Abstract

Mempawah Regency possesses Superior Local Rice that serves as a prima donna. However, the threat of competition from imported rice competitors poses a challenge to the development of superior local rice. This research aims to analyze the relationship of product attributes to the purchasing decisions for Mempawah Regency's superior local rice. A descriptive qualitative approach is employed to explain the research findings, with 200 respondents analyzed using Spearman rank correlation. The research results indicate that all attribute variables of Mempawah Regency's superior rice are significantly correlated with purchasing decisions. The variables of Taste, Appeal, and Cleanliness attributes of the superior local rice exhibit a "Strong" category relationship strength. The attributes of Aroma, Color, Packaging Safety, and Packaging Attractiveness have a "Medium" category relationship strength, while the Texture attribute has a "Weak" category relationship strength. These findings affirm that the purchasing decision for Bestari rice is the result of a complex combination between core product quality and product appearance factors.

Abstract

As Indonesia's economy continues to grow, the poultry industry is expected to adapt and innovate to meet the increasing demand. This research aims to analyze the relationship between consumer characteristics and purchasing decisions regarding chicken meat in modern markets. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed to elucidate the research findings, utilizing data from 120 respondents analyzed through Spearman rank correlation. The results indicate that the variables of education level, type of occupation, and income level are significantly correlated with purchasing decisions for chicken meat products in modern markets, exhibiting a positive relationship. These findings suggest that consumers with higher incomes, specific types of occupations, and better education are more inclined to prefer high-quality chicken meat in modern markets.

Abstract

Background: Based on the annual report of the Karangpawitan Health Center in 2020 there were 231 cases of postpartum women (29.3%) who experienced perineal injuries from 786 mothers who gave birth. In the first trimester of 2021, there were 56 cases of postpartum women (21.2%) who experienced perineal injuries from 263 women who gave birth. Meanwhile, cases of perineal wound infection in the first trimester of 2021 were 3 cases. Perineal wound care is expected to prevent infection, increase comfort and accelerate healing.Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effect of giving boiled red betel leaf water on perineal wound healing at the Karangpawitan Health Center, Garut Regency.Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental pretest posttest with control group design. The population in this study was 44 pregnant women in June 2021 who were divided into two groups, 22 experimental people and 22 controls, the sample technique used total sampling. The instrument used was a wound measurement questionnaire with the REEDA scale. Data analysis using Wilcoxon test.Results: the average perineal wound healing in the control group before the intervention was 6.86 and after the intervention was 1.86. While the experimental group before the intervention was 6.95 and after the intervention was 0.64. Bivariate results showed a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there was an effect of using boiled red betel leaf water on perineal wound healing.Conclusion: There was an effect of using boiled red betel leaf water on perineal wound healing

Abstract

Strategies to increase the income of self -help palm oil farmers can help farmers to increase production yields. This study aims to formulate and obtain strategies in an effort to increase the income of oil palm farmers. This research was conducted in Kalis District, Kapuas Hulu Regency. This study was carried out from April 5 to May 524. This study used a descriptive quantitative method with case study methods and identified internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external (opportunities and threats) used for the strategy to increase the income of oil palm farmers in the sub -district dull. The variables used in this study were obtained from indicators of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Based on the results of the research results of the collection, processing and analysis of the main internal factors, it is found that the main strength factor of farmers is the status of land ownership and land area owned by farmers with a weight score of 0.41. As for the main weakness of self -help farmers is inadequate access to infrastructure with a weight score of 0.18 and the total score of the IFE matrix is ​​2.51. For data analysis of the main external factors, it is found that the main opportunity factor of farmers is oil palm can be a term investment for farmers with a weight score of 0.41. As for the main threat of self -help farmers is a long queue at the Palm Oil Mill (PKS) with a weight score of 0.18 and the total score of the IFE matrix is ​​2.62. The results of processing internal and external data of farmers using the IE matrix show that the position of farmers is in quadrant I, the suitable strategy is an aggressive strategy that can support the growth of oil palm farming.

Abstract

Farmer groups are formed with the aim of further improving and developing the capabilities of members and their families. Farmer groups themselves are a form of farmer association that can be used as a place for extension activities. Extension activities through a group approach are intended to encourage the formation of farmer institutions that are able to build synergy between farmers and between farmer groups in order to achieve business efficiency. This study aims to determine the role of independent oil palm farmer groups in Subah District. This research was conducted from January to July in Subah District. The population in this study was 5,276 farmer members consisting of 13 villages. With a sample of 44 farmers, the selected sampling method was using the Slovin formula. The analytical method used was quantitative descriptive analysis by calculating the analysis of the role of independent oil palm farmer groups according to their functions, namely learning classes, cooperation platforms, production units measured using the Likert method. The results of the study showed that the role of farmer groups in Subah District in carrying out their roles as learning classes was classified as high at 77.3%, as cooperation platforms was classified as high at 86.4%, and as production units was classified as high at 72.7%

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) kerajinan tangan berbasis sumber daya alam lokal menghadapi tantangan pemasaran yang kompleks, termasuk keterbatasan distribusi, persaingan produk sintetis, dan minimnya jangkauan promosi digital. PT Cici Art Craft, produsen kerajinan anyaman akar keladi air di Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Kalimantan Barat, mengalami penurunan penjualan signifikan dari Rp13.500.000 pada Desember 2024 menjadi Rp8.750.000 pada Februari 2025. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bauran pemasaran yang diterapkan dan merumuskan strategi pemasaran prioritas melalui pendekatan 4P, SWOT, dan QSPM. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling terhadap 11 responden, meliputi pemilik usaha, tenaga kerja, konsumen, pemasok, Dinas UMKM, dan pesaing. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan kuesioner, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Matriks IFE, EFE, SWOT, dan QSPM. Hasil analisis IFE menghasilkan skor 3,01 dan EFE sebesar 2,84, menempatkan perusahaan pada Kuadran I yang merekomendasikan strategi pertumbuhan agresif. Matriks SWOT menghasilkan tiga alternatif strategi SO yang dievaluasi melalui QSPM. Strategi "Mengoptimalkan promosi digital dan dukungan Dinas UMKM untuk memperluas pangsa pasar" terpilih sebagai prioritas utama dengan nilai Sum Total Attractiveness Score (STAS) tertinggi sebesar 7,54, diikuti perluasan jaringan ekspedisi dan kemitraan (7,32), serta pemanfaatan kualitas produk dan motif Dayak untuk pasar eco-friendly (7,12). Temuan ini mengimplikasikan bahwa digitalisasi promosi yang konsisten, didukung kolaborasi kelembagaan pemerintah dan penguatan identitas budaya lokal, merupakan kunci peningkatan daya saing UMKM kerajinan berbasis alam dalam menghadapi pasar yang semakin kompetitif.

Abstract

Hipertensi pada ibu hamil merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang berpotensi menimbulkan komplikasi kehamilan dan berdampak pada kesehatan ibu maupun janin. Upaya pengendalian hipertensi pada ibu hamil perlu dilakukan melalui pendekatan promotif dan preventif yang melibatkan peran aktif masyarakat. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat dikembangkan adalah pemanfaatan pangan lokal sebagai bagian dari inovasi dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan mendukung upaya pengendalian hipertensi pada ibu hamil melalui inovasi puding labu siam di Desa Samarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi pendidikan kesehatan dan difusi inovasi pangan lokal. Sasaran kegiatan adalah ibu hamil yang berdomisili di Desa Samarang. Pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan penyuluhan kesehatan mengenai hipertensi pada kehamilan, dilanjutkan dengan demonstrasi pembuatan puding labu siam sebagai alternatif pangan lokal yang mudah diolah dan berpotensi mendukung pola konsumsi sehat. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan secara deskriptif melalui pengukuran pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan serta observasi terhadap penerimaan peserta terhadap inovasi yang diperkenalkan.  Hasil Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai hipertensi pada kehamilan setelah diberikan edukasi kesehatan, yang ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan nilai rata-rata pengetahuan dari 68 pada pretest menjadi 90 pada posttest. Selain itu, inovasi puding labu siam mendapatkan respons positif dari peserta karena bahan mudah diperoleh, proses pembuatan sederhana, dan dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong partisipasi aktif ibu hamil dalam upaya menjaga kesehatan selama kehamilan.Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa integrasi edukasi kesehatan dengan inovasi puding labu siam merupakan pendekatan aplikatif yang dapat mendukung upaya pengendalian hipertensi pada ibu hamil di tingkat komunitas

Abstract

Perkebunan kelapa sawit mandiri berperan penting dalam perekonomian nasional, namun menghadapi tantangan terkait  lingkungan yang signifikan, terutama pengelolaan tanah dan keberlanjutan ekosistem. Dalam konteks ini, perempuan petani sawit mandiri memiliki posisi strategis karena keterlibatan langsung mereka dalam pengelolaan kebun sehari-hari serta penerapan praktik konservasi. Policy Brief ini disusun berdasarkan penelitian lapangan di Kecamatan Wiwirano, Kabupaten Konawe Utara, Sulawesi Tenggara, untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik, praktik konservasi, dan tipologi perempuan petani sawit mandiri, serta menelaah peran lembaga pendamping dalam mendukung keberlanjutan pengelolaan kebun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan petani sawit mandiri terlibat aktif dalam seluruh tahapan budidaya, mulai dari pembukaan lahan hingga panen dan pemasaran. Seluruh responden menerapkan pembukaan lahan tanpa bakar dan praktik tumpang sari, serta sebagian besar menggunakan pupuk organik dan pupuk kandang. Analisis tipologi mengungkap bahwa perilaku konservasi dipengaruhi oleh faktor pendidikan, pekerjaan utama, ukuran rumah tangga, asal lahan, tingkat keterlibatan budidaya, dan alokasi waktu kerja. Selain itu, lembaga pendamping perempuan seperti ASPPUK berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kapasitas teknis, konsistensi praktik konservasi, dan posisi pengambilan keputusan perempuan petani. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi perspektif gender dan penguatan lembaga pendamping dalam kebijakan publik guna mewujudkan perkebunan sawit mandiri yang berkelanjutan, inklusif, dan berkeadilan.

Abstract

The Legowo row planting system is a method of rice cultivation with several rows separated by one empty row. This research aims to determine the influence of farmers' knowledge and skills in applying the Legowo row planting system on rice production. A quantitative descriptive method was used with 112 rice farmers who have implemented the system in Landak Regency. Data analysis was performed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) model with SMART PLS 3.0 software. The results show that rice production using the Legowo planting system is significantly influenced by knowledge factors, including training levels and innovation adoption, and skill factors, including procedures and water management. These factors significantly impact rice production for farmers implementing the Legowo system.

Abstract

Anemia is a body condition characterized by lower than normal hemoglobin levels in the blood. Low hemoglobin levels in the blood can cause miscarriage, prolonged labor due to uterine inertia, postpartum hemorrhage, and shock. Anemia can be treated pharmacologically with iron tablets and non-pharmacologically with dragon fruit juice and honey. This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of dragon fruit juice and honey on hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in Bogor Regency, West Java Province, in the intervention and control groups. This type of research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest with control group design . The sample in this study amounted to 30 pregnant women consisting of 15 people in the intervention group and 15 people in the control group. The sampling technique used was a purposive sampling technique . The research instruments consisted of observation sheets, SOPs for making dragon fruit juice and honey, SOPs for administering dragon fruit juice and honey, SOPs for checking hemoglobin, measuring cups, measuring spoons, blenders, and digital hemoglobinometers (Easy Touch GCHb). Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired t-tests, and independent t-tests. The results of the study showed that the combination of dragon fruit juice and honey had a strong influence in increasing the hemoglobin levels of pregnant women in the third trimester in Bogor Regency in 2025. Pregnant women are advised to consume dragon fruit juice and honey as a complementary therapy to help increase hemoglobin levels and prevent anemia during pregnancy.
