Abstract

In developing the language teaching evaluation system, communicative competence must be the most important thing to refer to. Thus, it is clear that the grading system used by elementary school teachers needs to be evaluated. The proses of datas analysis were focused on writing skill evaluation design which was appropriate to contextual approach and class based grading. The conclusion of this research was that the writing skill evaluation used by elementary student in Magelang was not the same, every group based on different teaching manual plan or “RPP”, and different manual books. The way and the time for evaluation were also different. The type of questions for writing skill evaluation in Magelang elementary school were multiple choices, short question and essay. There are some evaluations and writing skill type questions which were appropriate with the basic evaluation on teaching manual plan and which were inappropriate with it. The character of contextual approach was not fix with the teaching manual plan given. The teaching evaluation system applied contextual approach, while the technique of grading applied the class based grading with the minimum quality. Abstract

The integration of local wisdom and teaching method in all language skills are important to preserve the culture and to insert the character values. This notion relates with this study in which the local wisdom and group investigation method are integrated in teaching writing. Group investigation is teaching method that build students’ team work. Besides, the aim of this study is to explore the effect of implementing group investigation method and local wisdom in improving students’ writing skill. The research method used is a quasi-experimental study (one group Pre-test - Post-test). The subject of this study is junior high school students. The results of T-test show that there is a significant difference of students’ writing skill before and after getting the treatment. Besides, integrating group investigation method and local wisdom is more effective to enhance students’ writing skill. Furthermore, this study gives theoretical, practical, and pedagogical implications in teaching writing. The novelty of this study is that this study uses interdisciplinary approach, especially in integrating the local wisdom discourse and group investigation method. The contribution of this study is to the language teachers especially those who concern with writing skills, on how to develop teaching method using cultural approach in creative way

Abstract

The learning-media subject aims for students to have the competence of makinga variety of instructional media. In fact, the student‟s competences in designing, creating, and displaying the instructional media are not maximized since the media made by students is often not discussed in the class. A comprehensive measurement of aspects of learning; covering aspects of the process, performance, and product; can be done using authentic assessment approaches. The results show that the contextual elements of authentic assessment approach can improve students' competence in designing, creating, and displaying graphics media. It also change their attitudes and interests from negative to positive. it is suggested that lecturers discuss the students‟ project in the lecture. Unnes is expected to improve the facilities of learning media that can lead students to be more creative and innovative in creating instructional media. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan menulis surat resmi melalui pendekatan keterampilan proses pada peserta didik kelas VIII-A MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah keterampilan menulis surat resmi pada peserta didik kelas VIII-A MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan nontes. Dari hasil penelitian, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan proses pembelajaran, peserta didik menjadi lebih perhatian, bersemangat dan lebih aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, peningkatan keterampilan menulis surat resmi sebesar 10,05% pada siklus II, dan peningkatan perubahan perilaku peserta didik dari perilaku negatif menjadi perilaku positif. Kata Kunci: menulis surat resmi, pendekatan keterampilan proses Abstract The purpose of this research is improving the skill of writing formal letter through the process-skills approach to the students of grade VIII-A of MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak. The design of this research is classroom action research. The subject of this research is the skill of writing formal letter of the students of grade VIII-A of MTs Miftahul Ulum Ngemplak Mranggen Demak. The technique of collecting data uses test and non-test techniques. From the research, showed an increasement in the learning process, the students become more attentive, eager and more active in participating learning process, the improvement of writing formal letter increased by 10.5% in the second cycle, and there are behavioral changes of students from negative into positive behavior. Abstract

Keterampilan menulis merupakan keterampilan berbahasa yang sulit dikuasai oleh siswa, salah satunya menulis drama. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut yaitu mengembangkan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru dan siswa seperti metode menulis berantai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan kebutuhan pengemabngan metode menulis berantai. (2) mendeskripsikan pengembangan metode menulis berantai. (3) mengembangkan desain prototipe metode pembelajaran menulis berantai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) menurut sukmadinata dkk. Langkah penelitian ini terdiri dari beberapa tahap antara lain yaitu studi pustaka, survey lapangan, penyususnan produk, dan revisi produk yang dinilai oleh ahli metode pembelajaran dan ahli materi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif.Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut: (1) dibutuhkan metode pembelajaran yang melibatkan siswa secara langsung sehingga membuat kegiatan belajar aktif dan memotivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran. (2) Prinsip penyusunan metode menulis berantai (misbar) berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan menurut persepsi guru dan siswa. Prinsip pengembangan tersebut antara lain yaitu prinsip motivasi, prinsip keterampilan, prinsip kreativitas, dan prinsip efektif. (3) Produk yang dihasilkan dari pengembangan metode menulis berantai berupa desain prototipe metode pembelajaran yang direalisasikan dalam bentuk buku panduan. Produk tersebut telah divalidasi oleh ahli materi dengan nilai 4.2 dan ahli metode pembelajaran sebesar 4.7. Dengan hasil tersebut, desain produk metode pembelajaran menulis berantai berkategori baik dan layak digunakan dengan sedikit revisi.Kata kunci: drama, menulis berantai, metode pembelajaran.

Abstract

Literary work is an imaginative form of the author about the reality of the lives of local people. In the creation of literary works the authors photographed real life, including raising the local wisdom values of the culture of local people in the background of the story. Local wisdom should be kept and kept preserved, one of which explores the values of wisdom on cultural elements in the novel. The approach in this study is a qualitative speech with a descriptive method of analysis. The source of the data used is derived from J. S. Maulana's Endeavar Cinta from Adonara, with a study object of local wisdom reflected in cultural elements. The data is collected by the library study methods and the collection techniques are read, mark and classify. The data analysis method used is a descriptive analytical method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis materi Stand Up Comedy yang dibawakan oleh Bintang Emon di media you tube dan instagram. Stand Up Comedy menjadi salah satu acara komedi yang berbeda dari acara komedi pada umumnya. Materi berisi cerita atau pancalan yang memanfaatkan bahasa untuk memberikan informasi pada penoton dibuat lebih berkelas. Tujuannya menganalisis bagaimana jenis majas dan bentuk majas yang digunakan Bintang Emon ketika membawakan materi stand up comedy. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik dengan teknik pemerolehan data simak dan catat. Hasil analisisnya ditemukan beberapa majas, seperti hiperbola, ironi, sarkasme, Majas Paralipsis Majas Hipalase Majas Antifrasis Majas Klimaks Majas Paranomasia Majas Zeugma dan Silepsis Majas Sinisme Majas Innuendo Majas Oksimoran Majas Histeron Proteron. Penelitian dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu materi ajar bahasa Indonesia untuk gaya bahasa. Dunia hiburan di televisi memberi ruang pada penonton untuk menginterpretasi tentang sesuatu yang ada di dalam konten tayangan. Berbagai acara disajikan demi memberi tontonan baik yang membuat haru, emosi, dan tawa. Salah satu yang menjadi icon hiburan kaum milenial adalah acara komedi yang disajikan dengan cara berbeda dari biasanya. Sebelumnya, tayangan komedi sering disajikan dalam bentuk film, drama, sitkom, atau acara realy show yang diisi dengan humor dan gimik.

Abstract

The writing of this conceptual article is motivated by the existence of teaching materials that have not explicitly conveyed material about pragmatics. There needs to be a written submission and it is stated in the textbook that the material presented is about pragmatic studies. Studies that include persuasive speech seek to influence the reader. Searle's theory of persuasive speech act theory, which includes assertive, commissive, expressive, declarative, and directive speech acts is the subject of study in writing this conceptual article. Armed with these materials, students from the beginning have been prepared as linguists, although it is unlikely that all students are in that direction.
