Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya perbedaan bahasa ibu atau bahasa pertama pada siswa SMP BSS. Hal tersebut, menyebabkan keterampilan berbahasa secara tulis setiap siswa kelas VII dan VIII SMP BSS berbeda-beda. Kemampuan keterampilan berbahasa secara tulis siswa SMP BSS terlihat kurang mampu produksi tulisan dengan minimal tepat penggunaan tanda baca dan kurang mampu memproduksi kalimat transformasi dengan tepat sehingga bahasa tulis siswa SMP BSS kelas VII dan VIII masih tercampur dengan bahasa lisan yang ditemukan dalam karangan siswa. Dengan begitu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan pola kalimat transformasi yang telah dan belum dikuasai anak pada kelas VII & VIII SMP BSS. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas VII dan VIII SMP BSS. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah crosssectional. Hasil karangan siswa-siswi kemudian dianalisis dengan mengklasifikasikan kalimat transformasi secara umum. Kemudian, dikategorikan menjadi kalimat transformasi sematan. Hasil menunjukan bahwa terdapat empat jenis kalimat transformasi sematan, yakni klausa relatif, pelengkap frasa nomina, pelengkap frasa adjektiva, dan pelengkap frasa verba. Karakteristik kalimat transformasi semataan yang sering dijumpai dalam karangan siswa kelas VII dan VII SMP BSS meliputi S+yang, P (FV Intrans/Trans wajib pelengkap + untuk), S+sangat, dan P (FV) + b. berdasarkan penelitian ini, peneliti berharap penelitian ini dapat menjadi refrensi bagi peneliti dengan topik sejenis dan hasil penelitian ini dapat dikembangkan menjadi bahan ajar dan dikembangkan dalam media pembelejaran bagi guru bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

The objectives of this research and development are (1) to produce a product prototype of the PIRLS equivalent reading literacy competency assessment instrument with educative cultural content text for grade 6 elementary school students, (2) to test the PIRLS equivalent reading literacy competency assessment instrument with educative cultural content text for grade 6 elementary school students from the aspects of content validity, construct validity, Esay question reliability test, Objective question reliability test, difficulty level, and differentiability. This type of research and development uses the Borg & Gall model which consists of 10 stages. The data collected is qualitative and quantitative data. The data is related to content validity, construct validity, readability, and practicality of the assessment instrument as well as the practicality of the user manual. The collected data were analyzed with content validity (Gregory), Product Moment, and Cronbach's Alpha. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, the results of the correlation person analysis for the overall r value of 30 items > r table for subject 28 the r table value is 0.361 with the acquisition of the smallest value of 0.383 and the largest of 0.724. In addition to the results of the limited subject test, the results of the analysis of the broad subject test using SPSS for windows version 26 software also showed the results that the person correlation value for the reading literacy competency assessment instrument from a total of 30 items obtained a calculated r value> r table for subjects 141 people the r table value of 0.361 with the acquisition of the smallest value of 0.439 and the largest value of 0.896. While the acquisition of the teacher response score is 0.882. So, based on these results it can be said that the product of the reading literacy competency assessment instrument equivalent to the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study with educational cultural content text is suitable for direct use for every grade 6 elementary school student.

Abstract

This study analyzes the expressive speech politeness of students and teachers at An-Nur Bululawang Vocational School, Malang Regency. This study aims to determine the form of expressive speech politeness and the function of students' expressive speech politeness toward teacher speech at school. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. This type of research is a type of pragmatic research. The data in this study are in the form of speech between students and teachers in expressive politeness at school. The data source for this research was in the form of recordings of students' and teachers' speeches, which were then transcribed in written form. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and recording techniques. Data analysis in this study used the Miles and Huberman interactive model in general, covering three stages, namely (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, and (3) data presentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the forms of expressive speech between students and the teacher, namely declarative speech forms, imperative speech forms, and interrogative speech forms, and (2) the function of expressive speech politeness between students and teachers, namely the politeness function of expressive speech pleasure, thank you, apologize, complain, greet, praise, tease, and tease. The use of expressive politeness between students and teachers at school is used relevantly according to the context, and this expressive speech can help students convey emotional feelings to the teacher so that in the learning process, they easily achieve learning goals and can motivate students' development while at school.

Abstract

In the dry season, the day is hot and the night is very cold. There are several diseases that often occur in this season, one of which is coughs and colds.  Cough and runny nose are symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections in children under 5 years of age. ARI is a major cause of morbidity and mortality from infectious diseases worldwide. ARI is also the third leading cause of death in the world. Cold cough problems in toddlers are often found, because the toddler's immune system is still low so it is very vulnerable to contracting the virus. Parents whose children have a cold cough consider it a natural thing to happen to toddlers. Late and improper handling of cold coughs can aggravate the condition of toddlers so that seizures occur. The purpose of this community service is to increase mothers' knowledge about cold cough massage or commond cold through health counseling. The method of community service activities is to provide material to 28 mothers who have toddlers through interactive lectures and discussions. To evaluate the mother's knowledge is to ask  the mothers about commond cold massage, and the mothers do not know about commond cold massage. From the results of the activity, there was an increase in maternal knowledge about cold cough massage, where mothers of toddlers at Posyandu Nusa Indah Perum Sumber Indah Banyuwangi RT 71 Kel.Batu Ampar Balikpapan were able to practice commond cold massage. It is hoped that with the increase  in knowledge, mothers can do a good and correct cold cough massage in toddlers. So that toddlers are healthy and cold cough symptoms do not get worse.   Abstrak Pada musim kemarau siang hari terasa panas dan malam hari terasa sangat dingin. Ada beberapa penyakit yang sering terjadi di musim ini yaitu salah satunya adalah batuk dan pilek.  Batuk dan pilek merupakan gejala infeksi saluran pernapasan atas pada anak usia di bawah 5 tahun. ISPA yaitu peneybab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas dari penyakit menular di seluruh dunia. ISPA juga merupakan penyebab kematian ketiga di dunia. Masalah batuk pilek pada balita sering dijumpai, dikarenakan sistem imun balita yang masih rendah sehingga sangat rentan terjangkit virus. Orang tua yang anaknya mengalami batuk pilek menganggap itu merupakan hal yang wajar terjadi pada balita. Penanganan yang terlambat dan kurang tepat terhadap batuk pilek dapat memperparah keadaan balita sehinngga terjadi kejang. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang pijat batuk pilek atau commond cold melalui penyuluhan kesehatan. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu memberikan materi kepada 28 ibu yang memiliki balita melalui ceramah interaktif dan diskusi. Untuk mengevaluasi pengetahuan ibu yaitu dengan bertanya kepada ibu-ibu tersebut tentang pijat commond cold, dan ibu-ibu tersebut tidak mengetahui tentang pijat commond cold. Dari hasil kegiatan diperoleh terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu tentang pijat batuk pilek, dimana ibu-ibu dari balita di Posyandu Nusa Indah Perum Sumber Indah Banyuwangi RT 71 Kel.Batu Ampar Balikpapan sudah bisa mempraktekkan pijat commond cold. Diharapkan dengan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan ibu dapat melakukan pijat batuk pilek pada balita yang baik dan benar. Agar balita sehat dan gejala batuk pilek tidak semakin parah.

Abstract

The ability to persuade is a valuable communication skill that cannot be acquired easily. When used with confidence, persuasive speech possesses power, triggers change, and can inspire action. Speaking persuasively is a strategy that a motivator must master; this skill aims to influence, suggest, bring about positive change, and create attraction when speaking to an audience. This study aims to analyze the strategies used by motivators to influence participants in motivational seminars. The research employs a qualitative method with a pragmatic approach, as this approach provides strong tools for uncovering the hidden meanings in the motivator's speech. The data sources are derived from twenty (20) videos of Indonesian motivators Ary Ginanjar Agustian and Ippho Sentosa, focusing on aspects such as the topic and context of their talks. The overall findings reveal that the success of a motivator in influencing seminar participants is closely tied to three persuasive strategies used. These strategies are: i) commitment and consistency, ii) social proof, and iii) authority. The implications of this study support Robert B. Cialdini's persuasive theory, showing that the three motivators successfully persuaded, changed attitudes, and reinforced the intentions of seminar participants. Practically, the study suggests that organizations or individuals aiming to organize motivational events should select motivators with strong rhetorical skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui psikologi humanistik terkait hirarki kebutuhan yang dialami tokoh utama dalam novel yang berjudul “Bu, Tidak Ada Teman Menangis Malam Ini” karya Boy Candra. Sebuah novel yang menceritakan seorang anak yang kehilangan sosok ibunya. Tokoh Utama yang diceritakan dengan karakter sederhana yang disajikan oleh Boy Candra, dengan diksi yang meromantisasi sebuah kehilangan. Penilitian ini ditulis berdasarkan kajian teori psikologi humanistik Abraham Maslow. Jenis penelitian yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode kualitatif yang digunakan yaitu jenis deskriptif analisis. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel yang berjudul “Bu, Tidak Ada Teman Menangis Malam Ini” karya Boy Candra. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah membaca dan mengamati novel, menginventarisasi data, mengklasifikasi data, membuat tabel data. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Sebagaimana penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis, psikologi humanistik terkait hirarki kebutuhan yang dialami tokoh utama dalam Novel “Bu, Tidak Ada Teman Menangis Malam Ini” karya Boy Candra berdasakan kajian Teori Abraham Maslow terdapat 5 indikator.  Ada kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan rasa aman, kebutuhan cinta dan memiliki, kebutuhan harga diri, kebutuhan aktualisasi diri. Tokoh utama belum sepenuhnya dapat memenuhi hirarki kebutuhan dalam hidupnya. Namun, pada akhirnya tokoh Anak Muda mampu mencapai kebutuhan aktualisasi dirinya walaupun dengan cara yang tidak mudah.

Abstract

This research aims to develop prompting questions used to strengthen the reading literacy of fourth-grade elementary school students that are valid, practical and effective. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE model which consists of five development stages, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The test subjects in this research were reading literacy experts, class teachers, and fourth-grade elementary school students. The research data consists of validation data on reading literacy, practicality of teacher users, and student effectiveness. The expert validation results obtained a value of 90%. The results of the effectiveness test on students obtained a result of 0.601 for the small group and a result for the large group of 0.707. Apart from that, the results were also obtained from the practicality of teacher users of 100%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of leading questions is valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

The archivists in the Batu City Department of Library and Archives play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient archival services for the community. This study evaluates their performance, focusing on record acquisition, management, preservation, and service delivery. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research incorporates observations, interviews with 15 archivists, and examination of departmental records over six months. The analysis includes data reduction, modeling, and verification processes to derive comprehensive insights. The findings reveal that the archivists’ effectiveness is significantly influenced by their educational background, ongoing training, and accumulated work experience. Despite their competence, a notable gap exists in the formal academic qualifications related to archival studies. Moreover, disparities in training access further exacerbate performance inconsistencies. Consequently, while the current procedures are well-adhered, improvements are essential. To address these challenges and enhance expertise, it is recommended that archivists with formal archival education be recruited. Additionally, implementing a structured training program that offers equal participation opportunities can bridge the skill gap. Lastly, reducing non-core tasks will enable archivists to focus on their primary responsibilities, improving overall service delivery. These measures are anticipated to positively impact the department’s ability to meet community needs and enhance organizational efficiency.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a crucial role in shaping and strengthening the Islamic identity of women, children, and adolescents through a comprehensive, contextual, and adaptive approach to the challenges of the times. This enables them to be equipped with strong spiritual, moral, and intellectual values. Supported by family, educational institutions, technology, and favorable policies, Islamic education can serve as a solid foundation for maintaining and developing the Muslim identity in facing the dynamics of modern social and cultural life. This study uses a qualitative method. The results show that Islamic identity is an essential foundation in forming a strong and integrous Muslim character, developed through a systematic and sustainable Islamic education process. Islamic education holds great urgency in confronting globalization challenges by providing women, children, and adolescents with comprehensive religious understanding and strong moral values, enabling them to preserve their identity amidst social dynamics. Therefore, strategies for strengthening Islamic identity must be implemented holistically by involving families, communities, educational institutions, and utilizing technology, supported by role models and appropriate policies so that the younger generation can internalize and practice Islamic values meaningfully in daily life. Abstract

In the era of modern education, learning approaches oriented towards deeper learning have increasingly gained special attention, especially in the context of early childhood education. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach. The findings indicate that deep learning in early childhood education emphasizes the development of profound understanding as well as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills in accordance with the demands of the 21st century and Islamic values. The implementation of this approach in Raudhatul Athfal (RA) is carried out through interactive learning methods such as project-based learning and reflective discussions that comprehensively integrate religious values and the 4C skills. The role of RA supervisors is crucial as educational facilitators who not only perform administrative supervision but also provide technical guidance, motivation, and facilitation to teachers to ensure the effective application of deep learning. Therefore, supervisors act as a bridge between policy and practice on the ground to guarantee holistic learning quality oriented towards the optimal development of children’s potential.
