Abstract

This research aims to a11alyze the basic concepts that form a pattern of misconceptions on the rotational dyna111ics. The misconceptions formed by several incorrect patterns of concepts are remediated using a11alogy leaming method. This research is applied using the mix method (qualitative and quantitative). Quantitative data is taken using two tier diagnostic tests for pretest and posttest which consists of 10 questions. Qualitative data is taken by applying direct observations and interviews with the students. The result of the pretest showed a misconception average of 83.8%. Analogy learning process with posttest. After leaming analogy done, the result of posttest showed that misconceptions average decreased to 41.9%. With the decreasing in the posttest, the understanding of concepts average has increased from 16,2 % to 53,6 %. However, the results of this study cannot be said to be effective because there is still incorrect concept pattern from the posttest results. This is due to interest of student in physics, the student ability and the cognitive development.

Abstract

Problem solving is important for learning physics at any level which involves the process of analysing, interpreting, reasoning, predicting, evaluating and reflecting. However, researches about problem-solving strategies or techniques based on students? personality have not been widely practiced. This strategy is important to be studied based on thoughts, characters and actions of students. Therefore, the aims of the research are to connect students problem solving of physics based on their personality and identify students problem solving pattern based on their personality according to The Four Temperament Theory of Keirsey (1998). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with the type of Investigation of Lived Experience that explores inner experiences (Gall et al, 2003). Subjects in this study are 12th grade students of science class program of MAN 1 Banyumas which is determined by stratified sampling approach. They were divided into homogeneous groups. The grouping is based on Keirsey's four personality types: Idealist, Artisan, Guardian and Rational. Each personality type, selected nine students as research subjects are determined using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the strategy of physics problem solving of Idealist type was conceptual problem solving, Artisan type used intuitive-analogic for solving the problem, Guardian type used intuitive for solving the problem, and Rational type used analogic strategy for solving the problem.

Abstract

This study has purpose to determine the comparison of the scientific communication ability of students between groups using the think talk write learning based inquiry approach to groups using the experimental learning, and determine the relationship between students' initial ability and students' scientific communication ability. The study was conducted with an experimental approach carried out in grade XI Persiapan Grafika SMK Islam Al Bisyri Semarang, by comparing the Think Talk Write learning groups based inquiry approach to the experimental learning. The variables studied were scientific communication ability obtained through observation during the learning process. The data were analyzed using Mann Whitney U and Spearman Rank. The results showed that the scientific communication ability of the think talk write based inquiry approach learning group based on the inquiry approach reviewd from four components, the Think Talk Write based inquiry approach learning group had the ability to access and utilize the latest library resources, the ability to contribute ideas in group work, the ability to prepare reports in accordance with the guidelines for scientific paper reports, it is better than the experimental learning, however, in the component of communicating products or reports verbally (presentations) did not show a significant difference between the think talk write based inquiry approach learning group and the experimental learning group. The initial ability of students does not affect the scientific communication ability of students in the think talk write learning group based inquiry approach and experimental learning groups.

Abstract

An experiment has been done on the development objects Archimedes law to increase the understanding of the concept. Archimedes law objects are as instructional media to explain the elusive concept of learners, especially on the concept of objects floating, sinking and floating. This is shown by the result of studentslearning to the concept of Archimedes law in SMP N 2 Batang in 2011/2012 class VIII, has not reached 85% of the limit value of 70 completed. The condition is possible because one of the reasons is that during this learning method is used less effective resulting for low student in understanding of concepts, so need a solution to improve learners' understanding of the concept of the law of Archimedes. Archimedes law objects that have been developed to influent the change patterns of thinking, so as to improve the understanding of the concept of learners. Archimedes law objects developed as a modification to the standard objects in variety of liquid and the test objects.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the state of self efficacy on the application of learning discovery learning model on harmonic vibration topic. In addition to reveal the factors that influence the increase or decrease of students' self efficacy with the application of discovery learning model. This research is a qualitative descriptive analysis research. Discovery learning model is implemented in 38 students class X MIPA 2 of SMA 1 Bae Kudus. Data collection was done by giving questionnaires, observation, and interview. Questionnaire of student?s self efficacy also has been given to determine the condition of self efficacy of students before and after the learning process implemented. The results showed that the initial self efficacy condition of students who had low initial increase although not significant. The condition of early efficacy of students before the learning process determines the level of student success in the learning process. Analysis of the first time self efficacy of students with the low category can be used as an anticipation or prevent the final learning outcomes of students do not become low.

Abstract

Tahapan terpenting dalam proses pembelajaran adalah evaluasi. Untuk itu diperlukan adanya pengembangan alat evaluasi yang dapat mengukur ketercapaian dari tujuan pembelajaran tersebut. Rumusan masalah yang ada pada skripsi ini meliputi bagaimana bentuk tes untuk dapat mengetahui kemampuan berpikir siswa dan uji kelayakannya menurut penilaian pakar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan alat evaluasi berdasarkan taksonomi bloom pada materi cahaya dan mengetahui kelayakannya menurut pakar dan hasil ujicoba. Untuk itu peneliti melakukan pengembangan alat evaluasi bertingkat berdasarkan taksonomi bloom. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Research and Development (R & D) yaitu suatu metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan suatu produk tertentu dan diuji keefektifannya. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah data hasil validasi produk oleh ahli, angket tanggapan guru dan siswa serta nilai hasil belajar siswa The most important phase in learning process is the evaluation. The benefits of the evaluation is to find out achievement of learning objectives and learning objectives instead a reference in implemented an evaluation. For that we need the development of an evaluation tool that can measure the achievement of learning objectives. The problem in this paper include how the test form can measure the thinking ability of students and trials their feasibility according to expert assessment and resut of trials. Then, researcher do development an evaluation tool based multilevel taxonomy bloom. Design research is Research and Development (R & D) is a research method that is used to produce a particular product tested its effectiveness. Analysis of the data used the result of a data product validation by expert, questionnaire responses of teachers and students and the value of student learning.

Abstract

Hasil Observasi di MTs NU Hasyim Asy’ari 03 Kudusditemukan bahwa pembelajaran IPA sudah diterapkan secara terpadu, namun perangkat penunjang pembelajaran (LKS) belum terpadu.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan LKS IPA terpadu berbasis learning cycle “4E” dan  pengaruh penggunaan LKS terhadap hasil belajar dan keterampilan inferensi logika siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (R and D).Pada penelitian ini, produk yang telah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh pakar desain LKS dan pakar materi kemudian dilakukan pengujian skala kecil, skala besar dan penerapan.Analisis data yang digunakan adalah data hasil validasi produk oleh pakar, angket respon siswa, observasi keterampilan siswa, dan data hasil belajar siswa.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS IPA berbasis learning cycle “4E”termasuk dalam kriteria layak dengan persentase rata-rata skor ≥ 81% pada penilaian kelayakan desain dan materi.Pada uji keefektifan menunjukkan bahwa LKS IPA efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan perolehanN-gain 0,67 dan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa adalah 100% dengan KKM ≥ 70. LKS IPA juga mampu membekali keterampilan inferensi logika siswa dengan perolehan N-gain 0,65 pada indikator 1, 0,6 pada indikator 2, dan 0,7 pada indikator 3 dengan kriteria keterampilan mudah terkembang. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa LKS IPA berbasis LC “4E”terbukti layak dan berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar serta mampu membekali keterampilan inferensi logika siswa sehingga LKS IPA dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Observation result in MTs Hasyim As’ari 03 Kudus showed that already implemented in an integrated manner , but the learning support ( worksheet ) have not been integrated . This study aims to determine the feasibility of integrated science worksheet  theme of environmental pollution and its impact on learning outcomes and skills of logical inference . The method used wasResearch &Development ( R and D ). In this study , the products that have been validated by experts developed worksheet design and materials experts then testing a small -scale , large scale and implementation . Data analysis used is the result of a data product validation by experts , student questionnaire responses , students' observation skills , and student learning outcomes . Theresults of study showed that Integrated Science Worksheets Based on Learning Cycle " 4E " implied in the criteria feasible with an average percentage score of ≥ 81 % on the assessment of the feasibility of the design and material . In testing the effectiveness suggests that integrative science worksheets effective used in the learning acquisition N-gains of 0.67 and percentage of student’s the classical learning mastery was 100 % with ≥ 70 KKM . integrated science worksheet also able to equip students with the skills of inference logic acquisition N-gain of 0.65 on indicator 1 , 0.6 on indicator 2 , 3 and 0.7 on the indicator criteria easily undeveloped skills . It can be concluded that the integrated science worksheets based learning cycle “4E”  has been proven feasible and positive effect on learning outcomes and logic inference skills to equip students so that integrated science worksheet can be used in learning activities.

Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ The purpose of this research was develop a mobile phone diagnostic test product which use to identify student’s concept understanding in the temperature and heat material. This result indicated the level of student’s concept understanding in the temperature and heat material. This research has three steps for trial product. The steps were limited-scale, wide-scale, and implementation. The validation result by proffesional of instrument test, proffesional of media, and the questionnaire responses of students has been showed that the m-diagnostic test worthy to used because the product has fulfilled contents aspect, language aspect, construct aspect, software technology aspect, and visual communication aspect. The result of diagnostic test in implementation step are showed 6 students from 18 students that achieves a minimum completeness criteria.The result of student’s concept understanding that included in the relational understanding criteria for each indicator was 50% relational understanding for indicator 1 (knowing the definition of temperature and heat), 55% relational understanding for indicator 2 (understand the scale of the temperature on the thermometer. The results from this research indicated that the m-diagnostic test worthy to use for diagnose the level of student’s concept understanding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan pembelajaran konsep energi dan perubahannya bermuatan etnosains pengasapan ikan yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan Quasi experiment dengan pretest-posttest control group design untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan pembelajaran bermuatan etnosains pada pokok bahasan energi dan perubahannya terhadap literasi sains siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Demak tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan sampel kelas VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penentuan sampel tersebut menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar wawancara proses pengasapan ikan dan tes literasi sains dalam bentuk soal esai. Hasil penerapan pembelajaran konsep energi dan perubahannya bermuatan etnosains dan perangkat pembelajarannya diperoleh peningkatan literasi sains berdasarkan nilai N-gin pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,164 (kategori rendah), sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,443 (kategori sedang). Analisis dengan uji t berdasarkan hasil pretest diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,670 > 0,05 menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada nilai pretest kedua kelas, sedangkan nilai posttest antar kelas diperoleh Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 menunjukkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan nilai posttest kedua kelas. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran konsep energi dan perubahannya bermuatan etnosains pengasapan ikan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of the concepts of Tahfidz and regular students by applying Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning. The method used is a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was MIPA class X at MA Al-Asror Semarang in the 2018/2019 school year. The sampling used a purposive sampling technique and obtained Tahfidz students in class X MIPA 1 and regular students in class X MIPA 2, as an experimental class. Collecting data in this study using interviews, observation and test methods. The instruments in this study were interview sheets, observation sheets, and pretest-posttest questions. Based on the data analysis, the n-gain of class X MIPA 1 is 0.59 and n-gain of class X MIPA 2 is 0.67. Medium understanding of the concept of category. Contextual learning Teaching and Learning (CTL) can improve understanding of the physics concepts of parabolic motion material.
