Abstract

Tuna fisheries represent a strategic sector within Indonesia’s fishing industry, offering high economic value and significant export potential. This study aims to analyze the traceability system of the supply chain and marketing margins of tuna fisheries at the Ocean Fishery Port (PPS) Kutaraja, Banda Aceh. A survey method was employed to collect data through structured interviews using purposive sampling. The findings reveal that the tuna supply chain involves multiple actors, from fishermen and local traders (toke bangku) to processing factories and exporters. The highest marketing margin, reaching 20%, was found at the processing level. The implementation of traceability systems is not yet fully integrated, particularly in the distribution and processing stages. Gap analysis indicates significant discrepancies between export traceability standards and current practices at PPS Kutaraja. Integrated policies to strengthen traceability systems, provide compliance incentives, and develop cold chain infrastructure are essential to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian tuna exports and improve the welfare of local fishermen

Abstract

Prevention of accidents for over-height vehicles that will pass through tunnels or underpasses is very necessary. This prevention is done by providing an early warning to over-height vehicles. Early warning is carried out using a system that is able to detect oversized vehicles from the tunnel or underpass height allowed to be passed. This system must have high accuracy and be resistant to various environmental conditions. Interference in detection can occur due to rain, wind, lack of light, night time, various backgrounds such as walls, trees, and two-way roads. This research examines the durability of computer vision-based over-height vehicle detection methods against environmental condition influences. The methods used are Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) and blob detection. Samples were taken in 3 different location conditions and detected in 5 frame variations. The results of this research show that GMM and blob detection is excellent performance and resilience against environmental conditions. This method can detect over-height vehicles with an accuracy reaching 100% with the number of frames at 5 and 7. It is expected that this detection method can provide more accurate early warnings for over-height vehicles, thereby increasing road user safety.

Abstract

The Meugang tradition is a cultural heritage of the Acehnese people, held before Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha. The main activities involve the slaughtering of animals and the mass cooking of meat as an expression of gratitude and preparation for the arrival of these significant Islamic holidays. This tradition not only reflects social and cultural values but is also closely tied to religious aspects believed to be rooted in Islamic teachings. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Meugang tradition in Mata Ie, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency, from a hadith perspective to assess the alignment of its values with Islamic principles. The study employs a qualitative-descriptive method using the living hadith approach and taḥlīlī analysis. The findings reveal that the Meugang tradition has a strong foundation in Islamic teachings, particularly hadiths regarding the encouragement of sharing food, welcoming festivals with joy, and the importance of strengthening social bonds. Although this tradition is not explicitly mentioned in the hadith, the values contained within it align with the spirit of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. The implications of this research emphasize that the preservation of Meugang can strengthen Islamic values in social life, maintain religious cultural identity, and serve as an example of harmonizing local wisdom with religious teachings.

Abstract

In an era of increasingly intense globalization, multicultural societies face serious challenges in maintaining social cohesion amid cultural, ethnic, religious, and linguistic differences. While diversity is an asset that enriches social life, this reality also harbors the potential for conflict, especially when triggered by negative stereotypes, prejudices, and misunderstandings between groups. Therefore, a multicultural approach supported by inclusive education and cross-cultural dialogue is crucial for fostering empathy, understanding, and peaceful coexistence within society. Indonesia, with its vast geographical character and highly diverse socio-cultural composition, is a real representation of the challenges and potential of multiculturalism. In this context, a multicultural approach not only serves as a social strategy but also as a principle in shaping public policy oriented toward tolerance and respect for differences. However, historical records show that social cohesion in Indonesia has often been shaken, particularly due to horizontal conflicts reflecting the fragility of the foundations of social integration. This situation calls for comprehensive and sustainable solutions that address the root causes of the problem structurally and culturally. One relevant approach to responding to this complexity is the concept of ukhuwah wathaniyah or national brotherhood. This concept emphasizes the importance of collective responsibility and mutual respect among citizens in order to build national solidarity. This article aims to analyze this concept from the perspective of the Qur'an, focusing on M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation in his tafsir Al-Misbah, particularly regarding Surah Al-Hujurat verse 13. Through this tafsir, Quraish Shihab emphasizes that human diversity is part of sunnatullah, intended for mutual understanding, not discrimination. The measure of a person’s nobility is not determined by social status, ethnicity, or cultural affiliation, but by the quality of their piety and character.
