pada materi fungsi untuk  meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Rambah. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research & Development)  menggunakan  model pengembangan Bord and Gall  Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi, lembar angket respon peserta didik dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis (KPMM).Persentase rata-rata hasil validasi bahan ajar panduan peserta didik  adalah 81,09 % dengan kategori sangat valid dan persentase bahan ajar panduan guru adalah 87,01% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil angket repon peserta didik terhadap bahan ajar sebesar 84,05 % dengan kategori sangat praktis dan tidak ada revisi lagi sehingga bahan ajar praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi fungsi. Hasil uji coba  bahan ajar berdasarkan tes KPMM peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata KPMM peserta didik kelas eksperimen (89,16) lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol (67,97). Berdasarkan tingkat kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan maka pengembangan bahan ajar matematika berbasis kontekstual dapat meningkatkan KPMM peserta didik pada  materi fungsi.The purpose of this study is to produce contextual-based teaching materials on function materials to improve the mathematical problem solving capabilities of students in Grade X of Sma Negeri 1 Rambah. This type of research isresearch & development using Bord and Gall development model. Research instruments in the form of validation sheets, questionnaires of students' responses and tests of mathematical problem solving skills (KPMM). The percentageof rata-average teacher guide teaching material validation results is 81.09% with a very valid category and the percentage of teacher guide teaching materials is 87.01% with a very valid category. The results of the student repon questionnaire on teaching materials amounted to 84.05% with very practical categories and no revisions so that practical teaching materials were used in the learning of mathematical function materials. The results of the teaching materials trial based on the KPMM test of the learners showed that the average score of the experiment class students (89.16) was higher than in the control class (67.97). Based on the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness, the development of contextual-based mathematical teachingmaterials can increase the KPMM of students in fungsi materials.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve of learning process and to improve mathematics achievement with applied the learning Search Solve Create Share (SSCS) model. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject is student of class XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota in academic years 2018/2019, which total to 31 students. The instruments of data collection were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitatively, while the students Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitatively. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process after to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and active in learning process, they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to first test I and II. The results of this research showed an increasing of students achievement where the basic score (25,81%) to the first test (48,39%) to the second test (74,19%). For the achievement of score the first test (41,93%) to the second test (87,09%). Results of this research indicates that application of the learning SSCS model can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement of the students at class XI IPS 1 SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota in academic years 2018/2019 for the subject matter linear programming and matrix.Key Words : Mathematics Achievement, Search Solve Create Share (SSCS)

Abstract

Absrtract: The development of science and technology is very influential on the quality of human resources. Quality of human resources derived from the learning process, that is through education. Education is closely related to the development of the curriculum. The 2013 curriculum focuses on students' understanding and activity. The study is based on the limited learning tools of mathematics as a supporter of learning. This study aims to produce a learning device based on discovery learning mathematics on prism and limas material for students of class VIII junior high school that is valid and practical to use. This research is a development research with ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results showed that the learning tools developed have been valid indicated by the results of design of learning implementation (RPP) and students activity sheet (LKS) assessment with the criterion "valid". Work sheet developed are practically demonstrated by the results of the students' assessment with the criteria of "very practical". The learning tools of mathematics developed have the following characteristics: (a) the learning activities contain the steps of the discovery learning model consisting of stimulation / stimulation, problem identification, data collection, data processing, verification, and conclusion; and (b) contains a scientific approach consisting of questioning, observing, questioning, collecting information, reasoning, and concluding.Keywords: Learning Tool, Discovery Learning, Curriculum 2013, Scientific Approach
