Abstract

Kawasan mangrove di Kabupaten Tangerang adalah kawasan mangrove dalam proses rehabilitasi, yang merupakan upaya dalam mengatasi permasalahan degradasi mangrove, salah satunya karena alih fungsi lahan. Umumnya, alih fungsi lahan di kawasan mangrove Kabupaten Tangerang dijadikan sebagai lahan tambak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis mangrove, indeks nilai penting, dan penutupan mangrove yang berada di kawasan mangrove alami dan rehabilitasi Kabupaten Tangerang. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Februari hingga Maret 2022 ditiga desa (stasiun) yaitu Desa Ketapang, Desa Patramanggala, dan Desa Tanjung Pasir, Kabupaten Tangerang. Pengambilan data vegetasi mangrove berdasarkan tiga kategori yaitu pohon pada transek berukuran 10 × 10 m2, anakan pada transek berukuran 5 × 5 m2, dan semai pada transek berukuran 2 × 2 m2. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan ditemukan lima jenis mangrove dari tiga desa (stasiun) yaitu Avicennia marina, Avicennia alba, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa, dan Bruguiera cylindrica. Penutupan mangrove tertinggi di Desa Tanjung Pasir sebesar 80,99% yang dijumpai pada substasiun 3, masuk dalam kriteria baik dan sangat padat. Penutupan mangrove terendah di Desa Tanjung Pasir terdapat pada substasiun 2 yaitu 34,91%, masuk dalam kategori rusak dan jarang. Persen tutupan mangrove tertinggi dari tiga desa (stasiun) yaitu terdapat pada substasiun 3 berdasarkan Kepmen LH No. 201 tahun 2004 masuk kedalam kategori baik dan sangat padat. Kata kunci: mangrove, pesisir, penutupan kanopi.

Abstract

Efektivitas pengelolaan mangrove sangat bergantung pada pengetahuan tentang kondisi mangrove dan lingkungannya yang direpresentasikan dengan indeks kesehatan mangrove dan indeks kualitas lingkungan mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi ekologi mangrove di kawasan SPTN III (Pulau Karya, Pulau Panggang, dan Pulau Pramuka) kawasan Taman Nasional Kepulauan Seribu (Balai Taman Nasional Kepulauan Seribu) untuk menentukan strategi pengelolaan yang potensial. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tahun 2020. Analisis yang dilakukan adalah kesehatan mangrove dan kualitas lingkungan mangrove. Kepadatan mangrove pada kategori pancang di seluruh pulau termasuk kategori sangat rapat, sedangkan kategori tumbuh pohon dan semai hanya ditemukan di beberapa tempat. Nilai kualitas lingkungan mangrove menunjukkan bahwa kualitas lingkungan mangrove di ketiga pulau tersebut termasuk dalam kategori tinggi (baik). Indeks kesehatan mangrove di ketiga pulau tersebut sebaliknya termasuk dalam kategori rendah (buruk), meskipun di beberapa tempat mangrove menunjukkan kerapatan yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, penanaman kembali mangrove merupakan strategi yang paling direkomendasikan untuk SPTN III.

Abstract

This paper explores how the coastal community of Sangihe Island, North Sulawesi, Indonesia adapted from past disasters through internalization of bad memories. To build an understanding of the cultural construction of this adaptation, this paper uses a cultural ecology framework and information collected through phenomenological study to identify the primary socio-historical information derived from past disasters. The results of the research show that the community has internalized the memories of disaster through material and non-material culture, as well as spatial arrangements of infrastructure to address the multiple threats of volcanic eruption, tsunami and typhoon risks, witnessed by their ancestors. This paper shows that the communities of Sangihe apply embedded knowledge and experience into daily practices. This is one of the models of indigenous knowledge-based disaster risk reduction, which can be a foundation for the present generations outside Sangihe to minimize the impact of disasters.

Abstract

Tangerang Regency has continued to rehabilitate its coastal ecosystems, especially mangrove areas that have been converted into ponds and abandoned. One of the functions of the mangrove ecosystem is as a habitat for biota, including macrozoobenthos. This study aimed to analyze mollusc diversity in the mangrove rehabilitated area in Tangerang. Macrozoobenthos sampling was carried out from February to March 2022 in Ketapang Villag (station 1), Patramangala Village (station 2), and Tanjung Pasir Village (station 3), by applying a 1×1 m2 quadratic transects. The mollusks found were from the class bivalves and gastropods. In general, mollusk abundance is the number of individual mollusks in an area. The composition of the mollusk species found were bivalves (42%) and gastropods (58%). The highest diversity index, uniformity index, and dominance index from the three villages were 1,8882, 0,6294, dan 0,5183. Based on the results of the study showed that the rehabilitation of mangroves is able to become a habitat for mollusks with a fairly high diversity. This is a good indication of the success of rehabilitation and ecosystem health. Key words : bivalves, gastropods, mangroves, mollusca, Tangerang

Abstract

Abstract. The aims of the present study was to evaluate community structure and biomass of phytoplankton based on the depth stratification in the waters of Lake Laut Tawar. Sampling was conducted during March and April 2010. The results showed that 43 species of phytoplankton belonging to five classes were found in Lake Laut tawar. The most common class was Chlorophyceae with 20 genera, followed by Bacillariophyceae (diatoms) by 9 genera, Cyanophyceae (10 genera), Dinophyceae (2 genera), and Euglenophyceae (2 genera). The highest species composition was found at II with 15 m depth (24 genera), while the highest abundance of phytoplankton was occured at station with 10 depth (155600 cells/l), while the lowest abundance was obtained at 15 depth (12745 cells/l). Overall the phytoplankton population in Lake Laut Tawar was dominated by Bacillarophyceae. In addition, the diversity index of phytoplankton was in moderate level (2.34), while the evenness index was ranged from 0.43 to 0.87, indicate the distribution of the individuals of each species was varied, however there was no predominant species detected.Keywords. Abstract

ABSTRAKKepekaan mangrove merupakan komponen penting dalam menentukan tingkat kepekaan ekosistem mangrove terhadap tumpahan minyak. Mangrove Indonesia dapat dikelompokkan dalam 5 tingkat kepekaan terhadap tumpahan minyak, yaitu tidak peka (Acanthus, Nypa, Inocarpus, Acrostichum), kurang peka (Aegiceras, Excoecaria, Hibiscus, Lumnitzera, Ficus, Scyphiphora, Thespasia, Merope, Osbornea, Pandanus), cukup peka (Bruguiera, Ceriops, Xylocarpus, Heritiera), peka (Rhizophora), dan sangat peka (Avicennia, dan Sonneratia). Penilaian terhadap komunitas mangrove di Indonesia menunjukkan sebagian besar tergolong ke dalam katagori sangat peka dan peka apabila komunitas mangrove tersebut terkena tumpahan minyak. ABSTRACTThe sensitivity of mangrove is an important component to determine the sensitivity of mangrove ecosystem to oil spills. The Indonesian mangrove can be grouped into five levels of sensitivity to the oil spill, include not sensitive (Acanthus, Nypa, Inocarpus, and Acrostichum), low sensitive (Aegiceras, Excoecaria, Hibiscus, Lumnitzera, Ficus, Scyphiphora, Thespasia, Merope, Osbornea, and Pandanus), intermediate sensitive (Bruguiera, Ceriops, Xylocarpus, and Heritiera), sensitive (Rhizophora), and very sensitive (Avicennia, and Sonneratia). Assessment of mangrove communities in Indonesia showed mostly belong to the category of very sensitive and sensitive if the mangrove communities injured by the oil spill.

Abstract

Pantai Serangan yang terletak di Pulau Serangan, Denpasar, Bali. Tercatat memiliki potensi bulu babi yang sangat melimpah untuk dikembangkan potensi nya, Timbal (Pb) merupakan logam yang banyak dimanfaatkan oleh manusia sehingga logam ini juga menimbulkan dampak kontaminasi terhadap lingkungan. Sebagaian besar pencemaran Logam berat (Pb) masuk ke perairan berasal dari penggunaan emisi berbahan bakar minyak pada kapal. Oleh sebab itu perlu menentukan konsetrasi Logam berat (Pb) pada tubuh bulu babi di Pantai Serangan, Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan (AAS). Pada proses pengambilan data menggunakan metode purposive sampling yaitu memilih empat lokasi yang diketahui menjadi habitat bulu babi. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukan bahwa konsentrasi logam berat Pb pada tubuh bulu babi pada keempat stasiun adalah rata-rata nilai tiap stasiun konsentrasinya 0,013 ,0,009, 0,008 dan 0,007. Nilai konsentrasi logam berat Pb pada tubuh bulu babi lebih rendah jika dibadingkan dari nilai standar logam berat pada biota di perairan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKima merupakan jenis hewan moluska raksasa yang hidup di ekosistem terumbu karang dan ditemukan di perairan dangkal hingga kedalaman 20 meter. Kima berperan penting sebagai biofilter dasar yang membersihkan mikroorganisme yang berlebihan dan zat kotor terlarut, sehingga keseimbangan lingkungan perairan laut lebih terjaga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bioekologis kima di perairan laut Kecamatan Patani, Kabupaten Halmahera Tengah, Provinsi Maluku Utara sebagai langkah dasar upaya pelestarian dan perlindungan kima. Pengambilan sampel kima menggunakan alat bantu belt transect. Analisis data yang dilakukan terdiri atas analisis kelimpahan relatif, kepadatan, Indeks Morisita, hirarki klaster, dan regresi linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai kelimpahan relatif kima tertinggi ditemukan pada jenis kima Tridacna crocea dan terendah pada Tridacna maxima. Nilai kepadatan jenis tertinggi ditemukan pada jenis kima Tridacna crocea dan terendah pada jenis kima Hippopus hippopus. Pola distribusi kima secara keseluruhan adalah mengelompok. Distribusi secara mengelompok disebabkan karena sifat spesies bergerombol atau adanya kesamaan habitat dan ketersediaan makanan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan populasi kima di lokasi penelitian membentuk dua klaster, yaitu klaster Teluk Patani dan klaster Pulau Liwo-Sayafi. Hasil regresi linear menunjukkan bahwa suhu, pH, dan kecerahan sangat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelimpahan sedangkan kedalaman dan salinitas tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan.
