Abstract

The low of student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects is caused by a lack of student involvement and the conventional methods used by the teacher. Therefore the need for creativity and mathematical habits of mind to be able to improve learning outcomes. To improve creativity and mathematical habits of mind, learning methods are needed that can stimulate student’s creativity and mathematical habits of mindwith Creative Problem Solving (CPS)models assisted by visual media. The aims of this study was to determine the increase in student’s creativity and mathematical habits of mindby applying CPS models assisted by visual media in grade X MA Al-Kautsar NW RebanBurung Academic Year 2018/2019. This type of research was classroom action research conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle obtained the level of creativity of students was 2.78, and for the percentage of students' mathematical habits of mind was 63.63%, and the percentage of classical completeness was 75%. While in the second cycle there was an increase in the level of student creativity to 3.07, and for the percentage of students mathematical habits of mind increased to 82.25%, the percentage of classical completeness reached 95% and had fulfilled the KKM.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning activeness of students in grade X of MA Al-Ma’Arif Academic Year 2017/2018 by applying generative learning. The type of research used was classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. There were 2 meetings for each cycle. The average value of learning activeness data of student in the first cycle were 35.8 and 40.6 (first and second meetings), with categories of dislike and hesitation. And in the second cycle were 53.2 and 63.2 with categories of hesitation and likes. Thus it could be concluded that by applying generative learning can improve student learning activeness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis dan kreatif matematik siswaMTsNegeri 1Jonggat dengan pembelajaran TASC (Think, Actively, and Social Context) pada materi segitiga karena di MTs N 1 Jonggat pembelajaran matematika yang mereka rasakan kurang bermakna. Masih ada guru, pada saat pembelajaran matematika tidak mengaitkan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, padahal mengaitkan pengalaman kehidupan nyata siswa dengan idea-idea matematika dalam pembelajaran di kelas penting dilakukan agar pembelajaran lebih bermakna bagi siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, tiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluasi dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes untuk mengukur kemampuan berfikir kritis dan kreatif matematika siswa MTsN 1 jonggat pada materi segitiga. Dan wawancara dilakukan untuk melakukanproses triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada siklus 1 ada 6 dari 22 siswa yang tidak tuntas. Sedangkan pada siklus 2 semua siswa tuntas. Oleh karena itu pembelajaran dengan mode TASC mampu menumbuhkan rasa ingin tahu (inquiri),  pembiasaan bertanya, kemampuan menyampaikan pendapat, kerja sama sosial dalam belajar sehingga terbentuk budaya berpikir (cultural thinking) siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was determine the effect of application of lattice multiplication method to overcome the difficulties of completing mathematical multiplication and anxiety operations in grade VIII of SMPN 7 Pujut. The method used in this study was  pre-experimental research method with one group pre and posttest design research design. The sample of this study was representative of students from each class in grade VIII of SMPN 7 Pujut, it was recommended by mathematics teachers because they had difficulty completing multiplication operations, about 20 students. Based on the results of the study, the mean difference in the percentage of the initial results mathematical anxiety questionnaire with the final result was from 56.37% decreased to 42.65%, which were both still in the sufficient category. Furthermore, by testing the hypothesis using the t test (paired sample t test) assisted by SPSS 16.0 obtained data tcount = 0,000 and with a = 5% = 0.05 obtained ttable = 1.729 which means tcount  ttable. These results indicate that there were significant differences between the results of the test before applying the lattice multiplication method (pretest) with the results after the application of the lattice multiplication method (posttest) obtained by students. Thus it can be concluded that there was a rejection of H0 so that Ha is accepted, where Ha reads: there was an effect of the application of lattice multiplication method to overcome the difficulties of completing mathematical multiplication and anxiety operations in grade VIII of SMPN 7 Pujut.

Abstract

The problem and challenge of learning mathematics in West Lombok in particular and Indonesia in general is the low ability of students' mathematical literacy. The findings of researchers in the field are that students' understanding of mathematics is a standard procedure for solving routine problems. Students have difficulty solving problems in the form of mathematical applications in everyday life. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve students' abilities in the process of constructing, simplifying, and compiling mathematical models, as well as their use in solving everyday problems. One thing that can be done is to simplify the mathematical concept into a series of activities in accordance with the sequence of students' knowledge development by using environmental media as a learning medium. Such a learning concept is scientific learning based on local wisdom. The purpose of this research is to produce scientific learning tools based on local wisdom that can improve the mathematics literacy skills of SMP / MTs students in West Lombok Regency. This type of research is Development Research. This research procedure carried out by referring to the 4-D Model, namely the Define stage, the Design stage, the Develop stage, and the Disseminate stage. The results of the validation show that local wisdom-based scientific learning tools are in the very valid category. The test results show that local wisdom-based scientific learning tools are very effective in improving the mathematics literacy skills of SMP / MTs students in West Lombok.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir siswa ditinjau dari Wallas dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika dengan pokok bahasan Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel di kelas VIII MTs NW Lingsar Tahaun Pelajaran 2021/2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi  penelitian ini adalah di MTs NW Lingsar. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 6 orang siswa yang memiliki kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah berdasarkan nilai akhir ulangan semester pada matappelajaran matematika.Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebnayak 3 nomor soal essay pada mataeri Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel yang berbentuk soal cerita. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa memberikan tes, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan untuk menggali informasi yang lebih mendalam terkait dengan hasil tes tertulis siswa sebelumnya. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan 3 tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dari keseluruhan subjek baik kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah pada proses persiapan, inkubasi, dan iluminasi siswa mampu memenuhi prose 3 indikator sedangkan di tahap proses verifikasi hanya S1 yang mampu memberikan proses yang benar, sedangkan subjek lain tidak bisa berdasarkan dari teori Wallas
