Abstract

Learning outcomes play an important role in the learning process. They serve as a measure of the level of success a student can achieve. One of the learning models used to improve learning outcomes is the DBL (Discussion Based Learning) model. The purpose of this study is to describe the steps, advantages, and disadvantages of implementing the DBL (Discussion Based Learning) model in Islamic Religious Education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Klaten and Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 11 Boyolali. This study employed a qualitative approach. The research subjects were teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Klaten and Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 11 Boyolali. The informants were Islamic Religious Education teachers. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study are as follows:1) The steps of the DBL model include: the teacher communicates the learning objectives, directs the focus of the discussion by explaining the basic rules, monitors the discussion, concludes the discussion, and asks students to reflect on both the discussion process and their thinking;2) The advantages of the DBL model include: engaging all students directly in the learning process, assessing their level of knowledge and mastery of the subject matter, and fostering scientific thinking and attitudes; 3) The drawback of the DBL model is that discussions are often dominated by a few students who possess strong speaking skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of service quality on inpatient satisfaction at Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital. This study was conducted using a quantitative method, and data were collected through questionnaires from 204 inpatients selected using probability sampling techniques. The results showed that the tangibles, assurance, and empathy dimensions had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction, which indicates that improvements in these areas lead to higher satisfaction levels. In contrast, reliability and responsiveness had a positive but not statistically significant effect on patient satisfaction, thus improvements in these areas may lead to increased satisfaction, although the impact is not statistically significant. Among the five dimensions, assurance emerged as the most dominant factor influencing inpatient satisfaction. As the study identified assurance as the dominant factor influencing patient satisfaction, Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital is expected to improve patient safety assurance. One potential initiative is the implementation of a QR-based medical record system to streamline access to patient information and minimize the risk of human error.

Abstract

Combustio is an injury to the skin caused by heat sources, radioactivity, electricity, contact with chemicals that require immediate action to avoid death or disability. Lack of information makes housewives unable to implement combustio management properly. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of SMART education (lectures, demonstrations) and simulations on the ability of first aid for combustio in housewives. Educational activities can be carried out to provide insight and understanding of first aid for burns (combustio), in the household/community environment. The method of implementing the activity was carried out through Smart education (Cermah Demonstrasi) for 3 days on 23-25 July 2024 in the Bendo Health Center Work Area. Participants are housewives. There were 30 participants. The results of the evaluation before being given education, the results were that all (100%) respondents had insufficient abilities. After being given intervention, almost all (83%) respondents had good skills in first aid for burns (combustio). Knowledge of first aid for burns (combustio) influences attitudes in first aid in emergency conditions at home. Burn emergencies can be handled immediately if they have the knowledge and skills in dealing with burn incidents. Correct initial treatment will reduce burn complications.

Abstract

Post-stroke patients often experience disturbances in movement function due to paralysis, either partial or total paralysis. One of the solutions to help post-stroke patients train their range of motion is by administering mirror therapy. This study was conducted at the Prambon Health Center to examine the impact of mirror therapy on post-stroke patients' ability to adjust physically. The IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire) was employed as a measuring tool as part of this study's pre-experimental, one group, pre-posttest design approach. The study's population consisted of 21 respondents, and using a total sampling technique, 21 respondents were selected as the sample. Data were analyzed by Paired t-test. The results showed that before the intervention was given most of the respondents (66.7%) had moderate physical activity criteria and after the intervention was given most of the respondents (85.7%) had moderate physical activity criteria. The results of the analysis showed that the p value of 0.000 means that there is an effect of mirror therapy on physical adaptation in post-stroke patients. Mirror therapy can affect physical adaptation by providing visual stimulation to the brain through observing healthy body parts through mirror reflections. The main key to the success of the mirror therapy intervention is that it occurs when the respondent is serious and focused in carrying out each stage of this intervention. Respondents are expected to apply this intervention as often as possible so that the range of motion can be honed properly and physical adaptation can increase.

Methods: Correlation Study research design with a Cross Sectional approach. The sampling technique is Purposive Sampling, the sample size is 57 respondents. The research instrument used the Health Belief Model and MMAS-8 questionnaire, Spearman Rho statistical test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: Analysis with the Spearman Rho statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.000 and an error rate of ? = 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) meaning that there is a relationship between the health belief model and medication adherence in hypertensive patients who have a positive relationship with strong category relationship strength (r = 0.791). Conclusions: Factors that influence the positive relationship include long suffering from hypertension and routine control. The higher the Health Belief Model in individuals, the higher the adherence to taking medication

Abstract

Background: The victims, primarily female children, have suffered sexual abuse, often perpetrated by individuals known to them, such as neighbors or acquaintances. In interviews with concerned parents regarding ongoing cases of sexual abuse, they expressed fears about their children falling victim to such incidents.. The research aim was to assess the effectiveness of support group interventions in enhancing self-awareness and parental coping strategies as preventive measures against child sexual abuse. Methods: The study's main objective is to evaluate the impact of Support Groups in improving Self-Awareness and Parental Coping Strategies. It employed a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent group pre-test and post-test methodology, with one group as the control and the other as the experimental group. The study included 70 respondents in the intervention group and an equal number in the control group, selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments comprised the Revised Ways of Coping Scale questionnaire for coping strategies and a self-awareness questionnaire. Non-parametric data analysis was conducted using SPSS, specifically the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: Results of the normality test indicated that both the intervention and control groups had p-values of less than 0.05 for coping strategies (0.002 for the intervention group and 0.003 for the control group) and self-awareness (0.000 for both groups), suggesting non-normal data distribution. Consequently, non-parametric statistical analysis was applied with SPSS, and a significance level was set at p < 0.05. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test results for the intervention group were 0.000 (coping strategies) and 0.000 (self-awareness), signifying a significant difference in average pretest and posttest scores within the intervention group. Conversely, the control group's Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test results were 0.953 (coping strategies) and 0.317 (self-awareness), indicating no significant difference in average pretest and posttest scores within the control group. Conclusion: Based on the research findings and discussion, it can be deduced that support group interventions positively impact the enhancement of parental coping strategies and self-awareness in the endeavor to prevent child sexual abuse.
