Abstract

The research was conducted on June 2013 in mangrove forest of Marine Protected Areas (MPA), Pariaman city West Sumatra Province. The method of this research was survey method, which primary data were gotten on research area. This study aimed to find out of macrozoobenthos distribution in mangrove forest of Marine Protected Areas (MPA) Pariaman of West Sumatra. Macrozoobenthos sampling was carried out on sub-plot measuring 1m x 1m, which plot measuring 5m x 5m, as many as 5 plot where as sediment samples were taken at each station.Macrozoobenthos species were found in this area, those are Cerithidea anticipata, Neritodryas dubia, Neptunea decemcostata, Ellobium aurisjudae, Littoraria sp, Pitar manillae, Tapes literata, Geloina coaxans and Uca coarctata. Morisita distribution index of macrozoobenthos on three stations around 1.0469 to 1.0252. Morisita distribution index on every station are more than 1 (> 1), it means that distribution characteristic from into groups.Keywords: Pariaman, Macrozoobenthos, Distribution

Abstract

Research about abundance of planktonic diatoms with concentration ofnitrate and phosphate in Belawan waters of North Sumatra Province wasconducted in February 2013. The purpose of this study was to know the type ofplanktonic diatom, nitrate and phosphate concentration, diatom communitystructure, determine the relationship between nitrate and phosphate concentrationwith Abundance of diatoms. Samples taken from 4 stations. The sampleidentification was obtained by 16 diatom species. The abundance of diatoms is inthe range of 4,018-4,802 ind/liter. The nitrate concentration of each station is inthe range of 0.261-0.507 mg/l. The concentration of phosphate in the range of0.064-0.126 mg/l. The diversity index is moderate, no dominant type and theuniformity index belongs to the still-balanced waters. The relationship of nitrateand phosphate concentration to diatom abundance is classified as moderate topositive value, the higher the concentration of nitrate and phosphate, the higherthe diatom abundance.Keyword: Belawan Waters, Diatom, Abudance, Nitrate & Phosphate

Abstract

Study was conducted in february 2017. This report aims to understand structure community of mangrove in the village Pantai Cermin kiri in the Pantai Cermin North Sumatra. Methods used in research is method of surveying. The research station based on human activity. In every station divided into 3 transects with long transects 50 m lead from the sea to land. The number of a plot used by 27, with each size 10 x 10 m2 to tree level, 5 x 5 m m2 to the saplings, and 2 x 2m2 to level seedling. The result of this research found 7 mangrove species in the village Pantai Cermin kiri. Vegetation that dominated is Rhizophora apiculata with INP of 300 %. A condition of vegetation in the village Pantai Cermin Kiri in the shore Pantai Cermin mangrove are forest area is still in good with the density of of 2377,78 tree / ha.Kata Kunci: Village Pantai Cermin Kiri, Structure Community, mangrove.

Abstract

This research is aimed to determine the distribution of demersal fish schooling and the relation between demersal fish schooling and temperature, salinity and depth of water by using hydroacoustic method. The research was held in August 2014 at the Research Institute of Marine Fisheries Laboratory of Muara Baru, North Jakarta. This research used hydroacoustic method with acoustic descriptor techniques. The amount of fish schooling was obtained by digitization and integration, the values of integration would have generated the position and depth of the waters. Demersal fish schooling which found in waters of Tarakan were comprising of 19 schooling. The dominant fish schooling occured at temperature of 270 C to 280 C and tended to be appear at salinity of 35.5 ‰. Type of demersal fish schooling in Tarakan waters was mostly emerged in form of horizontal contained in the bottom of ocean.Keywords :Kalimantan, Tarakan, Demersal Fish, Fish Schooling , Hydroacoustic

Abstract

Sea surface temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a are important water qualityparameter in the sea, especially the coastal areas. The research was conducted inJanuary - March 2017 in the waters of Belawan, North Sumatera Province with theaim to determine the relationship of sea surface temperature and chlorophyllconcentrations-a.The method used is survey with direct measurements in the watersof Belawan, North Sumatera and using MODIS Aqua satellite image data in March2016 - February 2017. Sea surface temperature MODIS Aqua satellite image datain March 2016 - February 2017 ranged from 29.45 to 31.7oC and chlorophyll-arange of 0.48 to 2.62 mg / l. Field data sea surface temperature ranges from 26-30°Cand chlorophyll-a range of 2.08 to 17.62 mg / l. Interpretation of the data from theMODIS Aqua satellite imagery and field data to explain that the sea surfacetemperature and chlorophyll concentrations-a very weak, r = 0.1791. Abstract

The research was conducted in January-February 2017 in Mengkapan Village, Sungai Apit, District of Siak. The purpose of study was to determine the structure community of mangrove in Mengkapan Village. The method used in the research was survey method. The stations were determined based on human activity. Each station was determined in three transects set along 100 m from the sea toward the land. The number of plots was 27, with the size of 10 x 10 m2 for tree criteria, 5 x 5m2 for sapling criteria, and 2 x 2m2 for the seedlings criteria. The results of this study found 10 species of mangrove. The vegetation was dominated by species of R. apiculata with value 155.71%. The status of mangrove vegetation in Mengkapan Village, Sungai Apit was in bad condition, with the average density of 607.40 ind/ha.Keywords: Mangrove, Structure community, Village Mengkapan

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted in Mei 2018, to analysis relations of pattern current and sediment characteristics in Sasak Beach. The sediment samples were taken from four stations and anylised at Oceanography Laboratory Fisheries and Marine Faculty University of Riau. The result of the research, station I shows the dominant fraction is sandy mud under the influence of current velocity 0,10 m/s at high tide and 0,5 m/s at low tide. In station II shows the dominant fraction is mud sandy under the influence of current velocity 0,7 m/s at high tide and 1 m/s at low tide. In station III shows the dominant fraction is sandy gravel under the influence of current velocity 0,3 m/s at high tide and 0,8 m/s at low tide. In station IV shows the dominant fraction is sandy gravel under the influence of current velocity 0,8 m/s at high tide and 1,2 m/s at low tide. Keywords: Current, Sediment, Sasak Beach

Abstract

ABSTRACT             This research was conducted in April 2019 with the aim of finding out the abundance and distribution patterns of gastropods in the mangroves of Anak Setatah Village.Determination of the sampling location is done by purposive sampling, which is to determine the sampling point intentionally based on certain objectives.Sampling was carried out in the mangrove area of Anak Setatah Village with different mangrove forest conditions and gastropod identification was carried out at the Marine Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Riau University.The results showed that the total number of species found were 8 gastropod species.In the mangrove mono species 4 gastropod species were found and the mangrove multi species species were found 8 gastropod species, while the highest gastropod abundance was found in the mangrove mono species at observation station IV, which was 23.16 ind/m2 and the lowest was in the multi species mangrove area. at observation station 1 which is 5.36 ind/m2. Key word :Abundance, Distribution Patterns, Anak Setatah Village

Abstract

Hutan mangrove menyediakan berbagai pelayanan ekologi, namun saat ini sedang mengalami tekanan dari aktivitas manusia seperti industrialisasi di wilayah pesisir. Kajian regenerasi alami semai populasi Rhizophora apiculata telah dilakukan diantara kawasan industri perminyakan dan kawasan non industri Provinsi Riau. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kerapatan regenerasi semai alami R. apiculata tertingginya berada di kawasan non industri (Stasiun 4) dan kerapatan semai alami terendahnya berada di kawasan industri perminyakan (Stasiun 1, 2 dan 3). Selain itu, faktor kualitas perairan masih dalam batasan toleransi bagi kehidupan regenerasi semai alami R. apiculata dengan suhu perairan tertingginya berada di Stasiun 3, salinitas (Stasiun 4), pH (Stasiun 1), DO (Stasiun 4) dan potensial redoks (Stasiun 1). Selain itu, berdasarkan analisis keterkaitan kualitas perairan terhadap regenerasi semai alami R. apiculata mengunakan PCA, pada Stasiun 2, 3 dan 4 dicirikan oleh parameter suhu dan DO. Sementara Stasiun 1 dicirikan oleh parameter potensial redoks dan pH.

Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove Bandar Bakau Dumai saling berkaitan antara kelestarian hayati, alam,  budaya yang saling berhubungan membentuk suatu sestem untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang akan melahirkan sebuah strategi pengambangan ekowisata.   Di sini peneliti menelaah formulasi kebijakan pemerintah kota dumai dalam pengambangan Bandar Bakau. Studi tentang model pengembangan ekowisata mangrove Bandar bakau dibatasi pada pemahaman atau pengetahuan yang dimiliki pemerintah, masyarakat dan swasta dalam perannya sebagai faktor utama pengambangan ekowisata. Data Primer, untuk mengetahui langsung permasalahan penelitian seperti data tentang berbagai kebijakan tentang pengembangan ekowisata mangrove. Informan penelitian adalah wali kota dumai, Kepala Dinas Pariwisata kota Dumai, LSM pecinta alam bahari. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara penelitian lapangan dan wawancara terhadap sejumlah informan mengenai ragam regulasi dan yang lainnya sesuai yang akan dikaji dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian mengahasilkan model berdasarkan analisis itu dikembangkan strategi yang merupakan interaksi antar faktor penting dalam pengembangan ekowisata mangrove bandar bakau dumai dan digambarkan dalam  hubungan fungsi S = G+(P, So).
