Abstract

Islamic refreshes in the conflicting eastern worlds such as Egypt, India, Turkey, and Pakistan have had the same impact in Indonesia. This update is due to the resentment and dissatisfaction of the figures with the educational system that has been running. This research aims to learn about Ahmad Dahlan's educational methodology and his thoughts about how education should be carried out which will have implications for contemporary education in Indonesia, including in the LPQ Darul Muta’allimin Semarang. The research is done through a case study. The data obtained is sourced from the interview, participant observation, documentation, and also from textbooks, scientific articles, and journals as supportive data. Data is analyzed through Creswell's technique which preparing, reading, coding, describing, and interpreting data. The research findings showed that Ahmad Dahlan one of the pioneers of Islamic education in Indonesia, combines the educational system of the boarding schoolhat only studies the science of religion, with the system of education that is secular colonial and only studies general science. Ahmad Dahlan's educational methodology is the method of lectures, analogy, discussion or questioning, democratic humanistic methods, and methods of practice. The implications of Ahmad Dahlam's educational methodology in contemporary education in Indonesia are the consolidation of religious education subjects as a compulsory curriculum in schools.LPQ Darul Mutaallimin as a Quranic educational institution through the obligation to own an operational permit, has been recognized by the government and has the same rights as other formal educational institutions. On the other hand, Ahmad Dahlan reforms also the emergence of Indonesia's first private hospital as a result of the al-maun movement, as well as the establishment of schools that specialize in specific fields.

Abstract

J.M.S. Baljon's ideas in the study of Quranic interpretation provide significant contributions through the historical-critical approach it employs. As an orientalist, Baljon explored the historical context of revelation and challenged the traditional interpretations that have long dominated the Islamic world. This approach opens up space to understand the Quran from a broader and more dynamic perspective, which not only considers theological aspects but also historical and sociological dimensions. This research is a narrative study about Baljon J.M.S and his thoughts. This research uses qualitative narrative study through the analysis of books and articles that contain information about Baljon. This analysis demonstrates how Baljon uses critical methods to assess the authenticity and relevance of traditional interpretations in a modern context. However, Baljon's approach has faced criticism, particularly regarding the use of Western assumptions that are considered less relevant to Islamic tradition. These criticisms include concerns about the potential bias and generalization that might overlook the complexity of interpreting the Qur'an. Nevertheless, Baljon's ideas remain relevant in fostering dialogue between Islamic tradition and Orientalist studies, as well as enriching the discourse of exegesis with critical perspectives that can deepen the understanding of sacred texts in contemporary contexts.

This research examines the impact of the Jigsaw teaching approach, class activeness and level of understanding on student learning outcomes in the practice of robotic systems at SMKN 8 Tangerang City. Utilizing a quasi-experimental framework alongside a quantitative method, the research included two groups: one experimental and the other control. The analysis of data was carried out using SPSS version 25 and Microsoft Excel. The results showed that class engagement and level of understanding had a significant influence on student learning outcomes. Simple regression tests showed that class engagement contributed 81% (R² = 0.810) and comprehension level 78.7% (R² = 0.787) to learning outcomes. The multiple regression test showed the combination of these two variables contributed 85.6% (R² = 0.856). The Wilcoxon test showed the Jigsaw method effectively improved learning outcomes with a significance value of 0, without a decrease in scores on the posttest and the majority of students experienced an increase with an average positive rating of 32.00.

Abstract

This family genre film tells the story of the old age of a mother named Siti (Christine Hakim), who feels lonely, because her children are busy with their own affairs. Plus, Siti's body was weakening because she was suffering from cancer. In the midst of longing for her children, Siti takes care of a homeless person named Murni (Ayu Shita) who suffers from ODGJ and is heavily pregnant. His presence made Siti's days more colorful. The film Just Mom shows that work born from the heart will be conveyed to the heart by the unrequited love a mother has for her children. And from humanizing a mother comes her love and affection throughout the masses. Using qualitative methods, this research involves observing films to identify the soul of a mother in her love for humans, both for her children and the people she cares about. This research is very, very important in upholding a mother's love which is not reciprocated by money, in fact mother's love conquers everything and cannot be replaced if mother's love in humanizing humans if one day is gone.

Abstract

Film is a type of work of art that has extraordinary appeal to people throughout the world. Apart from being entertainment, films also function to convey stories, messages and emotions to the audience. This research examines the film YOLO (2024) which raises the issue of body shaming, especially towards individuals with larger body sizes. Body shaming is a social phenomenon that often gives rise to stigma and discrimination and creates a deep negative impact on the mental and emotional health of the individual who is the victim. This research aims to analyze scenes that contain symbolic meaning that reflect negative attitudes and behavior towards the individual, which often causes discomfort and decreased self-confidence in the victim. Using qualitative methods and using a critical paradigm with John Fiske's semiotic analysis, this research involves rare – systematic steps such as film observation, identification of body shaming issues through coding data scenes, and data reduction to focus on related aspects. The research results showed that body shaming behavior depicted in the film caused feelings of discomfort and low self-confidence, thus affecting the victim's ability to socialize and interact with other people around them. This research emphasizes the importance of rejecting such behavior and encouraging inclusive attitudes towards body diversity.

Abstract

Background: Emotional behavior in children is rarely addressed through early screening, despite its importance in child development. The family plays a central role; however, prior studies vary in the family aspects they examine, with some factors receiving more attention than others. This review aims to synthesize which family-related determinants are most frequently studied about children’s emotional behavior. Method: A literature search was conducted using the keywords “family” AND “child*” AND “emotional OR behavior” AND “internalizing OR externalizing,” limited to English-language, full-text, open-access articles published between 2020 and 2025. Databases included ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The PICO framework guided the research question. A total of 1,449 articles were initially identified. Elicit (elicit.com) was used to assist the screening and selection process. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, seven articles were eligible for review. Result: The seven studies examined various family-related factors influencing children’s emotional and behavioral outcomes. Recurring themes included parenting style, family conflict, parenting stress, parental mental health, and family structure. Supportive parenting, consistent routines, and a positive emotional climate were associated with better emotional regulation, while harsh discipline, conflict, and poor parental mental health were linked to greater emotional and behavioral problems. Some studies identified mediating or moderating factors such as resilience, sleep quality, and neural responses, reflecting the complex interplay between family environments and child development. Conclusion: Children’s emotional and behavioral development is shaped by multiple interrelated family factors. Interventions should be multidimensional, addressing parenting practices, caregiver mental health, and household stability to support child well-being.
