Abstract

The form of nature lexicon in the Madurese folk song titled “Tanduk Majheng” reflects the cultural identity of its people. The song contains thoughts and noble values that have been passed down from generation to generation. The use of nature lexicon in the song is not only for entertainment, but also a medium for Madurese people to convey their ideas, advice, and outlook on life. Therefore, this study aims to describe and explain the form of nature lexicon used in Madurese folk song titled “Tanduk Majheng”, as well as the relationship contained in the song “Tanduk Majheng” as the cultural identity of Madurese people. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data source used is a Madurese folk song entitled “Tanduk Majheng”, while the data is taken from the form of lexicon related to nature as a form of ecolinguistic study. The results of the study found three forms of nature lexicon are 1) majhengan (fish finder), 2) abental ombek (cushioned waves), 3) asapok angen (covered with wind). The cultural identity of Madurese people in the song Tanduk Majheng lies in the form of nature lexicon which mentions that the habits of people who live on the coast with livelihoods at sea. The natural lexicon contains values such as hard work, independence, and a deep understanding of the marine environment.

Abstract

        TArtikel konseptual ini membahas bagaimana asesmen sebagai pembelajaran dapat diintegrasikan dengan bacaan evaluatif dalam pengajaran puisi bertema sejarah di pendidikan tinggi. Studi ini didasarkan pada kebutuhan untuk mengembangkan pemikiran kritis dan kesadaran sejarah siswa melalui teks sastra, terutama puisi yang mencerminkan perjuangan sosial dan sejarah. Artikel ini menawarkan model praktis dan teoritis yang mendorong siswa untuk secara aktif menilai pemahaman mereka sendiri saat membaca secara evaluatif. Artikel ini memperkenalkan strategi SEJARAH (Dengarkan, Jelajahi, Navigasi, Analogikan, Renungkan, Hargai, Internalisasi) sebagai panduan terstruktur melalui tahap pra-baca, saat membaca, dan pasca-baca. Pendekatan ini mencakup refleksi diri, penilaian sejawat, dan rubrik untuk penilaian evaluatif. Meskipun tidak didasarkan pada penelitian empiris, kerangka kerja ini menggabungkan ide-ide utama dari asesmen formatif, bacaan evaluatif, dan apresiasi puisi untuk mendukung keterlibatan siswa yang lebih dalam dan pertumbuhan metakognitif. Kesimpulan utama menunjukkan bahwa menggabungkan asesmen sebagai pembelajaran dengan bacaan evaluatif dapat meningkatkan pemikiran kritis dan wawasan sejarah siswa melalui literatur.

Abstract

This article is aimed at elaborating not only students’ reading comprehension based on international and local tests conducted for fourth-grade elementary school students, but also the correlation between both results. This descriptive research was conducted at 12 elementary schools in five provinces located in Java and Sumatra. The instruments used for the reading comprehension tests were PIRLS, an international test, and a researcher-made test. The results of the study show that fourth graders’ ability to comprehend texts is very low. They could only understand 30% of the reading texts, both informative and literary. The results of the international test show a very high correlation with those of the researcher-made test, although they indicate lower scores than the local test results.

Abstract

Pembelajaran apresiasi sastra di jenjang Sekolah Dasar/Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (SD/MI) berperan penting dalam membentuk kepekaan estetika, kemampuan ekspresif, serta pemahaman nilai budaya dan kemanusiaan sejak dini. Namun, kajian mengenai karakteristik penyajian stimulus dan bentuk asesmen apresiasi sastra dalam buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik stimulus dan ragam bentuk asesmen apresiasi sastra dalam dua buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia SD/MI Fase A dan Fase B terbitan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis dokumen dan teknik analisis data model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stimulus apresiasi sastra disajikan melalui tiga moda utama, yakni visual, auditori, dan tekstual, yang disesuaikan dengan keterampilan berbahasa serta tahap perkembangan peserta didik. Namun, ditemukan keterbatasan stimulus untuk keterampilan berbicara pada Fase A yang kurang didukung panduan visual dan narasi kontekstual. Bentuk asesmen apresiasi sastra disajikan secara beragam, meliputi penilaian formatif, penilaian kinerja, tes tertulis terbuka, dan tes kinerja kreatif untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman, reflektif, ekspresif, serta kepekaan estetik. Secara umum, kedua buku ajar telah mengakomodasi stimulus dan asesmen apresiasi sastra secara cukup komprehensif, meskipun penguatan stimulus berbicara masih perlu ditingkatkan

Abstract

Writing skills are one of the important aspects in Indonesian language learning that significantly contribute to developing students' critical, logical, and creative thinking skills. However, students often perceive learning to write as problematic and boring, so their motivation and engagement in the learning process tend to be low. Therefore, an innovative approach is needed to overcome these challenges. This research aims to explore the implementation of hypnotherapy principles in learning to write Indonesian texts, particularly in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. Hypnotaching is a teaching method that utilises techniques of positive suggestion, pacing, leading, modelling, relaxation, alpha state, and visualisation to increase students' motivation and engagement in the learning process. The method used in this research is a literature study. Various theoretical sources and previous research were analysed to identify how hypnotherapy techniques can be effectively applied in learning to write fiction and nonfiction. The results show that applying hypnotherapy principles can effectively support the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum, which focuses on developing students' creativity and critical thinking skills in writing Indonesian texts. The application of Hypnotaching Techniques (such as positive suggestion, visualisation, and modelling) effectively supports the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum, which focuses on developing students' creativity and critical thinking skills in writing texts. Thus, hypnoteaching principles can be an innovative and practical approach in learning writing in secondary schools, providing students with space to experiment, develop new ideas, and improve the overall quality of their writing.
