Abstract

Studies on children’s concepts of health and illness mostly took focus on the views of healthy children. As children living with HIV face different challenges, it is essential to gain more understanding on their views on health and illness. The study used a guided drawing activity followed by a semi-structured interview. Thematic coding was done to analyze of the interview data. There were three categories formed both on the concepts of health and illness: The biomedical, psychosocial, and healthy lifestyle representation. To children living with HIV, the concepts hospitals, hospitalization, medications, doctors, and symptoms of being sick are common to them. Children revealed the emotional fatigue from being regularly sick and hospitalized, being discriminated and having to pay medical bills as consequence of having poor health. On the other hand, children also acknowledged the positive consequences of being healthy (e.g. playing without being discriminated, being able to celebrate the next birthdays). The study concluded that the ongoing health education programs for children with HIV should incorporate the positive consequences of being healthy, instead of focusing heavily on medical-related topics. Having a positive outlook will hopefully motivate these children to adhere to their medications and therefore improve their quality of life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' misconceptions about acid-base equilibrium and salt hydrolysis using instruments from [1]. This research is descriptive-quantitative, and the subjects of this study were students of classes XI and XII MIPA at one of the State Madrasah Aliyah in west Jakarta in the 2022/2023 school year. Data was collected using the two-tier multiple-choice web-based misconception diagnostic test. Based on the results of the study, it was found that in class XI, there were 80% of students who did not understand and 15% of students had the wrong concept on acid-base material, while in class XII, 72% did not understand and 24% of students had the wrong concept on acid-base material. The answers with the most misconceptions were found in acid-base question number 4, where 76% of students cannot choose which, ionic group can be together with a solution that is at room temperature under conditions of H+ ion concentration in a solution ionized by water of 1 x 10–13 mol/L and the reason for the proper explanation. Students tend to only understand what acid-base or hydrolysis salts are without strengthening their deeper concepts.

Abstract

So far in physics subjects, especially material that contain many formulas, students have complained about difficulties in accepting the material. This is because the learning model and learning media used are still not in accordance with the material provided. The study aimed to analyze surveys about learning model used in physics lesson and tests using indicators of creative thinking ability specially on the material elasticity. This research is preliminary research with a descriptive research design. This research does not use a hypothetical test design but rather a description research project. The study was conducted on 181 students consisting of: 78 male students and 103 female students. The study uses three instruments to gather data, i.e. a.) a creative thinking test instrument of four indicators flexibility, elaboration, originality and fluency on material elasticity and Hooke law, b.) teacher interview sheet about learning model used in physics lesson, c.) student questionnaire about perspective of physics lesson, learning models and learning media. The results showed the creative thinking ability of students still belongs to the low category. The implication is that teachers must be able to apply appropriate learning models and learning media in the process so that students are able to receive the material well and have the ability to think creatively.

Abstract

Film merupakan audio visual dan juga media komunikasi yang cukup terkenal dijaman sekarang, serta film telah menjadi salah satu media komunikasi yang cukup berpengaruh dalam masyarakat. Film dapat mempengaruhi pandangan dan sikap penonton terhadap berbagai isu moral. Pesan moral yang terdapat dalam film tidak hanya mencerminkan pandangan pembuat film tetapi dapat mempengaruhi dan membentuk nilai masyarakat. Film yang kaya akan pesan moral dapat digunakan sebagai media pendidikan, pembentuk karakter, dan refleksi sosial. Karena film dapat membangkitkan emosi ataupun mempengaruhi tindakan penonton dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu film yang mengandung pesan moral yaitu Film Rumah Masa Depan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan cara pesan moral direpresentasikan pada film Rumah Masa Depan. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis semiotika John Fiske melalui level realitas, level representasi, dan level ideologi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan representasi pesan moral dalam film Rumah Masa Depan yang dilihat dari tiga level yang dikemukakan John Fiske. Pada level realitas, pesan moral dapat dilihat dari aspek penampilan, perilaku, cara berbicara, ekspresi, dan riasan. Pada level representasi, yang menggambarkan pesan moral tercermin melalui aspek kamera, pencahayaan, dialog, dan backsound. Level ideologi dapat disimpulkan, penggambaran pesan moral yang ada pada film Rumah Masa Depan adalah ideologi individual yang positif.

Abstract

Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Services Business (UPJA) is a rural economic entity that provides services to improve farming equipment and machinery (alsintan). UPJA's good performance will satisfy consumers (farmers). The purpose of this survey was to discover how satisfied farmers were with UPJA services. The method employed was descriptive, with IPA-Kano integrated analysis. The data was gathered through interviews and the distribution of questionnaires to 90 UPJA clients from three classes: Beginner, Developing, and Professional. The results revealed that clients were Quite Satisfied in the Beginner class, Very Satisfied in the Developing class, and Satisfied in the Professional class. The Beginner class's priorities for increasing service were the diversity of machinery, its adequacy, and the number of staff. In the Developing and Professional classes, advertising attributes, personal protective equipment utilization, and team member uniforms were prioritized for service improvement. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Swasta Al Ma’sum Kisaran dalam memproduksi video kreatif Islami yang edukatif dan relevan dengan perkembangan teknologi digital. Pelatihan ini dirancang sebagai respons terhadap kebutuhan generasi muda untuk memanfaatkan teknologi secara produktif, khususnya dalam menyebarkan nilai-nilai Islam melalui media digital. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahapan penyampaian materi, praktik pembuatan video, dan pendampingan teknis. Materi yang diberikan mencakup pengenalan konsep videografi, teknik dasar pengambilan gambar, penggunaan aplikasi pengeditan video, serta strategi penyampaian pesan Islami yang efektif. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh siswa kelas XII dan yang menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam seluruh rangkaian pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa para peserta berhasil memproduksi video kreatif Islami dengan tema yang beragam, seperti edukasi agama, motivasi Islami, dan pesan moral. Selain itu, pelatihan ini juga mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai pentingnya konten Islami dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi pengembangan potensi kreatif siswa dan menjadi langkah awal dalam mendorong generasi muda untuk memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai sarana dakwah dan penyebaran nilai-nilai Islam. Keberlanjutan program ini dapat diwujudkan melalui pendampingan berkelanjutan dan kolaborasi dengan institusi pendidikan lainnya.

Abstract

Humans are social beings who have a biological need to reproduce through a bond of love commitment, namely marriage. This can be learned through a film that was shown in theaters in 2024, namely entitled Dua Hati Biru, which aims to understand this meaning. The data collection method in compiling the Final Assignment is the method of observation, interviews, and literature studies with the analysis method in the form of qualitative analysis, namely the data analysis method without using statistical analysis. After conducting this research, communication symbols were found according to John Fiske with his semiotic method that about the love commitment presented in the scenes of the Dua Hati Biru film, such as moments when couples understand each other, support and help each other's difficulties. This is an implied meaning that the film wants to convey that when someone commits to love with their partner, actions will appear that support the commitment itself so that communication in the husband and wife relationship runs well

Abstract

Stunted It refers to a situation where a child's height or body length is below -2 standard deviations (SD) referencing the WHO growth and development standards, which arises from lack of inadequate nutritional intake. The main focus of this investigation is to investigate the research investigates the association between knowledge and prevelance rates of stunted in Kedunglumpang Village and Dukuh Mojo Village. This research employs a quantitative approach using an employing a case-control methodology. The study subject consists of children aged 2 – 5 years who lived in Kedunglumpang Village and Dukuh Mojo Village. This study involved 100 samples with 53 case samples and 47 control samples obtained using consecutive sampling the method employed utilized a questionnaire as the primary instrument from previous research. The methodological analysis method the statistical significance was assessed using chi-square. The findings indicate the statistical test yielded a p-value of 0.028, which less than α (0.05), indicating a statistically significant result, indicating a significant association between low birth weight and the risk of stunted. Similarly, the results of the quantitative analysis test for the level of knowledge showed a p-value of 0.009, meaning also below the threshold of α (0.05), indicating a significant correlational analysis knowledge level and the incidence of stunted. The odds ratio (OR) for the level of knowledge, Results indicate statistical significance at the 95% confidence level, is 4.141. This suggests that the case the group is 4.141 results suggest an increased risk stunted relative to the control group

Abstract

Utilization of waste for raw materials for new materials is very potential for research. Wood waste from door and window craftsmen is widely available as the property business develops. Wood waste mixed with polyester resin is modified by adding basalt to produce a biocomposite material with better mechanical properties. This research on the effect of adding the composition and size of basalt to the wood-polyester biocomposite material was studied to see changes in hardness values according to the ASTM E384 standard, compressive strength according to ASTM D695 standard, and its effect on density according to ASTM D1622 standard. The results showed that the higher the composition and the smaller the basalt hardness value, the compressive strength and density increased. The highest values of hardness, compressive strength and density were 36.6 HV0.5, 151.14 MPa, and 0.1420 kg/m3, an increase compared to that without the addition of basalt 26.7 HV0.5, 95.97 MPa, and 0.1288 kg/m3. Changes in the properties of hardness, compressive strength and density are taken into consideration in the formulation of using basalt to obtain new materials according to the desired specifications by utilizing wood waste.

Abstract

Visi dan Misi Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Kulonprogo Yogyakarta dalam implementasi manajemen strategic yang dilauakn dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Visi Misi dan mengkaji implementasi manajemen strategi pendidikan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Kulonprogo. Penelitian ini bersifat studi kasus yang mengumpulkandata tentang wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa implementasi manajemen strategik terkait visi dan misi Madrasah Ibtidaiyah dan stekholder dengan melakukan analisi swot. Dilanjutkan dengan menentukan target yang ingin di capai, kemudian diikuti dengan penentuan strategi yang akan di gunakan oleh madrasah demi terealisasinya semua target mutu yang telah di rumuskan dan di sepakati. Implementasi strategi terkait visi dan misi Madrasah Ibtidaiyah yang dilakukan di MIN 1 Kulonprogo yaitu dengan membuat tim tim tiap bidang untuk melaksanakan semua strategi yang sudah di buat dalam bentuk kegiatan kegiatan terprogram dan terukur. Evaluasi yang di gunakan oleh MIN 1 kulonprogo yaitu dengan mengadakan rapat formal mingguan.
